Serge Gnabry has rejected Bayern's latest contract offer. The player now wants to take his time before making a decision on his future [Kicker] bye serge

Homygod319

Gakpo, raphinha are the wingers we’ve been linked with in the past. Either of them would be good although i prefer raphinha

kvnschm

Haas disasterclass man... Mick and Vettel where on points and than this bullshit ffs Albon with that Wiliams in the points again is crazy

julesvr5

+ F1 comment, if no interest please stroll past + Mick and Seb with an amazing race, vettel advances to p9 with alonso with penalty in front so net P8 with mick net p9 and mick completely fucks up and rockets straight into vettel and crash both out. A fucking nightmare ending to an already shit day. What the hell.

Mattse007

This shit is so frustrating....

SebRev99

>Seb with an amazing race 😎

kvnschm

What a nightmare

abloesezwei

So Gnabry should be sold then. Who would you sign as replacement?

cavsking21

No one because Gnabry won't be sold. He won't leave.

julesvr5

I hope he does when he refuses a 17-19M contract offer

cavsking21

He will obviously leave on a free lol. Why should he go now?

julesvr5

You said he won't leave. So what?

cavsking21

As in he won't leave *this* summer. We won't be able to get a fee for him.

julesvr5

Ah, now it's coming together

KA_Bayern

Diaby best possible replacement although I imagine Leverkusen would be hard to negotiate with and the rumored 75m fee is very steep Olise very different type of player but he's fantastic. Was already on our radar last summer and apparently has a 35m rc. He's better than Raphinha and Antony for me

Hansi15

>Olise The name emerged several times now and I took a glimpse of his game. Such ball control is crazy. He has good pace and decision making apparently. >35m It's in pounds so roughly 41m€. Seems like a decent deal.

SebRev99

Raphinha

FlyingArab

Wait for Leeds relegation and then snag Raphinha

Homygod319

Raphinha would be great

TheEmperorsWrath

Antony, by preference. Otherwise I guess Raphinha for a more immediate replacement, Jérémy Doku or Noa Lang for a longer-term project.

TheBigGit

Gakpo* for the long-term.

TheEmperorsWrath

He's great too

FlyingArab

> Leroy Sané is fed up with the persistent discussions around him. The winger wants to simply play his football in peace [Kicker] Just play well my dude and no one will have persistent discussions. I don't see any persistent discussions about Davies or Coman, because they play well and don't look sloppy like Sané or Gnabry

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

show the effort and nobody will bother you leroy, its simple

kadoooosh

Put him on the left wing again and everyone’s happy

FOKvothe

His performances are much more than just not playing on the left. He has days where he can't even make a pass to a teammate one meter away.

[deleted]

[удалено]

abloesezwei

The number floating around for his wage demand is 16m. I don't think there's much room to be torn when it comes to him.

TheEmperorsWrath

>Serge Gnabry has rejected Bayern's latest contract offer. The player now wants to take his time before making a decision on his future [Kicker] He rejected 17-19m a year? Yeah, sell him now. It's not even worth considering giving him more than that

Petarthefish

Once Gnabry and Lewa leave and Brazzo signs some useless players we will be in bad shape, id rather have Gnabry stay.

Hansi15

I think it's bs. No way he just rejected 17m€/y, let alone the possibility of earning as much as 19m for playing average with a coach who often plays him and a squad that accepts him. If this really is true (frankly, I hope it is) then sell him asap. We can't let the guy leave for free. If he leaves for free, Brazzo can go with him too. Downvote me for saying it, but extending Gnabry for 19m€ or letting him go for free looks like a huge blunder with his general performance and Brazzo should have a serious talk with the board about it, otherwise it could weight heavy on his shoulders I kept hoping he will come back to that amazing form he had in 2019/20. But it's been 2 years now and barely any sign of improvement was shown that justify the wages he asks for.

