It would have to be a troll. They would just have to do it. Last hero to be added ever, never another change to the game. "Wow, I'm so excited to log in after the patch and buy Baal. Holy shit he looks cool, loading into game now!"
Gets into game: "LOOKING FOR BAAL?" Spawns as Duriel.
There was a great concept floating around years ago where he would have summons to help push lanes or assign to allies as bodyguards, and could set up "Propaganda Towers" that buffed allies in a big radius but could be destroyed by the enemy team. His abilities would require him to stay closer than Abathur, and the enemy team could hunt him down, but he would stay out of direct combat when possible. Really cool concept, it's a shame we never got anything else like it.
> another weird "no direct combat" hero like Aba
In this category, the Overmind is the hero I've always wanted. I want it to be a core-replacement hero.
I'd like to see another off the wall hero that's not really in other mobas like Deathwang, Cho'gul, and Aba.
Maybe a Starcraft hero that's a Science Vessel or Battlecrusier. You have to micro little units that get deployed by the Vessel. The vessel itself acts like Medhiv's Raven form, but when it needs to deploy the micro units or use abilties, he comes out of the mount and has a CD on it like Deathwang, giving an opening to assassinate it.
I think there are several great options. Leeroy would be a fun nod to days gone by. Blizzard All-Stars indeed.
While we are at it, get me a Minus 50 DKP guy announcer pack. “Oh good, you killed the whelp!” “You killed a fort. We still need more dots.”
I always wanted a Cho'gall announcer that gets in long-winded arguments with itself, to the point where it stops commenting on the game at all and it's just Cho and Gall yelling at each other.
Make a hero who, every time they get a kill, their damage squares and their health square roots, and vice versa (every time they die, their damage square roots and their health squares).
Just to emphasize how absurd this idea is, if you want to avoid a character being one shot by any decent ranged or melee attacker after their first death, they'd need to start off with well over 20k health. If you wanted them to have more health than a base Wizard minion after their second death, they'd need over 245k health.
Which means they'd never die in the first place. Let's say they do die though, and their damage was only ***two*** damage per AA to begin with. Within four, very easily achieved deaths due to having basically no health unless they were made unkillable in the first place, their AA attacks now each hit for 65.5k damage, enough to one-shot a core up to the 74 minute mark.
u/CamRoth, you were absolutely right. This is ridiculous.
Ha yeah it is. Something similiar but much, much less extreme could maybe be interesting though.
I like the tradeoff things like Zuljn's health for attack speed, or Whitemane's armor for spell power.
I think an inverse Diablo soul's mechanic combined with Zul's trait would probably best. You would be tanky at the start, but maybe gain damage and lose tankiness(or the other way around) as you gained more souls. Maybe certain abilities would sacrifice a chunk of your souls, so you could purposefully drop down in soul count.
It'd definitely be a complex and interesting mechanic.
Purple random hero guy/gal. Is all categories of hero and specializes based on talent selections. Trait rerolls their basic abilities and selects them from other heros' abilities based on how they're being built. Talent tree rearranges the choices based on the selection from the previous tier.
I personally would like more starcraft heros.
Maybe a Xel Naga like Amon?
I also think a scv could maybe work. Its ult could be to repair a tower or maybe build a bunker for the team. I think it has potential to be a cool support character and they need more support options.
For a while I thought we might get Mengsk as a hero that spends all his time in orbit, affecting the board in various ways.
I did always think it would be a fun idea to have a Cerebrate hero, allowing the team to queue up as a Zerg swarm and pick talents that affect each other, scaling with how many members of the team opt-ed in. Kind of like a Cho'gall, but for 1 to 5 players.
I really like that Mengsk idea. You could make his avatar a battlecruiser that could be targeted by the opposing team. Id assume there needs to be a way to KO Mengsk so having him untargetable in orbit all game seems problematic.
I think they have a little too much of that already. Probius builds pylons and defenses, amargue and Zapata spawn a bunch of zerg to attack enemies, and blaze has a bunker ability already.
I like the idea of a hero interacting with structures but j think it would be avoided at all cost’s because IT would prolong the game and people hated when hours games were 30-40 minutes instead of 15-30 minutes
Theres only like 4 support heros, how is that too much? Id just like some more variety at support.
I do agree with your points about the scv prolonging the game. Maybe you could have it build temporary command centers with turrets instead of repair?
I think Garona is the only major Warcraft lore character (besides the horde leaders and Grom Hellscream) that isn't in HotS. Although I wouldn't know how to make her distinct enough from Valeera to warrant an entirely new stealth character.
I would love to see a tank or bruiser based on the pit lord demon from Warcraft. Either Magtheridon or Mannoroth.
