That's racist!
Now that that's out of the way (stupidly), yeah, that's what I hear. I was tracking a couple of MIJ Strats in the early spring because everything I read about the particular years of production suggested that they were on par with MIAs in everything but price.
I walked into 30th Street Guitars and pulled 6 used guitars into their quiet room. 5 MIA's and this one MIJ. At first I didn't think would work because the MIA's were all around 1000 and the MIJ was 750. I played each one but the MIJ stood out because it sounded balanced, each string seemed to stand on its own as opposed to blending all together. It also had a bit crispiness to it, still not sure. Neck was super straight and the intonation was very good. The neck also felt very comfortable, easy to play. Ive been playing it constantly for about 9 months and havent done one thing to it. Love it
That's cool! I had a guitar come in from Japan and it was a mess 😭 Customs in Chicago for three days. They charged my 150.00 to search it, lol 🤬
My Strat is exactly like that, 'cept for 2 factory humbuckers 🤟🏼😎 Blue Strats rock!
Original 60s MIA? Yeh little different. The MIA 60s are more expensive by about $1000. They also have a nitro finish and the body is probably a different timbre. This one in basswood. The MIAs tend to not have very nice rosewood though. I got the jap cause of the price difference and the rosewood and it plays and sounds great.
This is fender, made in Japan, 2020 collection traditional 60s Strat. This colour and a couple of others are now discontinued
Strange how the MIM is more expensive than the MIJ - I’ve always heard and read that the MIJs guitars were always finely made, more so than their other lines. Maybe it’s only 1000 more expensive cause if the nitro lol
nice looking guitar. i bought a used 90's MIJ this year. i like it better than my previous, 2001 MIA
I've heard it said that depending on the year, MIJs can rival or even surpass MIAs. What do you like better about the MIJ?
The Japanese just have an attention to detail that most other countries don't. And they're very very consistent

That was a compliment tho. How is that racist?
It was a joke making fun of how overused and meaningless the concept of racism is.
😅 ok thank god
Yeah, man. No worries. For what it's worth, I agree with your take 100%. If that's racist, then we can go down in bigoted flames together.
🤣 I'm down for that
Germans also have the same attention to detail. It’s just cultural, not necessarily racist. Both coincidentally were Axis countries in WWII
Nice, what do you like better about it?

Glad to hear it. It's sometimes the most subtle things that attract us to a particular instrument.
good point
That’s great to hear. I’m watching one on Reverb in this exact finish.
holy cow, i see some of these going for $1100-1200, i had no idea. good luck man, hope you get it.
That’s definitely where the seem to be trending. We shall see.
Beautiful
Did you get this off of Reverb around February-March? I was looking at one just like this during that time.
No, one came into my local store l. Must have been on backorder from when they were available
Well, she's a beaut. You, sir, have excellent taste.

That's sucks man IV heard customs have destroyed guitars entering Australia cause of certain woods used 🤷♂️ love a blue Strat

Unfortunately not it's a U shape neck so still nice and fat. But a V would be great. Not hard to change on it tho
Very nice!
I have a 2018 just like that just in Olympic White
Nice! Love Olympic White
Gorgeous. Sonic blue is my favorite fender finish
It's one of the best. It was either this or shell pink
Beautiful! Is this any different from the original 60s series? If so, what’s the exact series name?

Yeh the nitro has something to do with it. Would be a combination of a lot of things
That the lovely feeling one from sky music?

Oh awesome. I worked in Newcastle around 15 years back and fucken loved that store.
