I don’t understand, if this isn’t the life she wanted and just complains about it, why did she put herself there? Or does she mistake the complaining as being something we would pity her for and give her money? She did this to herself, if she doesn’t like it then maybe there is still time to change.
Also, is she complaining when she posts pictures high on drugs or is she showing off/bragging while high off her big score?
I feel like [especially with her and kelly] they go farther than they meant to, and ended up with permanent consequences they did not want. munchies don't usually just want to be sick. they want attention, sympathy, support etc and achieve that by faking, or inducing, illness/injury
im new here, i have combed her Tik Tok and rolled my eyes heavily and think shes grifting, how did she put herself in there though? i cant find that bit of info! xx
Here ya go! [Paige Timeline](https://www.reddit.com/r/illnessfakers/comments/w0zdkw/new_subject_paigeforeverdying_stardust_ed_patient/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

And the first thing she did when it was posted was hopping straight to her comment section to inform everyone whose "been asking how they can help" that her wishlist is in her bio.
You’re supposed to remove all body jewelry before surgery. OR replace it with non-metal jewelry (glass is recommended.)
Her microdermal wouldn’t be able to be removed, because it’s basically a one point piercing. The only way to remove it would mean it was permanently gone.
Her eyebrow jewelry should be removed. But it’s possible she put up enough of a fuss or claimed she couldn’t remove it that they just covered it with tape.
The main issue with body jewelry is that they use electrocautery to seal blood vessels and it can create an electrical arc, leading to mild or severe burns.
Medical scheduler here. Pre-op for patients normally lasts an hour- 1.5hr at least from the appts I’ve seen in my career unless it’s a serious trauma. Med staff feel free to jump in
Literally this. It just looks like snapped a few photos during a trip with transporter to go get a routine x-ray / CT scan or whatever and she cooked up all of that narrative & bullshit to go with it.
Hmm any infection can usually be prevented by basics in hygiene… like warm soapy water… /s but seriously, it has to be deliberate at this point. She needs mental help.
Nose hose is latest aesthetic…
i dont see how she has hundreds if not thousands of people in her comments „commending her bravery“ and sending love and hugs and support. are they blind??? it reminds me of hope all over again, people blindly sending money and buying her things and offering her support when she should be off social media entirely. just gives her room to freely grift.
"...this morning the dr (sic) and the nurse realised (sic) i have major redness and swelling on my other hip...its so incredibly painful..."
They *realized* it that morning? Why on earth would they not have known about it earlier by way of her *telling them*? And how long has it taken to reach this oh-so painful infection, requiring surgery. A very quick one, mind you. *And* you're allowed to take pics for the 'gram the whole time!
She's a spEcHul patient.
You don't get to bring your phone to OR. Also, her eyebrow piercing would be covered/taped over. You don't go from OR back to your room - PACU is a thing. The holes in her story are big enough to drive a truck through....
What's worse than her stupid faces are the fact that she's so "drugged up" but she can coherently open the app, pose for the picture, take it, write a caption and then upload it. Also apparently she has her phone right by her immediately after she wakes up from surgery because for some reason, her surgeons would allow it. 🙄
She might be getting some sh*t from her Amazon wish list or even money, but someone has to tell this woman she’s not getting an Oscar for her bad acting. It’s so cringey 😑
Man, I read her mom's forum posts last night. I feel so bad for her family and I honestly don't see Paige getting out of this alive -- based on her lengthy history.
It's so incredibly sad, but there's absolutely nothing anyone can do for her or any munchie if they don't want help.
Gotta love how there's tape over her piercings as she's waiting to be wheeled to the OR, but there isn't any tape when the alleged pre-op med cocktail kicks in nor isn't any tape when the alleged surgery is over and she's being sent back to her room.
I've noticed she seems to have her phone and posting pretty fast in situations many wouldn't have their phone there with them.
There was another post where she 'just came around' and it just seems suss. Either exaggerated or fabricated I guess?
In a lot of the videos she's suggesting that she's still in the recovery area. I can't imagine any hospital allowing phones in the recovery area, for a multitude of reasons. For one, there would be a high likelihood that the phone may get damaged or lost (most hospitals have you keep your personal belongings either in a secure place or with loved ones, to prevent them being lost). Most importantly, allowing people to have phones could violate other patients privacy. Recovery areas are often open plan, at least that's what they're like where I live. It makes it easier for staff to keep an eye on everyone and assistance can be given quickly if needed. Other patients wouldn't have consented to being on camera. I don't think many people would be comfortable being in someone else's video, when they're coming round from anesthesia.
They don’t normally start giving IV anesthesia until the patient is in the OR. There wouldn’t be a friend or relative in the OR to take that pic of “the meds kicking in.”
She literally just pointed the camera and closed her eyes for the shot.
They would have to see the change in attitude needed to portray her seriously sick persona vs the recovering from self inflicted issues person.
No one would be happy to see the visual changes in appearance.