TheEmperorsWrath

Yeah I agree. I think offering him that amount was a mistake to begin wtih

FlyingArab

I really love Gnabry, but I don't think that he realises that he's not that good. He's a decisive player that can definitely finish chances and score nice goals, but he's not consistent enough nor dynamic enough to warrant the "appreciation" that he wants

skylu1991

Well, first give him an ultimatum. He has until after his vacation, but once he comes back he’s either getting sold or has to accept our current offer!

kvnschm

Why should we keep waiting on him??

skylu1991

I went under the assumption that we either already decided to sell him, should he not take our offer or that we are at least already looking at players for his succession. Since basically every player will be on vacation, this is meant to be a last ultimatum! I’d have no problem with deciding against Gnabry right here and now, but since that hasn’t happened officially and Brazzo/Kahn talk so much about not wanting to do it during the season, this is what I think would be best or most likely. Should we decide to play 3AtB much more often, we might also look for RWB instead of pure right wingers, always depending on how we see Coman.

kadoooosh

Or he doesn’t accept the offer and leaves on a free next summer.

skylu1991

That could happen, yes. But if we decide and communicate openly about him being for sale, I reckon somebody will paystub least an ok amount for him. Arsenal, Tottenham, Juventus or maybe even Real/Atlético all could do well with a player like him! He probably wont earn as much as our current offer, but they’re sure to give him more than his current wages, I’d reckon.

TheEmperorsWrath

And that is why we need to stop waiting until people enter the last year of their contract to negotiate the extension

scrambledeggsss

Last year his performances were just as bad and inconsistent. Should they have extended him then?

TheEmperorsWrath

We should certainly have been in a better negotiating position then, whether the board decided to sell him or extend.

kadoooosh

That would be lovely

ExpatHabs

If Bayern had committed to him at 17-19m two years ago we'd be in trouble today wouldn't be?

TheEmperorsWrath

You're completely misunderstanding this. If this whole shitshow had happened a year earlier, he wouldn't be able to threaten to run down his contract and leave on a free in the immediate future and we would be in a much better negotiating position.

ExpatHabs

If it happened last year then wouldn't have signed if he was unhappy with the figures and Bayern still wouldn't have sold him because there are no world class wingers available on the market.

TheEmperorsWrath

Lol, there are plenty of wingers on the market who would be perfectly adequate as a Gnabry replacement.

ExpatHabs

Can you name some?

TheEmperorsWrath

Antony and Raphinha come to mind. But of course the most obvious one is ***Florian Wirtz***

Hansi15

> Nagelsmann: "I wish we could play like we did in the first half of the season, exciting football and stable at the back. Of course we have work to do when it comes to the squad"

kadoooosh

My brother in christ you are the manager

Nsxon19s

Well duhhhhh! Can’t put all the blame on the players though. Tactics have to be examined too.

skylu1991

I doubt the tactics are to blame for hitting the woodwork or Nianzou having 2-3 howlers… Everybody involved knows we can, have and should play better! It’s not as easy as "only tactics wrong“ or "players are too bad“, especially when some of these problems have been around since (before) Flick and haven’t even been able to be "cured“ by our treble coach.

kvnschm

Just noticed that Sarr won the most trophies this year in our squad. What a beast

JVints

Benched because he's OP.

FFF000123

Wait he's the Original Poster too? My man's just too dangerous.

kvnschm

We would have won the CL easily

arnoldbread

Balon d or candidate

kvnschm

He has my vote

Hansi15

I am grateful for this team's effort, really happy with the celebration and still have faith in JN. But the squad's quality deserves more. I am sure that if we didn't show this kind of attitude in certain key moments this season, the critiques would have been fewer. The upset would be little. Also, if JN was *rotating* these few matches, again, fewer people would have had any complaint imho. Nevertheless, I am hopeful. I know we are better than this and quality stays and we will make better use of it next season. I hope the next transfer window will be intense and the transfers will be taylored on JN's wishes. It's the way to bring the most out of him. He needs to be respected by both the team and the board and he too has to stand his ground.

scrambledeggsss

Kimmich is so mad damn

ExpatHabs

Maybe he's seen his performances this year

scrambledeggsss

Don't remind me

FFF000123

😡

FFF000123

Please Vidovic, Musiala and Wanner next game. At least on the bench for god's sake.

julesvr5

Wanner will be at a tournament iirc, so he's no option.

FFF000123

L

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

shoutout to our youth players, barely played and still more championships than marco reus

scrambledeggsss

💀💀💀💀 (I hate twitter type of reactions but this seems fitting)

footysocc

Last BuLi trophy for Süle for the rest of his career

strugglingtosave

Who's winning next year?

