Just finished reading this book and I gotta say, I really liked it. I’ve have this since a year and a half ago and kept putting off. Have you had that feeling of “why did I wait so long to get into this”? Excited for the rest

The show coming out is the reason I finally picked it up. Despite popularity, I was not a fan of TWD so I put this off since Kirkman wrote this as well. I asked my friend, who says he was a fan of this since it started, why he let me go this long without reading it. I’m currently on the Ultimate Vol. 4

Fleabag123

It's consistently good throughout. I recommend reading every issue to the end.

Inkontrol808

Really good. I got the first 3 Ultimate Collections and now I can't find reasonable priced 4 and up collections...

Youngbrad9

Yea due to this exact reason I just ordered the 3 compendiums off Amazon 1&3 arrive in like 2,3 weeks but 2 just says order received it’s literally out of stock everywhere lol

ASAP_RoCo

If you don’t mind ordering from Amazon give their website a quick search, I think they have most of the ultimate collections.

Enjoy the ride!

I felt the same way about The Sandman. I owned the box set for like 6 months and read the first few pages and was overwhelmed by the amount of prose and art. Once I really got into the first volume, I became obsessed with it. I read it for the first time last summer and I’ve already reread it once since then.

Zster22

I’m a huge fan of the show but I’m having a hard to getting through compendium volume 1. The dialogue is SO CHEESY. Anyone else feel the same way?

ComicsNBigBooks

As much as I love it, there are a few moments of cringe-y dialogue, I agree. However, it was mostly with the high school-age characters, and high schoolers are pretty cringe-y. Some of the lingo is a bit outdated since the comic is older, so naturally some of those things were changed for the show.

NaGovPH

I too am a huge fan, and I will definitely keep buying and reading til the end, but I gotta agree that sometimes i just can’t shake the feeling that the dialogue was written by a total square.

ComicsNBigBooks

Awesome! The best part about being late to something is getting to experience it for the first time. I've read the first of the paperback compendiums, and will read the next two sometime soon.

This looks like a LCS shelfie for upvotes....

Possibly my favorite comic series. You’ll enjoy it !

bmeireles85

I gotta say the truth. I always thought the thing was kind of "lame" (trouble finding the right word in English). But I saw the trailer in Amazon Prime and I got myself interest in the comics. I think I'm going to give it an opportunity.

Bizarro-

Did you order it off Amazon?

dboypr

I don’t really remember, it was long ago

My girlfriend and I are keeping up with the show. (Finished Season 1 and it was absolutely amazing.) I have the entire ultimate collection on my bookshelf, but I don't want to spoil anything since I want to share that surprised feeling I get with her while we enjoy the show. A question to anyone who watched the show and has read the collection, can I read ultimate collection 1 fully without spoiling anything? Has it all been discussed yet?