I can't stand the way she tries to make selfies look like candids, like someone else just happened to snap a pic of her as she was looking away wistfully, or right as the meds are kicking in. Selfies don't work like that, you can't catch yourself off guard.
Edited to fix typo.
I just wanna know how she had her phone on the way down to the OR and back. We don’t let people bring belongings with them. They leave them in the hospital room or with family or in a belongings bag given back after recovering. So OTT.
Where I work, you cannot take any personal belongings going to the OR. Unless she has family or friends to hold on to it. Otherwise, hospital security locks it up. I highly doubt the nurses in recovery room are going to drop what they are doing to retrieve her phone.
What is her status as an adult? I saw someone say she's been in & out of group homes and that discharging her before treatment finishes is complicated by this. I'm just wondering, does she have some sort of state guardianship? I'm not really familiar with her background but we had some Paiges when I worked in psych & almost all of them had a guardian if they had no responsible family to continue overseeing them. Just curious about her family history/background.
She is an adult. 24 iirc. Cut off from her family due to her munching and grnersl toxicity + refusal to get help.
I recommend looking up "Paige mom munchausen" on google to find a history of her mom's heartbreaking documentation of earlier struggles on a forum.
She has a relationship with her Dad and sister I’ve seen from recent posts. Her mom no. I’m not sure of her status though or what her situation truly is. I’m not sure if anyone does. She never leaves this “hospital.” She called it hospice for a long time and I believe she’s in the same facility but has stopped calling it hospice.
On her TikTok from yesterday she says she's going to be alone for Xmas, and someone asks where her family is and she said she cut them all off except for her sister. So maybe her dad has finally wised up too
Already grifting Christmas? She could have easily grifted thanksgiving, even in another country. At least, her attempts would have been amusing and enraging. I am surprised she didn’t even try.
no idea i just don’t know how her and anelise get these pics and videos of procedures or hospital staff and don’t get in trouble. there’s no way nurses haven’t found these subjects
Im confused why she was rushed to surgery in 30 minutes when standard treatment is antibiotics. Either her doctors love cutting this girl open or Paige is a great actress and surgery didn’t actually happen
Source: I’m a nurse.
Actual source: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cellulitis/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20370766
Another one: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15071-cellulitis
ETA: surgery can be performed for cellulitis but it is extremely rare and would be done if antibiotics aren’t working.
And even if they did do an incision and drainage or washout, with the NZ health system how it is currently there’s no way she would be rushed down to theatre for it within 30 minutes like she claims.
I can’t see where it would be beneficial to cut into someone with cellulitis, wouldn’t that just give the infection another avenue to travel and create sepsis?
It’s only used for extreme cases when antibiotics are not working. Surgeons basically go in and scrape the infection out. It’s called debridement. In Paige’s case they are so unlikely to do surgery considering she just had surgery so her risks go up every time.
Very good point. Really none of the pictures at all show anything happening other than her lying on a bed that was also in an elevator at one point. She literally could have just asked to be taken down for fresh air or a snack she would pretend she was only getting to just stare at longingly.
Those bacteria are getting more and more resistant and she’s about to really find out what they’re capable of. Sometimes the only solution is to physically cut out the infected tissue before it’s out of control. There’s a tipping point and she’s reached it.
Is that what this ‘surgery’ could be? They had to hack pieces out? Everything is ‘surgery’ to them. If they get moved to another room for testing, it’s surgery! It’s wild
Idk how they’re letting her have her posting pics like this
Yeah, at this point I don't think she cares about the consequences. She's a really sad case, it wouldn't surprise me if she ended up losing her life or doing significant damage to herself, but she won't stop.
Possibly, though I sometimes think she only has "positive" (for lack of a better word) consequences on her mind like getting attention on social media and maybe items from her Amazon wishlist while she ignores potential serious consequences up to her actions costing her her life.
Lmao yep, amazed how she remembered to take some weird “I want some candid video but I don’t have any loved ones so I have to take it myself” video during all the chaos before this very scary 100% real rushed surgery that she *DEEEFINITELY* had.
Man, that surgery **100% definitely happened**. That’s for sure!
Surgical nurse here… it was NOT 30 minutes. 30 minutes is the time we get told an emergency (like getting shot) is coming to in surgery room time. Crock of BS
Strong IV Meds, severe pain & a fast preparation for a surgery procedure & she still has time to take selfies & update the world. Boy, how does she do it 🙄
It probably depends.
Usually, they will take your phone and any other things, watch, jewelry, etc and lock it up along with your clothes, etc.
I think sometimes they will let you hold on to your phone until it’s time to take you to the OR.
Probably depends on the nurses❤️
where i’m from pre op is where you are transported on the stretchers and it’s the place they wheel you from the OR’s. and post surgery it’s known as PACU. maybe just me
Here, you can have your phone during preop-basically, you give it to them/put it In your belongings bag just before they wheel you down to the operating room

