Well thanks for jinxing it, Charles.

legionbeast33

Poor Chuck and his awful luck

YeahPerfectSayHi

No good luck since he was called Chuck....hmmm

rdub360

That’s true…

Aratho

Hopefully the chassis will feel good this time

JebediahKerman3999

No luck Chuck

lis_roun

it's not luck, it's Ferrari thowing

242turbo

I don't get it, is an engine failure not unlucky for a driver?

lis_roun

It was an error from the team. We could say with that logic that anyone who didn't have the best car is unlucky.

242turbo

Yes but that's not how we perceive luck as the F1 fanbase. I'm sure you're well aware that when we refer to luck we're talking about engine failures, bad strategy timing, punctures, collisions which weren't their fault, etc.

lis_roun

but that's not really luck. Punctures and factors like somebody else crashing into you are luck, i.e you cant control these factors neither can your team. Engine failures sure since they can't be controlled by the driver, but they can be controlled by the team and F1 is a team sport. By this logic Charles is very lucky that he is in a car that can contest the championship, unlike say a McLaren. Strategy, especially Monaco wasn't luck at all. He could have made the call like Carlos.

242turbo

I repeated my argument because it was clear you hadn't taken mine into account. I've acknowledged your point but have argued with it. You've just kept on saying the same thing without responding to my actual point. I'm saying that the F1 fanbase treats luck differently to you. No matter whether it is or isn't luck, our preconceived construct of luck doesn't align with what you're saying.

legionbeast33

And crappy pit stops, basically anything the driver has no control over.

Jlindahl93

Man said the quiet part out loud. Double DNF for Ferrari incoming.

CilanEAmber

He did exceptional last year, hope he can go one better now he has a car capable

SpectacularNelson

Yeah Monaco & Baku 21 was pretty special

Ax1leFan

He’s talking about Silverstone 2021

SpectacularNelson

True Leclerc was rapid on the mediums in 21 Silverstone but Lewis went ham on the hards.

kai325d

And Leclerc had engine trouble

Ashbones15

Yeah that plus the fact he was driving the best car on the grid and should have always been considerably faster than Leclerc. Leclerc was just on another level that day

Dickfingerz56

And people still think hami is better than max and Charles 😭😭

tkmj75

Did you miss an /s?

Schlonggandalf

The guy winning championship after championship was slower for a part of one race and people STILL think he is better, isn’t that scandalous.

SpectacularNelson

Leclerc in 2022 reminds me of Lewis Hamilton in 2012 amazing in qualifying but having bad fortune suffering from reliability & pitwall errors.

Claudiu99

Leclerc to Mercedes next year confirmed(in the place of another retiring 7 time world champion)

GoldenSandpaper9

Aw fuck

Toadterror

*Aw fuck yeah! Can you imagine?

racingfanboy160

Now that I think about it...I hate that your right honestly 😭

Mick4Audi

Hamilton in 2012 is the win-DNF paradox, it’s more like Max’s start to the season

1pcguy

Is there any gravel trap for sainz to park his ferrari?

legionbeast33

Savage

Ax1leFan

Leclerc has been exceptional here in the last 2 years, I think he might win this

Hariys

I enjoyed his 2019 drive as well as he fought with Max.

-NESQUICK-

And he was running best of the rest in the Alfa in 2018 until the team fucked his pit stop. Leclerc is mighty around Silverstone.

242turbo

Hulkenberg was ahead of him when he retired but it was clear on strategy and pace Leclerc would have got him.

SandwichLess6154

Nope, Best we can offer is Pole position Charles.

Mick4Audi

Hope he wins man, it’s been 2 months since a Ferrari was on top

RentBoy-Kef

Honestly same, I’m excited for FP1 soon enough. I know redbull is going to be on our asses… I sense Mercedes might have a feather in their cap too. Need sainz to be almost perfect as well.

legionbeast33

I'm a RB fan and of course I want for either Max or Checo to win, but what I want the most is for the races to be exciting, so, I really hope for Ferrari to get their sнiт together and bring on the fight to Red Bull.

Hack874

Pole ——->P2/DNF

KnightsOfCidona

If the car doesn't break, he's my favourite this weekend. Car suits the track and traditionally he's done very well here over the years, either in F1 or Feeder Series.

racingfanboy160

Goddamit, no more jinxing pls ISTG 😭

MustardGorilla

I forgot that Leclerc is racing this weekend - hasn't been involved in any of the drama so everyone seems to have left him alone.

iSimp4Aerith

keeping my fingers crossed. this is one of his better circuits so he might just pull off something special this weekend

TrekNerd001

If Ferrari keeps being Ferrari, sadly, my dear Charlie, it won't. (The Grande Strategia from the Pit Wall + the engine and hydraulics.)

Poke-hey-mon

Everyone please give this lovely man an internet hug, because he aint getting what he wants

bellestarflower

Rooting for him to win this weekend.

Joseph4820

I think almost everyone is hoping this Chuck

CanisLupus92

Championships are lost by having bad weekends, and won by how you deal with those bad weekends. So far, Max/RB seem to deal better with having a bad one than Charles/Ferrari.

aiicaramba

In what way could Leclerc have dealt with these bad weekends better? Only Imola he couldve been more patient. But other than that?

CanisLupus92

Charles only really Imola and he locked up quite a bit in Baku before the retirement. Ferrari really needs to step up on the strategy side.

Galopoulamemanestra

Me too.

Jokobib

How was that a clean weekend? He locked up in the race..

Voshin

One would think he is referring to things outside of his control since that is what has plagued him ever since Miami..

racingfanboy160

I think this can be shown by the fact he hasn't been on the podium since that race and we all know why he hadn't...

differentlevel1

Leclerc and Ferrari need to raise up their game, because it's getting way too easy for Max.

tequilamigo

Haha, ‘no way’

Jasonmancer

Since Miami? I'd say since Aussie Charles.

CashphobicAccountant

And they’ve touched Martin, this is fantastic!!!

i_am_the_punisher

Ferrari: That's gonna be a NO from us fam