The niche that isn't used yet is a stealth hero who is not dps; a cloaked bruiser or tank. Since a half orc is normally sturdier than an elf, that would make sense in comparison to Valeera.
Harth, the Hearthstone Tavern Keeper (or Bob) and they play as a summoner. As much as I love true stance-changers in MOBAs, and HotS lacking one still feels bad, I think the flavor of including an original character from Hearthstone is too big of a chance to miss
Any overwatch character. God, the amount I want this game to get supported again is absurd. To this day is the only video game that I watched tournaments of.
It literally doesn't matter if the hero has the best design in the entirety of time and space, if it's an original character everyone will feel the missed opportunity of getting their favourite hero in the game, me included. I don't even think it was ever a good idea to put original characters in this game, blizzard has enough ips so they can make pretty much every character they want, they can even add them to their original ip after they get into hots, so it's really just a lack of imagination to create original heroes imo.
Arcturus Mengsk. I'd want him to play like Abathur, in that he doesn't directly attack his enemies, he manipulates the battlefield through propaganda, coercion and subterfuge.
I've always found it odd that Lady Vashj is missing. However if it would be their last hero added... It would be pretty interesting if they added a hero from the new secret IP they are working on. Introducing a character from a game that nobody has played yet.
The Overlord. Slow, flying, mostly buffs and CCs for the team, can transport team inside, detect invis. Would be cool and yet another different play style.
I always wanted Blackthorne to be in the game.
When they put in the Vikings, I thought he was coming for sure. But, nope.
I'd like Yogg Saron to be a double body hero. Remember how in the raid fight, tentacles come out and act like separate monsters from the main body.
Suppose that Yogg Saron has a body that's covered with mouths and as big as a keep. It can only be moved by a slow animation on a long cooldown. And that unit doesn't count as a hero body (or else Orphea would kill it with 1 button).
Additionally, the Yogg Saron player can push D to send out a Corrupting Tentacle, which moves as a normal hero unit leashed to a large radius from the body. Abilities and attacks can be cast from both the body and the tentacle.
As for a "madness" effect, the easy way to balance that is to limit the ability to only work on heroes that are low health and about to die. That way, the ability doesn't take away control from a player- the enemy player immediately goes to the respawn counter, and a clone of his hero is created for Yogg Saron.
Allegedly, Selendis was the last hero they were working on before they stopped developing the game. Would love to have seen her to make it to the game!
He'd be too much like stitches, but I always wanted to see a Roadhog. That ult would be crazy on objectives. His second ult can be a shotgun blast that does more damage the lower the enemy's health - idk seems cool
I'd rather they remove characters that didn't exist in Bliz IPs prior to HotS and if necessary give their kits to legendary memes like Leroy Jenkins. Then it'd be a perfect game full of unreasonably toxic people and a bunch of warm nostalgia.
I used to think it'd be funny to have an april foolsish nexus hero that is just the "random hero" silhouette and then we started getting actual nexus heroes with no ties to games...
/s Judging by all of these great answers, this game is dead and there truly is no potential for development I see.
I'll never forgive Activision for what they did to this game.
Archimonde
Baal
It would have to be a troll. They would just have to do it. Last hero to be added ever, never another change to the game. "Wow, I'm so excited to log in after the patch and buy Baal. Holy shit he looks cool, loading into game now!" Gets into game: "LOOKING FOR BAAL?" Spawns as Duriel.
Definitely, just so weird with only 2 of the 3 prime evils in the game.
diablo is my least favorite blizz franchise and even I have to admit this is the only right answer
I would wish for the last hero to be a programmer whose heroic makes new heroes.
This would violate Microsoft’s “Wish for Infinite Wishes” Clause
A pit lord like Mannaroth
Or a Naga siren or a huntress like a more sustainable Maiev and a Gyrocopter Warcraft created them and HOTS is the only Game without a Gyrocopter
Lady Vashj? Edit: a Gyrocopter skin for fal would be sick
Gyrocopter is in warhammer.
[удалено]
Tell me you never played wc3 without telling me you never played wc3.
azmodan is not a pit lord
I think it would be more like a warrior/tank melee azmodan
I want Lady Vashj so bad
Yeah but which hero do you want added to Heroes of the Storm?
Nice
Ok no not like that c'mon
Admit it, you like fish sticks.
Ill admit, she can stick her fish stick into me and I wont be mad
Itherael. Full Angiris Council. Otherwise Baal.
I would want Itherael only because you could make a full angel team. Otherwise Therazane :D
I was typing out a whole abilities description and realized I was combining Therazane and Princess Theadras.
