no, it's "Der Plan". articles are weird in German.
while "Der, Die, Das" are based on masculine, feminine, and neutral, they aren't always used that way, especially for objects.
for example, you have "*Das Messer*" (the knife), "*Die Gabel*" (the fork), and "*Der Löffel*" (the spoon). there is no real regularity for gender and article use, it's just something you have to learn for every noun individually.
It's so dumb when I think about it now, it's my mother tongue so I grew up with it buts it's literally hundreds of words and they all somehow have der/die/das completely randomly divided among them and it sounds completely wrong if you use the wrong one but I couldn't logically explain why it would be wrong other than it was just decided at some point which word gets which of the three.
It gets especially fun (even as a 'german native') when you get to regional things and not-historically-settled things :D
I just love how down in Austria it's 'Das Cola', not 'Die Cola' and how apparently there's some ambiguity about Das/Die Nutella even in Germany.
Articles are fucked. The answer for 'why' is almost always 'because that is how it is' :D
cringe + Schumacher and Latifi didn't plan to crash. It was just a racing incident, just unfortunate it happened to happen just before the end of the race.
Also mick didn’t cause the crash. Latifi went off track after the contact and was behind and pushing to get ahead before losing the backend and binning it into the wall.
Sure, but if Lewis had pitted and we still had one lap shootout, he would had won it, regardless of if Verstappen had pitted or not. But obviously this type of thinking in hindsight is weak, as Mercedes had no idea that Perez would retire so their strategic call at that point of time was reasonable.
In the end what happened did happen. No need for what ifs. I can see why people are "mad" for Latifi, but he obviously didn't mean to "ruin" the race for Hamilton nor did he plan to crash in the first place. Verstappen got lucky and took an advantage of Mercedes' strategy call. He deserved to win out there, even if race director's actions during the safety car were bullshit.
Why would I? I can't call out cringe behavior on F1 fandom? It's been this same thing whole season where people are calling out Lewis for everything and that x driver will stop him from winning 8th title.
But it is unfunny one at that. And considering that people on this sub have primarily posted anti-Hamilton memes for past 2 weeks, I don't think they are just memes.
I thought its funny. But ye, most people here are verstappen fans so most jokes go "against" Mercedes and Lewis. Just go and make memes about red bull to balance a bit ;)
Just because it is a joke doesn't automatically mean I'm not allowed to criticize it. Especially if the joke in question is unfunny. I feel like these types of memes are just very disrespectful towards the drivers. And also distasteful as well.
You do realize that this sub has the word „dank“ in it. Per definition dank memes are memes which are overused to the point where they become ironic. These jokes are not meant to be high quality. And if something as harmless as this already gets you offended you should consider avoiding this sub.

no, "der" is correct in German.
You could say “das ist ein Plan” or “das war der Plan” but it’s “Der Plan”.
Wouldn't it be das plan?

This is one of things that made me hate germam grammar. Loved learning the language, except the grammar parts.
No das was banned after last year

Exactly. And even then, while Latifi is to blame for the crash, he isn't to blame on why Hamilton lost his title.
Well - if he hadn’t crashed Hamilton would 100% have won the race.

I agree, but sir, this is r/formuladank
You know what’s cringe? Taking a meme so literal you have to post a comment debunking it.
Leave formuladank

It's just a meme bro, nothing here should be taken serious...

Ofc you can call out cringe, if you think it is… But why do you try to explain the situation when it‘s obviously a joke.
