shame on Türkgücü and the cops
Imagine blocking someone for saying that the Kurdish flag isn’t the same as the PKK flag 🤡
I don't even know what the PKK flag is
Pkk is the Arbeiterpartei of the kurdish people basically, who are rather radical and aggressive
Hence why, when I first read that they brought up posters of the pkk, I was rather negative minded towards these fans
They are political extremists and terrorists responsible for a number of bombings and killings in Turkey. It would have made sense to remove anything pkk-related, but the actual banner was harmless, although it’s not surprising that it would cause tension at a Türkgücü game.
The police handled the situation terribly.
Benzema confirmed out of the World Cup too.
Next big star out, man this is turning into a disaster
Dropping like flys
real madrid with that nice BMW sponsor -.-
Come on maaan i need to watch some footballlll
You gonna watch the world cup?
So the question got asked before but I didn't cat h the answer: will there be match threads for the WC? For Germany games maybe? Or will we talk as usual in the DD?
We'll be posting Daily Match Threads, makes the most sense given there's 3-4 matches a day
Tel scored a goal for the u19 nt again in their 2:0 win against Iceland.
Tel is so gonna step up once the season resumes
Things we love to hear
Brazzo was prolly really right when he said that Tel is the kind of player that goes for 100m in a couple of years, might be yet another great deal if he keep this development
From a tactical perspective why did we move away from the 4222? Is it because the off the ball formation of the 4231, being a midfield 5, provides more numerical superiority when defending against counters while also providing more compactness?
Are u interested in reading a lengthy reply? If yes, then I will type a comment here.
I was half expecting you to literally type "a comment" for some reason LOL
Sorry, I forgot to reply to this. I will try posting one after the season finishes.
I wrote a draft comment but that was just based on starting formations. It doesn't show much because the formation keeps varying throughout the game. So, I guess i will have to watch all the games again.
Yes I love in depth analysis
If Pavard eventually decides to make a move to another club do we have any promising defenders in the academy that could fill the 4th CB spot? Could we look to bring in some sort of an obscure player who is not likely to improve his game any further because of his age, and thus is not being monitored by any big clubs, but could end up being a solid 4th option for us behind Lucas, de Ligt and Upa such as Djimsiti?
Stanisic is promising and have shown versatility.
Even if he can play as RB, CB, and LB he's still only one player. Without Pavard in a scenario where Davies, Lucas, de Ligt and Maz are starting we would only be left with Upa and Štanišić as substitutes.
We would still need new defenders.
Indeed, my point was just specifically for Stanisic as back up CB. I don't really have any names that comes to mind for RB/LB options so didn't throw any out there but I agree we need more than that.
But we will still need 1 if not 2 players for our backline when Pavard leaves. We can't go through a season with just 6 players.
Stanisic as RB backup and then trigger Marco Friedl‘s buyback because he can play both LB and CB would make sense imo
Isn't Friedl pretty slow?
Yeah I don't disagree with that. For me if Pavard leaves then Stanisic would be #4 CB, Maz #1 RB, ideally we'd need a backup RB and LB.
Mudryk reminds me so much of Ribery. The way he plays and goes forward when in possession. Would be such a good signing for us IMO.
Shaktar want 50-60 million for him and he’s already talking about wanting to playing in the premier league. Also we have 4 top quality wingers why on earth are we even talking about him being a good signing when he’s not needed?
I'm literally just some guy on a Reddit forum saying he'd be a good signing. Also, this might not be a popular opinion. But personally, I'm not a huge fan of Coman and think we should cash in on him as soon as we can. His main asset is his speed, and when he actually is available to play he is a good player, but not a world-class player. And while Mudryk might cost 50-70m I think his ceiling is much MUCH higher than Coman's (and as mentioned in a previous comment, Coman seems to be stuck and reached his ceiling).
And we need world-class players, not good players. Good players are supposed to be on our bench and not our starting XI.
From an investment POV, Coman is on an estimated $17M/year (lol). Mudryk's starting wages would probably be somewhere from 5-7M. So, not even calculating his potential increase in market value, he would save us a lot. And if you also include the fee we could get for Coman (I think 50 m is definitely realistic) we would be much better off financially.
From a sporting POV, Coman is just very one-dimensional. Either he runs to the goal line and crosses, or takes too long to think and stifles our counters. Often times this does work, but it's not a sustainable way to play. Especially against top teams.
Couldn’t agree more about Coman. Huge respect and appreciation for what he did to win us the treble but when you compare him to sane and Musiala for instance, the difference is really noticeable. I’ve said before, he seems to lack the composure and football knowledge of the previous two.
