Woah! Never seen one of those! Looks like the most elegant metal machine. Beautiful guitar!

Meetmeatthespot

Fernandes Ravelle and Schecter Gates had a baby and named it Ibanez

XxLockdownZxX

Name of the guitar: Ibanez XH300. Also known as the Ibanez Halberd. And yes I'm aware the high strings aren't attached the right way. Bought some new strings so I'm about to restring them soon.

errbud1

Woah... that's hot. Also what amp is that?

Amp_Fire_Studios

Looks like a Marshall Valvestate 8080

XxLockdownZxX

That's correct, it's a Valvestate 8080!

errbud1

Yall recommend this bad boy? Sorry to ask so many questions. New to guitar. I take it you play metal and i like metal.

zombie_platypus

I had a Valvestate 150H and loved it. Cranked out some great classic drive a la AC/DC and Metallica, depending on the EQ. Only got rid of it due to it being an absolute beast (size/weight).

XxLockdownZxX

I've only used 1 other amp than this one and that was a pretty crappy one that only costed 30 euros or so, so I can't compare it to other Marshalls or amps. I'm still really happy with my Valvestate though! Been using it for 2 years now. I won't deny that there's better amps than this one (that are probably around the same price or a little more expensive) but you get a solid amp with some top notch sound with the 8080. And yes I play metal mostly. Metallica, Rammstein, Iron Maiden and ACDC (not metal I know) are the bands I play most of and it's a good amp for that!

errbud1

Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. Still on my journey for finding my sound and don't know much about amps. I have a Peavey and I like it!

brosefstallin

You need to give all of your strings about 2 or 3 winds around the tuning pegs.

XxLockdownZxX

Yeah I know. Was my very first time changing strings so I had no idea what I was doing. Looked up a lot of videos and managed to get them on. Just not the 'correct' way unfortunately. Ordered a new set so I'm going to change them soon and do it the right way!

machine3lf

Wow. That's beautiful.

Who_am_I_07

She sure is a pretty thing

thenerj47

This thing is so cool I could cry

SpartansDen

Man, that is beautiful. I have a 23 year old S series in a deep blue finish and love it.

GonzoLoop

Sexy, nicwe

TheMartini66

It is a beautiful guitar. Is it comfortable to hold it and play it?

XxLockdownZxX

I also have an Ibanez RG (seen on the side on some pictures) and this one's quite a bit heavier compared to that one. Nevertheless it's quite comfortable to play in my opinion and I prefer this one over my RG when I play rythm parts in songs (instead of faster solo sections). It has active pickups so it sounds much crunchier than my RG with passive pickups. Ideal for rock and metal music I'd say!

PeteEckhart

I was about to ask if that one on the wall was an Ibanez or a Schecter. It's beautiful. Obviously so is the one in your OP. You have great taste, and I assume you play more towards the metal genres?

XxLockdownZxX

Yeah the one on the wall is an Ibanez RG421PB-CHF And yes I play mostly metal. Metallica, Rammstein, Iron Maiden and Megadeth are my main bands but I'm slowly expanding to some other stuff as well (really like Helloween but it's quite different to play than the rest imo)

Phuqitol

Are those pups actives? I’m guessing they’re Ibanez stock

XxLockdownZxX

Yes they're active pickups. And yeah they're stock. Haven't changed/ modified a thing about it (yet).

Phuqitol

Hey, if they sound decent, no need to pump more money into it. Frankly, this thing’s sick as is. Not usually a fan of flamboyant body styles, but this one works. Real smooth beveling, looks super comfy.

XxLockdownZxX

They sound really good to me! I also have an Ibanez RG (seen on the side on some pictures) and this one's quite a bit heavier compared to that one. Nevertheless it's quite comfortable to play in my opinion and I prefer this one over my RG when I play rythm parts in songs (instead of faster solo sections).
