BullCityShredShed

Nice! Does that rack have plate storage you can add? Would really clean it up.

hpg_613

I would want a storage rod for each different weight like one for 45s one for 35s one for 25s etc and not enough room for that on the rack, I hate having to take weights off to get to other weights ...thought about a weight tree but I would want two, one for each side of the rack to avoid having all the weights on one side of the room....I have ocd I know lol

BullCityShredShed

No it makes sense. We want what we want. I get it. I have storage on either side of my rack with 45s 25s 10s and 5s/2.5s on both.

eltoromano

This is a great setup. Is the ceiling 7 feet?

hpg_613

thanks, and yes 7'

Polishmoves

Do you have the rack bolted down to the floor

hpg_613

I do not

PerspectiveOk8157

You have some quality equipment there! Well organized. You can hit everything with that. Congratulations

hpg_613

would like some dumbells but making do for now

Hawgflyer23

Rubber mats on vinyl planks? Do you have anything between the rubber and floor?

hpg_613

it's laminate flooring with rubber mats on it

jajalocklock

Can you share what rack this is?

hpg_613

mine is the Fit505 power rack

BakedWatchingToons

Seeing a few of these around atm, I love it! I have a very similar one that is an alibaba resold dealy. Mine has pulleys which this one doesn't seem to have come with, but everything else is super similar: https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600397287943/Hot-Sale-Home-Use-Multi-Functional.html Only warnings I'd give is that it's definitely shallower front to back than I expected, but it's still totally usable and a good deal imo

luvs2spwge117

What’s the best type of flooring if you’re working on building a home gym? Do you need special types or mats or anything?

hpg_613

depends ....I got laminate floor in my basment so I put rubber mats down for traction and so I don't scuff up the floor ....lots of fitness companies also make drop pads so you can drop deadlifts, and Cleans without damaging your floors or weights....I find stall mats for horses are the best option for putting under and around your rack in my opinion

DeliveryLimp3879

I've got that exact same rack! Works awesomely

n00bprogrammerx

Your wall looks like a creeper

hpg_613

I think it looks like a tiki man or some sort of hyroglif lol

Thumper86

I’ve got the same rack! The yellow is so nice. Edit: my room is [too small to get a good photo](https://imgur.com/a/TFTjn1G), lol

hpg_613

black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow

Unknown_Beast88

I like the yellow and black colour for the power rack. The first rack i used was the one with pins so i just prefer pins. Its easier. The one at the gym i used to go to had the long slates but those were so stubborn and would often get stuck.Id always have to ask someone to help me get them in the right number and that was a pain in the ass. That SSB looks similiar to mine,i think my handles look a bit longer.

Nice Tornado hooks! Home Depot now has these [rails made by Rubbermaid with a bunch of hook options](https://www.homedepot.com/b/Storage-Organization-Garage-Storage-Garage-Wall-Organization-Garage-Storage-Hooks/Rubbermaid/N-5yc1vZ2fkool2Z1an). Worth considering if you ever want to change it up.

hpg_613

those are cool!! will definitely look into those when I get more equipment!!

The_GrimTrigger

Looks awesome! you're going to get some great training in that space. Now you just need a name for it. I like "'s House of Pain", lol.

hpg_613

house of pain and gains 💪🏼

doyoueventdrift

How tall is the rack?

hpg_613

just looked it up it's 83.5 inches with the chin up bar turned the other way...I flipped it for more room

hpg_613

I don't remember I want to say 82 inches maybe

Strong4evah

Looking awesome! Love the safety bar! Does that too bar on the wall hook into your cage? Do you have the link?

ReptarKanklejew

Not OP but that's a viking press attachment for landmine work. Titan and a few others sell them.

Strong4evah

Thank you! Have you used one?

ReptarKanklejew

Yea I have one. It’s nice for variety but I don’t use it all that often

Strong4evah

Sorry for all the questions, I’m just pretty curious.

Strong4evah

So it goes over the end of the bar? The weights are behind the handle? Is that right??

ReptarKanklejew

Yes it goes on the end of the bar. The weights would be below the bar in the orientation in OP’s picture

DryFire117

How do you like the rack? Im thinking of getting that one too. Pretty ingenious flipping the pullup bar upside down to get it to fit

snikt1

I have this rack as well also with the pull up bar flipped. For the money, your not going to get a better rack.

hpg_613

I love it...good budget rack! no complaints at all

hpg_613

Fit505 power rack

Itchy-Lead-359

Looks nice!

ughonlinechats

There's no way I'd ever avoid ramming the sleeves into the wall on the barbell rack....

hpg_613

scuffing the wall a little bit is inevitable but it's a gym not my grandma's dining room 😜

firethequadlaser

If it was Grandma’s dining room you’d keep them inside a china cabinet, only to be used when company comes over.

hpg_613

probably covered in plastic sheets so I don't get them dirty too