I’ve felt he often times comes off likes he’s running around like a chicken with its head cut off and then just blasting in uncontrollable or wild crosses. I also don’t think his link up plays helps in our buildup and for teams that sit in a low block. To me, he’s technically lacking when compared to sane and Musiala and doesn’t have the finishing strengths that gnabry does. If someone has to go from our front line, to me it’s a no brainer it’s him.
Is that the kid from Shakhtar? He got a ton of hype going into the group stages of the CL and I meant to check him out
Shit, I was looking at his highlights and it reminded me of Ribery also, glad to see I'm not the only one seeing it.
What I really like is that he is used to both, playing on the counter and against a low block. And that he is not a one-trick pony, but actually does different things depending on the situation (good football IQ). I think he is a player who will transition very well into a top league. Obviously, you can still do it as a one-trick pony, looking at our squad Coman for example. But in my opinion, Mudryk will be a top player.
One week without Nagelsmann ball.
I have come to a football match in 8th division of English football.
Downvote for Nagelsmann ball lol it’s football
i will check out a sunday league match tomorrow near my place, 3€ entry and cheap beer lets go
Qatar could never
VIP lounge is just like 20 grand or so
I think they charge extra for these
On fifa 23 seasons does everyone still only play as psg?
Haven’t tried seasons yet but I imagine a large uptick in Barcelona and City usage
I heard that cheesing matches by just sprinting with Mbappe etc had been turned way down. I found ways to counter it on 22 but still annoying just playing the same team same tactics every game.
How did you counter it? I normally played a 352 but would switch to a back 4 when playing PSG
The best way I found was have Phonzie at RB to counter Neymar spam and Lucas LB to counter Messi spam with Upa and Süle at cb to tank Mbappe. Leaves a bit of a problem for defensive subs but rely on heavy attacking to close the game early with Coman, and Sané on wings and Gnabry cam (Müller supersub). I beat PSG 80% of the time with this setup if they try the usual bullshit with sprinting and dumb skill moves.
A 7-0 win in the DFB Pokal against Duisburg for our women's team.
Next up, CL game against Barcelona at Allianz Arena. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.
The banner in question.
If I speak..
Lol. I want to say so much but I chose not.
Honestly, same. There is so much to say about this topic but it’s probably better to keep our mouths shut sometimes.
All I’m going to say is that I love Kurdish folks
the pkk and related logos, flags, etc are forbidden everywhere in germany as signs of a terrorist organisation
show that shit and it gets removed
There was no PKK logo or flag
For me there is no PKK flag or logo visible on this banner. The Kurdish flag itself is not forbidden.
Look at this aswell, wow
This banner justifies the police beating up and pepper spraying fans ?
Bavarian police is more and more drifting away from democratic standards.
WTF? So the police attacked the fans, including children, over… this?
What are we missing?
So turkish and kurdish people (historically) are pretty much enemies, to give you a analogy on recent events:
Imagine an ukranian side playing vs a random team and that random teams fanbase put up a "random team fanclub russia" flag.
Given the announcer, I assume that officials around the club (or fans or Idk) of Türkgücü felt provoked, hence why the game was stopped and the fans were asked to remove the banner.
They refused because they said it's not provocative, which then lead to everything you see above.
I absolutely cannot tell you why the police decided to intervene like that, just feels like some sort of power trip but sadly, as we know, nothing will happen to them anyways.
I try to not endorse ACAB shit, but when you see stories like this so often, it's often hard not to start thinking it...
Turkey and Kurdistan aren't the best friends to put it mildly, so Türkgücgu as semi-turkish club had probably some issues with that.
But that's totally bs here, this isn't even political, it's just a few fans putting the name and the flag of Kurdistan on their banner.
The video of the players at the NFL game is funny as hell.
My favorite moments are:
Davies is very excited about doing the coin toss (5:10) but they really just want him to stand there while it happens.
The players have a meet and greet with Tom Brady and Musiala introduces himself but Brady hears it as "Jabahn" instead of Jamal. Musiala meekly corrects him but Brady just looks at him and moves on. Happens around 12:00
Vettel just pulled that lap out of nowhere.
Lol how every F1 comment gets downvoted. It's not like the sub is almost dead anyways without any kind of football.
I imagine that it was downvoted before, but it's at +4 now. I imagine that your comment had an impact!
We were all on -2 to -3, now I'm on -5 :D
Just your usual reddit then lol.
The whole lap I was scared about a blocked S3 but he just went straight ahead through there without even blinking. No fucks were given there!
That is really peak Qualy Seb.
Vettel's last qualifying session as an F1 driver :(
You've seen what Ferrari did for him?
