I imagine this is how new players feel.

Yep the other day some level 300+ comped me a shit load of ammo for my railway rifle, the kicker is that I'm level 50 something lmao
Came in real handy when I was room clearing in the burrows. Nothing like mowing down waves of ghouls to the tune of a steam whistle
Some of us still consider 50 a low level because you're just now coming into your own and perfecting your build.
Quality meme. "Afectionado" really sends it over the top.
Broooo honestly I always make that rifle.
It is just such a good thing to use before you get legendaries. Plus you can make a level 1 one!
I literally did this this weekend. I went to 76 when I saw there was a brand new player going through, left him a fuckload of Stims, RadAway, food, water, clothes, and a rifle that was 25 levels higher than him. But hey, fuck it. This community brings out the best in people.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one leaving a starter pack for new players. Plus it proved a good way of unloading weight.
Plot twist: that was just somebody’s new alt from someone with 10 other lvl 500 toons
This is my main fear when dropping goodies to low level players. If they're a secondary character, hopefully they give it to someone who does need it
I crafted myself atom shop clothes as soon as I could to avoid exactly that, although my icon also shows that
Doesn't matter to me tbh. Yeah it's a risk but they're still new.
I saw a new person pop up while I was near the vault. I said hi and he freaked out and ducked behind the balloons.
I did the gift emoji, dropped 1000+ 10mm ammo and stimpaks, a bunch of leftover recipes, and saluted him.
When I started I got my shelter and some rando high level guy came in while I was setting up and just left me a bunch of plans for basic stuff. Really helped spruce the place up. Also left me some stimpacks
Needs a backbreaking amount of stims and ammo clipped in to be fully accurate hehehe
Adopt a Noob Week. For the low price of one Brotherhood recon rifle, you too can help a noob in need.
For shits and giggles I checked the sack in the shopping cart next to the girls outside of the vault and there had to be a dozen rifles in there along with a bunch of other stuff.
Where were the cool players like this when I started 😔
Because we were just starting too!
(dropping their legendaries in the icebox by the golf club at the whitesprings.)
I’ll never forget the over the mic reactions of people finding legendary stashes during the everything’s-a-legendary bug at whitesprings.
One of the good things about Fallout 76 is it's the nicest community I ever seen, barely any toxicity and more friendly people
Lol I made a new character the other day and swapped in my pink asylum uniform and was running down to the wayward from 76 and this level 200 was stalking me and when he finally caught up to me he just turned around 😭
I give new players nukeshine and laugh
I stocked my punch bowl with nuka shine I only have 2 left lol
I noticed a level 2 that was standing outside the vault entrance for hours last night; I wondered if it was somebody’s alt fishing for handouts
I always have a few brotherhood recon rifles of lower levels for new players. Fees good getting the heart when you give it to them
When someone gave me stuff as a noobie I didn’t know how to gesture back to them
I threw a camp together down the hill on the way out of the vault, loaded with free recon guns, studded deep pocket armor, ammo, machetes… people would run up and PUNCH me or shoot at me and then take off, just kept on running down the hill, I don’t think they had any concept of what was going on, like what even is vending and can I chop down all these bushes
when I was level 200 I did the same thing, to a level 5, he took it and thanked me as I helped him here and there. then when I was about to go off, he added me, turned out he had a level 800+ character dropped me explosive fixer and he got off.... Then turned out I was the new player
Had the parts, so I left a trail of 5, each separately packaged with 50 rounds, in a trail from the overseers camp.
I have a pop up camp just south of the Vault. I should probably put it closer to the path so it is visible, but it has all the benches and a stash box. When I see new characters coming out of the vault I pop it up and craft some deep pocketed studded leather armor and a weapon or two for them.
I always feel bad when I make a new character and people drop me loads of things. Then I salute them with that preorder bonus “tricentennial” emote
Have we ever agreed on place to leave gear for new players just coming out?
Everyone says Morgantown station, but I realized the sack next to the girls at the bottom of the stairs out of the vault also has unlimited capacity. The problem is a lot of people take that right toward the liberators and possibly miss it, but I think there’s plenty of containers down there to dump stuff in. Level 1 recon rifles and leather armor are so cheap to make I just spread them everywhere.
yeah I had a new player come into my base last night night, level 4 and looking at everything like i did at my first base a few months back. Well i made them level 5 gear to help them out. loaded out 10mm, rifle, melee, stims and armor.