You’re supposed to remove all body jewelry before surgery. OR replace it with non-metal jewelry (glass is recommended.) This is 100% faked. She just took a series of photos and wrote a story. I find her to be one of the more pathetic munchies. It’s just cringe.

So...Tuesday?
Everything is “severe” with these people
I love their choice of hashtags lol
I have a SEVERE Charlie’s horse😔. Wah wah wah gofundme. Same stuff, new day. They’re all so predictable
Be sure to post your Amazon wish list!
She is back online begging for amazon gifts for Christmas on a post that says she is truly terrified
She’s such a terrible actress 🙄 she doesn’t seem scared at all, just dumb.
Surgery for cellulitis, eh 🧐
Just in case you don't know, I'm sorry if you do. Cellulitis is not lumpy thighs, it's a bacterial skin infection that sometime do require surgery
cellulite is lumpy thighs. Cellulitis is a bacterial skin infection. I get that it sounds the same but it’s totally different.
Who takes these pics?! Does she ask a nurse to take her pic as she is being put out?! Or better yet, she might not be getting put out
Why does she always have a shocked looked on her face? Like oh! The horror! Another infection you say? How could this be?!
My hip would be red and sore too if I laid in bed my whole life
THIS ⬆️
How does she keep getting all of these infections? Why the nose hose?
Hmm any infection can usually be prevented by basics in hygiene… like warm soapy water… /s but seriously, it has to be deliberate at this point. She needs mental help. Nose hose is latest aesthetic…
They let her have her phone in theatre?
Anestesia again!? Lmao WHAT
Hashtagging all of your prior illnesses is such a desperate cry for attention. How are they not embarrassed fr
Drugs are a helluva drug
if she could, she would 100% share photos of herself while being under general anesthesia
i dont see how she has hundreds if not thousands of people in her comments „commending her bravery“ and sending love and hugs and support. are they blind??? it reminds me of hope all over again, people blindly sending money and buying her things and offering her support when she should be off social media entirely. just gives her room to freely grift.
Would they not make your remove an eyebrow ring for surgery?