Was your question in reference to that Ferrari farewell to Seb or was it with regards to Ferrari's incompetence when Seb was driving for them ? I assumed it was the latter but just saw that wholesome video on their twitter page, they did something memorable (in a good way) for once.
Their farewell gift
My bad, didn't realize that. Might've shedded a tear or two by the end of it.
That's why I said "what they did FOR him" not "TO him" :D
>shedded a tear or two
Totally acceptable. Only shows you are a human.
My comprehension skills have been on a downward spiral in recent times (not ideal for somebody who is studying to become a lawyer).
Will keep a box of tissues with me for the race coz it's all going to get very emotional tomorrow. Don't have any expectations from AM but Red Bull better have something special planned for Seb's final race.
Yep, bad old days. That was the beginning of my Ferrari hate era and that only intensified with time. Things are worse with AM but they don't consider themselves to be the face of F1.
Holy shit what a lap by Seb that was. Cutting through S3 with all the others like there is no one
A living legend doing living legend things. His retirement will leave a void and one that nobody can prepare me for.
> Manuel Neuer was heard telling Youssoufa Moukoko "Come to Bayern" after the youngster was asked about his future during today's press conference
On a similar note, while Neuer is the GOAT that Yellow WC Kit is so bad. Its too distracting imo
Reminds me of Liverpools McDonald’s kit from last season, hopefully it helps Süle make more effort to helps Manu out.
Tears. Our captain has to dress as Ronald McDonald just to motivate Süle.
Desperate times desperate measures etc etc
FC Bayern 2 game is cancelled in case anyone is wondering
Apparently the kurdish fc bayern fanclub had a small banner with some kind political message (a fan in the stadium said it's related to the pkk) and didn't want to remove it, after 25 mins break the situation escalated and the police attacked the fans in question to remove the banner. Apparently a kid was also injured with pepper spray during that.
Maybe TZ will release more information https://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/tuerkguecue-muenchen-fc-bayern-amateure-regionalliga-bayern-91926184.html
We have more info now, it was literally just "FC Bayern Fanclub Kurdistan" with the Kurdish flag
Alright, 14:30, time to check the line-up for today's ma- oh.
The fuck is going at the ama match? Did the fans raise a Hopp banner or why are they only passing to each other?
Apparently a racist banner
TZ is saying it was a banner from the FC Bayern Kurdistan fan club. Apparently (not confirmed) they asked them to remove a Dachau banner as well.
I think this game won’t resume, fans are fighting police now
They’re beating fans up to take a Kurdistan banner away from them lol
Bavaria is truly something else
Someone on twitter said the kurdish fanclub hang up a banner which was pretty much about the pkk, which would make a lot of sense given the stadium announcer asked to hold back political messages multiple times
Would be good to know if actually was a PKK banner
..And our fans are doing some kind of protest so the game is now stopped
Edit: Game suspended for now, fuck whatever our "fans" are doing
Well, now we know the fans did nothing wrong. They just had a banner saying "FC Bayern Fan Club Kurdistan"
And this is why you don't jump your fellow fans immediately without knowing any context
>Game suspended for now, fuck whatever our "fans" are doing
Can't we wait until we know more before we blame the fans and call them not real fans?
First game under our new coach is now live
Tel recently won U17 Euros and now is statpadding in U19 level as well. Looks like he's going to U21 next and he's only getting better, Since Sadio is out for January he's getting more gametime.
In case anyone is bored today: Bayern 2 is playing against Türkgücü München today, game will be streamed on Sporttotal
Edit: At 2pm (or in 3 hours)
I thought that team went bankrupt.. Guess they got saved in the end?
God those 2010 vibes were unmatched. Eventhough my country was eliminated in the group stages, I still feel like that was one of the most feel-good vibes WC on all aspects.
Muller that WC was so fucking good.
Maradonna: who the fuck is Thomas Müller?
Müller: scores against him after just 3 min
What is it with people tempting fate with Müller. Maradona, that Jota Jordi guy from Barca. Need someone else to do it now.
Fucking yellow card
For me 2010 had a better feeling than 2014 aswell somehow
2006 still kicks for me like crazy. I was a child, the wc in my country and the song “love generation” was airing everywhere
BE THE LOVE GENERATION
UH YEAH YEAH YEAH
I haven't been following Timber. Is he having better form than De ligt? I would like some unbiased take on it. I do know that De Ligt was a bit shaky in the start of this season. Also, he had some injury issues. I don't get all the over reactionary comments on Van Gaal's choice.
De Ligt hasn't been very good for the national team
It’s cuz they’re playing a 3 back and De Ligt isn’t as good at the RCB spot.