Brotherhood recon rifle do be a good starting weapon
It’s a shame that by the time you actually get the plans to make it, you are likely too far into the game to actually use it as an effective weapon. It’s kind of ironic that the only real use for a Brotherhood of Steel weapon is as a gift when the Brotherhood is known for hoarding technology to themselves.
That recon rifle really is the best gift a newbie can receive. Especially when we can legendary roll it as an instigating/10/r or something useful after reign
This is the only game were someone said sorry for killing me still think about it to this day
I legit chased someone lvl 16 trying to drop some extra legendaries I had. Dude kept running away, I guess he was scared.
What new players?
I'm a new player. Only level 22, and I'm struggling had my junk destroyed by dying and a server crash before I figured out that I should be putting my junk in my stash box- that one hurt big cause I had saved my junk for levels 1-15 on my person- and I've had other players kill me and steal my junk pile right as I was getting there after I respawned- he literally waited till I was like 20 feet away and I could hear him laughing before he server jumped. RazorHerculies is my gamer tag btw.
I wished something like this happened to me but no ,I bought the game on the free weekend thing ,came out of the shelter and no one was there ,still playing alone up to this day . I'm lvl 14 I think
This is how I feel every time. Just started playing and I've had 2 different people drop me level 50 items and im not even level 20 yet. This community is so giving. One time somebody dropped me like a few hundred purified waters and I gave them some random power armor chassis and pieces I had found shortly before because I wanted to try to help them, maybe. So genuine though, love this game
My level 300+ is more like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/AdviceAnimals/comments/nz9odw/i_miss_this_meme/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Whenever I see a low level I try to drop them a little care package of goods if I can get their attention. (I have no mic)
Stimpacks, radaway, Buffout, psycho, med-x, ect ect.
I'm like the friendly neighborhood drug dealer who gives away his stock for free.
My starter pack for levels 1-19 is 20 stims, 20 radaways, brotherhood recon rifle + ammo, either treasure hunter set or insurgent outfit. Level 20-30 they get a fixer and a bear arm added.
got a bunch of stimpacks and some other supplies from a level 666 player, that was pretty dope of them
I used to give out power armor frames and 2 fusion cores to new players back when I collected them for fun during covid.
I have a shop in the vault area and saw many new players. I built low level cheap weapons and armor for them. When I saw therm on map I tried to give much stuff to them for free as well.
It was quite fun.
Hey! Any new players (around lvl 15) to play together? (BodeQTFode157 @ Xbox)
RazorHerculies is my gamer tag
I'm level 22 and brand new.
My experience was like that but I got a two-shot Gatling plasma and a bloodied explosive fixer
This to true
I have had this happen, but doing it after an event that I mentioned I was running out of ammo lmao
Lol just the other day I dropped like 200 radaways, 50 stims, 65 superstims at the 76 entrance. Thode things pile up when you tend to run daily ops with barly a scratch. And nuke zones, what's the point?
I had a level 570 drop me a full suit of lvl 45 excavator armor. Was a nice day.
Just switched to PC and a guy gave me a ton of stim packs once I was out of the vault. I won’t lie, I pretended I was clueless.
I bought it when it came out, played it for a week, thought it was shit. then finally came back to it last week, lot better then I remember
Its always a nea player unless you get a godroll or a legacy weapon like fr if you aint got those then its just whats the point?
I wish i could do this but sll i can do is punch everything i can see
Ive just started, maybe lvl 17 and i wanna say thank you to all of you who help out us new players. Idk who did it, but i set up my camp at some fossil dig near the "haunted" camp grounds. They stumble upon me, wave, sleep, craft and gift. Then as fast as they showed up, they were gone. Massive help, so now i pay it forward with spare ammo and water ana a welcoming space to refresh and reload. So thanks again 👍😁
Just started playing and I haven't had an experience like this
I had this happen to me when I started playing and I was so confused that a guy who was like a lvl 120 just giving me that rifle at level one with alot of ammo for it. I still have it and it's still my best gun
I still get nothing haha but I don’t need hand outs
That was the exact weapon that I got when I left and I was practically praised it was fun