Arcturus Mengsk would be awesome
I was always hoping we would get Mengsk as another weird "no direct combat" hero like Aba. Alas.
Just flinging conscripts at people. Hilarious
There was a great concept floating around years ago where he would have summons to help push lanes or assign to allies as bodyguards, and could set up "Propaganda Towers" that buffed allies in a big radius but could be destroyed by the enemy team. Leeroy Jenkins!
oh yes
I think there are several great options. Leeroy would be a fun nod to days gone by. Blizzard All-Stars indeed. While we are at it, get me a Minus 50 DKP guy announcer pack. “Oh good, you killed the whelp!” “You killed a fort. We still need more dots.”
I always wanted a Cho'gall announcer that gets in long-winded arguments with itself, to the point where it stops commenting on the game at all and it's just Cho and Gall yelling at each other.
I’d laugh at that I’m sure.
I don't know man, I'm pretty sure he's already in the game. Based off of how my allies in my last ARAM game were playing, I think they all picked him.
Baal. It used to be meme that next hero is totally Baal
Baal or Belial. As a reference to our beloved NotBelial and all the good times this game’s community had.
Rakanishu Or Bishbosh
One of the old gods, that would be fun
C’thun pls
True core replacement hero
Bwonsamdi for sure.
Yeah we need witch doctor representation because they rolled them into shaman in WoW, plus there’s only one troll hero in HotS as is.
Isn’t Nazeebo a witch doctor?
Nazeebo is a Diablo witch doctor, they're referring to Warcraft witch doctors.
Came here for this
Hemet Nesingwary
Bob the bartender from hearthstone
Why?
I think he could have some really whimsical abilities to represent the nature of hearthstone itself, would be fun
Mankrik. Ult is he summons his dead wife back for a limited time
Gabriel Tosh
Izual so you can finally have an all angel team
You can use Angelic Valla! 🤷
Make a hero who, every time they get a kill, their damage squares and their health square roots, and vice versa (every time they die, their damage square roots and their health squares).

Overmind
Black Thorn
Had to scroll way way down for this one.. a guy with a motorcycle.. a shotgun.. a cigar..
Ashzara
Alexandros Mograine
Baal. No question. Finish off the prime evils. Lilith would be a cool second in line with D4 release.
Rafaam the Supreme, from Hearthstone. An ethereal who can steal an abilities from an enemy hero. A bit meta for the last one.
Purple random hero guy/gal. Is all categories of hero and specializes based on talent selections. Trait rerolls their basic abilities and selects them from other heros' abilities based on how they're being built. Talent tree rearranges the choices based on the selection from the previous tier.
Been saying this for awhile. Omg yes please.
Lilith from Diablo IV! \o/
Either one of the Shadow Priest NPCs or an Arc mage (Khadgar)
Shadow priest void abilities could be really cool.
Rock and Roll Racing. It’s the only “blizzard” game not repped.
The overmind, Shape shifter druid or Khadgar as invoker like from dota 2
An old god
Original hots lore character. Because we all love them.
Crash Bandicoot
Reinhardt!
A lot of overwatch heroes would have been great hots heroes. Rein would have been very interesting!
Metroid "NotInHis" Prime
Fricking Andariel of course
The one and only, the mighty MILHOUSE MANASTORM
It would be super difficult to balance Milhouse, who is famous for providing a buff to enemy players.
A Nexus original hero for the sole reason it would make almost everyone mad, including me!
I personally would like more starcraft heros. Maybe a Xel Naga like Amon? I also think a scv could maybe work. Its ult could be to repair a tower or maybe build a bunker for the team. I think it has potential to be a cool support character and they need more support options.

Raven lord
I agree.
Baal as a support hero.

Duriel could be cool, if they give him some more abilities ofc lol
Magtheridon
Add a Hero developer please
Reading all the comments makes me realize how there are still so many great heroes left :(
Feral druid
They already said that and we voted Hogger 😂
Harth, the Hearthstone Tavern Keeper (or Bob) and they play as a summoner. As much as I love true stance-changers in MOBAs, and HotS lacking one still feels bad, I think the flavor of including an original character from Hearthstone is too big of a chance to miss
Overmind hero to round out a all Zerg team. Both other StarCraft races have 5 heroes
We already have 5 Zerg: Abathur, Zagara, Dehaka, Kerrigan, and Stukov
The zerg leviathan as a support hero
Any overwatch character. God, the amount I want this game to get supported again is absurd. To this day is the only video game that I watched tournaments of.
the only hero that could be justified is the new character from the diablo 4 cutscene (lilith). a cross-promotion/tie-in can justify the budget.
