The ferrari engine is VERY strong this year, all ferrari customer teams are on another level, while all merc teams are eating ass at the moment

Tbf to merc all the other teams seems to have not engine related issues. AM’s car looks unstable during sweeping turns, the mclaren understeers and Williams looks like it went the opposite of last year running low drag and consequently have no downforce.

Doesn't matter how fast your car can go if it keeps flying off the track.

I'm really disappointed with William's. I really thought they'd be stepping up to the plate again like haas with their new owners and stuff. But sadly, still shit.

Haas on top of having large amounts of development time and some newfound wealth from their former sponsors, got a number of ferrari staff after the new budget rules (ferrari sent their staff to haas because they had to reduce staff count anyways). Williams while they did find some more money is still mostly their original staff at the upper level (and below the team boss level) afaik.

Haas played a blinder this year. They spent all of Uralkali's money last year on developing this year's car, so both Mazepins got royally fucked. I can't say I feel sorry for them.

The deal was always MAZ having a seat in exchange for Haas getting a healthy development budget. I wouldn't feel too bad even if the war hadn't happened, that's life.

Yeah same. Haas has had some success in the past in qualifying, putting together impressive single laps but there have always been endurance issues and I hope that’s not the case for this car

Bottas did get recognised for his talents, he wasn't in at the best team in F1 for 4 years because he looks good in a sauna. He's rapid in qualifying and always has been. We still have to see how he gets on tomorrow but it would be great to see him beat a Merc in the race.
