This is what I did when I started. I’m a year and a half in and shooting 90-94 regularly. I have 4 90’s but have yet to break it :(
Keep at it OP!! Love to see this. That back 9 is nice!
One other thing I did was start focusing on things like: how many shots over regulation it’s taking you to hit greens? how many putts over the allowed 2 per hole? When you barely miss a green and have to chip, are you regularly giving yourself a decent look at making the next putt?
Asking these helped me a lot when I was shooting around 100. I would practice the areas that seemed to be losing me the most strokes until they became one of my stronger areas. Rinse and repeat and you’ll start dropping strokes off from each aspect of the game.

Ahhh that's dope. Sorry about your golf situation. But hey, at least you can play just about all year. I'm in Canada, our courses are frozen for like 6 months lol
Congratz!
Going from 100 to 90 is all about keeping the ball in bounds
90 to 80 is all about dialing in your wedge and short game
80 to 70 is all about dialing in your putting.
Good luck to the rest of your journey!
Curious, how long did it take you to beat your dad? My 12 year old has beaten me on a par 3 course but he played red to my white. He keeps that up and he's moving back 😂
Honestly though it awesome to play with your parents or children. My dad is a bit too old now with too many back problems but I hope to keep it a thing with my son. Even if both of us never get better than terrible, I hope we still play terribly together for a long time.
9 over par on the back 9 is some proper no-nonsense bogey golf. Nice work bud!
I thought the back 9 went really well. Getting more consistent making solid contact.
It’s crazy how much scores drop when you just focus on good contact first and foremost
Came here to say this. That was a legit back 9. Something to be really proud of.
Thank you!
Bogey golf is always the goal. Then start focusing on more pars. You're scores will drop quick.

Now you're thinking 'if I can put up a 45 on the back then I can do it on the front too'
I fail to execute this exact plan on the regular
Great way to start my spring break.
Bogeys get a bad rap, but once you got on that bogey train, you were golden. I love me some bogeys.
Woo hoo! I never have and it’s a goal for me! Nice!!!
Congrats dude!!! Now you have a new goal. Break 90!
Just looking at the holes on the card, I would have thought the lower score would have been on the front! Congrats!
14-18 look brutal from the back tees
Yeah, I'd be hitting driver on a par 3, never a fun thing. Not to mention having to carry water close to greens.
Nice job bud.
Congrats! How long have you been playing for?
Started playing Christmas 2020. Been playing irregularly due to there not being a public course near me at college.
Ooo that sucks. Where ya from?
Northeast Texas. Go to school at Southern Arkansas Univeristy. (Junior engineering major)

Nice work!
Nice work. Goals are important.
All about the progress, congrats dude!
Noice buddy! Congrats
Congratulations
Congrats! Always a great milestone to hit!
Nice job! And good recovery from those triples at the beginning, I might have let those sink me mentally for the rest of the round.
Congrats! Great back nine.
Let’s fucking go! Now break 95. Also, go play Tempest. It’s a quality track in the area.
Congrats bud…glad you’re enjoying the game!
Congrats buddy, the first major milestone done
Congrats!! Im on the same Mission!
Well done. Keep at it.
45 on the back is phenomenal!!
Thank you!
This is my goal before the end of the year. Birdied the 18th last round to score 100 even. Getting so close 🤞🏼
Is it “breaking 100” if the course is 71? Asking as a beginner and guy who shoots 120 lol
I would say yes
At what point is it no? 71 isn’t too different but if you go go a 65 course it’s a big difference
I broke 100 today for the first time as well. I’ve been golfing for about 1 year. Still haven’t had a birdie but Im hoping that comes soon.
Wow the turnaround on the back nine was impressive! Congrats!

Awesome! Before you know it, you’ll be breaking 90!
I see the devil’s #
What tee box are you playing?
Green
Right on! Good shooting. Keep having fun as you progress!

This is the first time I've ever beaten him. I started getting back into golf in late 2020.
My dad beat me by a stroke today but every single round comes down to the 18th green. Love playing with the pops.
David needs to pick it up.
That's my dad. Beat him for the very first time yesterday.
Been playing golf with my dad for 20 years now, he will be 80 this year. Enjoy it my dude, keep at it.
Great work mate! That’s awesome
I guess you gotta go buy a putter or something now huh? Congrats dude!
I'm looking at getting a new putter. I just need some more cash. Hopefully I can get it with my next student worker check.