They will tape down eyebrow piercings, tho
Of course it's severe cellulitis 🙄

I think she's in AUS. That's a proper spelling of realize there, and in the UK.
She’s in New Zealand :)
OH NO! I apologize to any Kiwis I may have offended

Yes, I love taking photos when super nauseous and vomiting. /s
Such a tragic pitiful existence. And it’s all her own doing. Shameful.
She might be getting some sh*t from her Amazon wish list or even money, but someone has to tell this woman she’s not getting an Oscar for her bad acting. It’s so cringey 😑
Paige is going to kill herself for attention and to spite her family.
Man, I read her mom's forum posts last night. I feel so bad for her family and I honestly don't see Paige getting out of this alive -- based on her lengthy history. It's so incredibly sad, but there's absolutely nothing anyone can do for her or any munchie if they don't want help.
Ugh, I can’t find her post anywhere. I went to the farm but it seems like site is down at the moment. Could you send it to me maybe?
Can you share a link?
“The meds kicking in” photo. Can’t keep her eyes open but she can take a picture. Uh huh.
So why is her eyebrow ring taped down in slide 2 but not in slide 4? 🙄
Gotta love how there's tape over her piercings as she's waiting to be wheeled to the OR, but there isn't any tape when the alleged pre-op med cocktail kicks in nor isn't any tape when the alleged surgery is over and she's being sent back to her room.
Amazing that even when she's out of it on a cocktail of drugs she's still able to remember to make videos about how extremely sick she is.
I've noticed she seems to have her phone and posting pretty fast in situations many wouldn't have their phone there with them. There was another post where she 'just came around' and it just seems suss. Either exaggerated or fabricated I guess?
She’s 100% making shit up.
Yes! You don't take your phone in the OR with you, you're lucky if they let you keep a hair tie with you.
In a lot of the videos she's suggesting that she's still in the recovery area. I can't imagine any hospital allowing phones in the recovery area, for a multitude of reasons. TLC style, re-enacted for the cameras.
yeah not only where ppl wouldn’t have their phones allowed with them, but most ppl would be way too out of it to even remember they had a phone
This is absolutely true.
They don’t normally start giving IV anesthesia until the patient is in the OR. There wouldn’t be a friend or relative in the OR to take that pic of “the meds kicking in.” She literally just pointed the camera and closed her eyes for the shot.
It’s the MRSA hashtag for me
So let me take this picture of my eyes rolling behind my head now.
Girl has no one else to film her so she’s her own camera crew to capture all the pitiful photos
I agree. it's very 'Bae caught me sleeping'-esque

Clearly the phone can’t be detached from her hand so they obviously just put a bit of tape on it and let it in

Yeah some antibiotics can cause intense nausea and vomiting. Maybe if she didn’t try to infect her own wounds she wouldn’t be in this condition.
Lots of them do, standard side effects vs unusual ones.
Oh boy the “meds kicking in” photo is so cringey
I think my brain protected me from the cringe cuz I missed that one in my first swipe through 🥲

Maybe “surgery” was actually very simple removal of dead tissue and somebody is just very much exaggerating their story for gifts and sympathy.
Could they have taken her for an X-ray and not surgery? 🤷🏼♀️

Well, AFAIK she lost two fingers already because of infection. Still didn't stop her from more fucking around and finding out.
Two? I thought it was only one!
I'm actually unsure right now if it was one or two but even one might have been a FAFO moment for her if she wasn't so deep in the munchie game.
Well the problem is she liked what she found. No one can deny you're sick when you have amputations.
Yeah, at this point I don't think she cares about the consequences. She's a really sad case, it wouldn't surprise me if she ended up losing her life or doing significant damage to herself, but she won't stop.

Strong IV Meds, severe pain & a fast preparation for a surgery procedure & she still has time to take selfies & update the world. Boy, how does she do it 🙄
don’t they take your phone in pre op. like…
typically even a struggle to get glasses back.. phones not a priority, they would want her resting if just out of surgery.
It probably depends. Usually, they will take your phone and any other things, watch, jewelry, etc and lock it up along with your clothes, etc. I think sometimes they will let you hold on to your phone until it’s time to take you to the OR. Probably depends on the nurses❤️

Here, you can have your phone during preop-basically, you give it to them/put it In your belongings bag just before they wheel you down to the operating room
I wouldn’t think a phone would make it that far?
