Niki is who kept Mercedes honest all those years. He got Hamilton to sign with Mercedes to create arguably the best driver/car lineup we've seen. He had lunch with Helmut Marko on race weekends where they spoke about the friction between those teams. He never refrained from complimenting drivers outside Mercedes. He was a saint for the sport and the memories of him should always be treasured.
Its never been the same since 2019, Toto must really miss Niki always standing next to him through the highs and through the lows. Wolff sitting alone in the garage hits differently...
I remember when Will Buxton was questioning on DTS how Niki’s passing would impact Mercedes and rolled my eyes because 2020 was one of the most dominant seasons the team’s ever had.
Fast forward to today, it seems like Toto has struggled a little without having Niki as his sounding board the last few years.
He keeps his emotional support reserved with him now, first Nyck then his little German friend Mick.
The worst thing about being friends with older people is they leave you behind
The massive contrast of Niki being around so much positives with the team at the end of his life and unfortunately Sir Frank Williams seeing the team struggling at the end of his life. They were both legends in their own right. And RIP to both and also many greats the F1 community has lost

I love rewatching old race highlights and seeing Niki sitting beside Toto. It's really beautiful to me that he stayed so involved.

This, all of the skill and none of the giant ego that plagues people like Wolff and Horner
Difference is, Lauda had a huge ego - he knew he was good - but he never let it get in the way of his honesty.
Horner and Wolff don't hate each other lol.
No but they both have giant egos that get in the way

Crazy. Its almost like Buxton spends his entire life on the grid and knows a thing or two about Formula 1
Almost like how he’s always objective and doesn’t ever dramatise things on the series?
Almost like the narrative cutaways are majority scripted, a fact Buxton used to regularly come on Reddit to remind people of
He keeps his emotional support reserved with him now, first Nyck then his little German friend Mick. The worst thing about being friends with older people is they leave you behind
Really touching. Niki was a legend.
Not the same team without Niki. Literally. He was the man.
Hard to think of anyone in the sport with the gravitas of Niki.
Wasn't aware George really knew Niki.

Incoming future WDC.
Jokes (and my flair) aside, if Merc can get their car right, I do think George can be a WDC. He's a heck of a driver.
He definitely can. He has all the makings of a WDC. Just needs a car up to scratch so he can take it to RB/Max
I would love to see a red merc
>I would love to see a red merc Lovely.

Missing you Niki.

That’s really cool. I want to see the rest of that wall!
I think it's just their headset charging stations. But the one where Nikis used to hang, they now keep his hat in.
I wonder if they keep the headset Toto broke there. 🤔
Ah okay, that’s pretty cool. It kinda looked like a memorial for previous engineers.
George has the face of an old man without the wrinkles
George looks really old in this picture
He got you today ✌️
I see dead people
What is with George and pictures, he always makes the weirdest poses or faces It makes him look really camp

How does a "woman" look in your opinion then?
