From a non-mechanic that only knows the very basics about a car..
The road car clutch looks like an ancient alien device, the f1 clutch looks like an ancient Aztec disc or something.
That is all.
Wish I had the link. A few years ago a guy on bmw forum received an F1 clutch by mistake via amazon delivery. Amazon never realized the mistake and he went on the forums to find out what had been delivered.

Yeah I think this is an older clutch. His company owns some older F1 cars
He also says that the F1 clutch is more than 20 times as expensive as the Defender clutch, which he later prices at £500, so his numbers don't add up.
What would be the smallest individual part that would get its own budget to be managed?
Why is there a "clutch budget"? and why would multiple teams go to you for that?
I mean a standard clutch is meant to handle aggressive shifters and slow traffic conditions. An F1 clutch is engineering marvel. Makes sense.
That was very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
