B5 is the best. I can't wait for the reboot

metaStatic

They went pretty hard on deep time, not sure a reboot would be a good idea, maybe something in universe but not on Babylon 5.

JMS is working on it, and plans on a "From the ground up" reboot. So take from that what you will. Likely it'll be the same overall story with some changes. https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/babylon-5-reboot-the-cw-j-michael-straczynski-1235075236/

It will be REAL hard to recreate the chemistry that Peter Jurassik and Andreas Katsulas had. There were some... not great... actors on that show (I still love it) but those two were leagues ahead of everyone else, and had such great characters to play. I miss them so much. If you're completely rebooting the show though, it makes no sense to have cameos unless you have them be bit players as kind of a wink and nod, rather than reprising anything connected to thier old roles.

Yeah, for all of the less than stellar acting, the characters themselves were amazing, which made what could have been a forgettable show into something amazing. Those actors made them their own. Ivanova, Sheridan, Sinclair... All probably the biggest examples of this (they all chewed the scenery pretty badly some times). But they all grew into their characters that you can hardly imagine anyone else taking those roles.

The original was awesome and one of my favorite shows ever. Having said that, I won't miss the ultra-cheese 90s acting.

I'm guessing it's probably more likely that they simply both draw inspiration from the same source.

Also, showing grey starships on a black background is very hard to read.