The overmind
Master chief
I’d want another original character. Orphea is my favourite character across all games I’ve ever played
I’m honestly blown away the back lash against orphea was so intense. I thought she was incredible
It literally doesn't matter if the hero has the best design in the entirety of time and space, if it's an original character everyone will feel the missed opportunity of getting their favourite hero in the game, me included. I would like to see them make another unique hero whose lore only exists in HOTS, like Qhira. A character who’s fate lives or dies with the game.
A very large murky
Winston
Tirion Fordring
Shang tsung
Samsung
Sauron
Garithos.
Arcturus Mengsk. I'd want him to play like Abathur, in that he doesn't directly attack his enemies, he manipulates the battlefield through propaganda, coercion and subterfuge.
Zoltan Kulle
Blood queen Lana'thel
Malygos. Another big dragon
Ysera
Overmind with RTS ;-;
Mengsk But there are like ten others I want.
Saurfang
Vol'Jin. Maybe as a healer
I've always found it odd that Lady Vashj is missing. However if it would be their last hero added... It would be pretty interesting if they added a hero from the new secret IP they are working on. Introducing a character from a game that nobody has played yet.
Sire Denathrius. He may not be important. He may not offer anything super unique kitwise, but I just want more of his voice actor hamming it up.
Bobby Kotick. I want to beat the fuck out of him forever.
Samir Duran! Would be cool to have a shapeshifting hero that could take multiple forms -- Ghost, infested Terran, Xel'Naga.
Good ole Overwatch Cowboy
Arcturus Mengsk
Rock and roll racer.
A healer from the Nexus
Another tank or healer. Don't care who.
Mercy from Overwatch.
The Overlord. Slow, flying, mostly buffs and CCs for the team, can transport team inside, detect invis. Would be cool and yet another different play style.
Hunter Killer from SC1
I always wanted Blackthorne to be in the game. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackthorne](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackthorne) When they put in the Vikings, I thought he was coming for sure. But, nope.
Shapeshifter --- any character (friend, foe) that you kill, you can assume being them.
I don't care that they said his kit would be too oppressive, I want Reinhardt!
Snake Sanders! Complete with the legendary announcer Loudmouth Larry!
Wrathion
Broxigar the red
More overwatch heroes so I'm not limited to one of three options when the challenge pulls up
Terokk riding on a raptor.
Overmond. Get weird with it again! Chogall and Aba are the coolest heroes
Another Diablo character (demon, angel, whatever) or Starcraft. Maybe Vorazun or Mengsk.
Microsoft’s Clippy
Yogg Saron, similar to abathur gameplay inflicting madness on enemies, making them turning against their allies. Not easy to balance tho
An ult where all enemy heroes’ abilities have friendly fire for 4 seconds would be hilarious.
Lady vashj or I'll take queen azshara
Winston Overwatch
Another Nexus Original hero.
The monkey from overwatch
Baal, Talandar, Mengsk, Tyrion Fordring, an arcane mage from WoW. Any of these would be some I’d like but Mengsk is my call for the 1
The guy that called out diablo immortal as an April fools joke
Shadowlands was by all means a bad expansion but please give me Sire Denathrius
But we have Malganis? (just joking)
Hogger... LOL.
But he is already in the game :/
Sombra. She feels like a final hero type of material.
Abathur, a second time.
Allegedly, Selendis was the last hero they were working on before they stopped developing the game. Would love to have seen her to make it to the game!
I want a char that burns mana out of the enemy. Like life drain of guldan but for mana.
Baal
Red shirt guy(s)
He'd be too much like stitches, but I always wanted to see a Roadhog. That ult would be crazy on objectives. His second ult can be a shotgun blast that does more damage the lower the enemy's health - idk seems cool
Arthas rework
Chris Metzen
I'd rather they remove characters that didn't exist in Bliz IPs prior to HotS and if necessary give their kits to legendary memes like Leroy Jenkins. Orisa
Jesus Christ himself
Weird Al Yankovic
Your mom.
A real hero would be a functioning report system!
Saidan Dathroan with his R becoming Balnazaar
Kyle mothAFUCKIN' VLAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS! BLACKTHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORNE!!!!
Mengsk or Archimonde
Sargeras
I'd love to have a StarCraft Stargate unit as a hero, but they were probably never adding that so Overmind or Baal.
Belial
Chris Metzen. Rendered like classic Mortal Kombat. And he has no powers. It’s literally just Chris Metzen.
Overmind, or some otger core replacer hero. Abathur but More^^TM
/s Judging by all of these great answers, this game is dead and there truly is no potential for development I see. I'll never forgive Activision for what they did to this game.