JVints

Davies Hi5!!

FFF000123

Wait how is Messiala there?

wifi-wire

Game today emphasized that we should loan out Nianzou and bring in an experienced CB.

kvnschm

Pervious games where good by him and one fuck up match is a decision already, that he should go?? Than every CB we have should have been loaned out

GER_BeFoRe

in the previous games he should have got a red card in the first half and got subbed out because he got lucky with a yellow, how is that good? This wasn't the first time this season he made crucial mistakes and in this games he made several terrible mistakes which did cost us the game. Also he is soooo slow, I think he is the slowest player with Roca and that's not enough for us.

kvnschm

How already said, if you go with this assumption, than all CB we ever had, had to be loaned out this season. Süle, Hernandez and Upa had 1-2 fuck up games in a row. And the speed assumption is ridiculous, if you take into assumption, that we had fucking Hummels, Javi and Alonso with us

footysocc

Should've received the Meisterschale after the BVB game

SebRev99

Can the season just end already?

heterosapient

Anyone else watching the BMG Frankfurt game see the coca-cola stand on the sideline of the players bench? At first I thought it's was just branded water bottles for the players but the fluid was cola colored. Does anyone know if the players or staff are drinking coke during the game?

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

i have seen players drinking some coke before, last time in one of the cl games that went to extra time and it makes sense, get some sugar and caffeine into the body

KA_Bayern

Yea I've seen managers drinking those during a game before. Doubt its for players tho

heterosapient

I mean it's really not thaaaat different than Gatorade. Quick surge of sugar

Jackman1337

Quick surge of sugar is not optimal for sport tho

heterosapient

Exercise takes energy. Energy= calories. The human body prefers sugar calories (in the form of glycogen) rather than fat stores calories for energy during strenuous exercise. You even seen marathoners eat those energy goo packets? Basically sugar and maybe salts. Gatorade and coke have both

KA_Bayern

Laimer is decent and brings much needed athleticism but would rather Neuhaus for 10-15m more than the rumored 20m for Laimer

julesvr5

Laimer offers a different skillset what we are lacking though. No point to get Neuhaus when we are in for Gravi

BiasedBavarian

“Gravi”… ew

Thraff1c

We arent in for Gavi, thats just a way for his agent to put some pressure on Barca to give him a bigger contract. Edit: Apparently I cant read.

julesvr5

Read again

Thraff1c

Fuck, I thought we agreed on Ryan, exactly to prevent those misunderstandings.

julesvr5

You already told me, but I don't care. I like Gravi!

KA_Bayern

I think Laimer would help a ton in transition but we would still be lacking passing quality in mf with him. Gravenberch Goretzka and Laimer arent natural passers imo. Neuhaus brings passing quality while still being a good athlete with positional discipline

gokkel

35m for Neuhaus, what

KA_Bayern

He's very good. Not bothered by him having a somewhat poor season, been completely misused by Hutter. Last week vs Leipzig was the first time he was able to come deep to get on the ball and he was arguably the best player on the pitch and Gladbach played the best football they have all season

kvnschm

Leipzig will never accept an offer around 18-20 million from us

skylu1991

They might this year, as he’d be free next summer. But since Liverpool and other Prem teams are involved, the player has to decide where he wants to go. It he chooses us,much like Sabitzer, RB‘s hands are tied!

kvnschm

They made pretty clear though, that we have to pay extra, if we want a player. For example for Nkunku, we would have had to spend way more. These were rumors, but after last year it isn't that unlikely

KA_Bayern

I doubt it but Fabrizio says we're preparing a 20m offer

irun_mon

Line up is coming out in 4 minutes and this is just a reminder that if you expect Nagelsmann to rotate as much as you do on FIFA you will always be disappointed.

Hansi15

I rotate more on a fixed chair than JN rotates the squad

julesvr5

Always this minima maxima thinking. I just want some rotation of maybe 3 players like other teams do aswell but besides Nianzou we play our strongest line up available. That is not rotation.

irun_mon

Jokes aside i think Nianzou and Upa has been one of our best CB pairings. They really complement each other

Hansi15

>one of our best CB pairings I agree. But I like Süle-Lucas more

kvnschm

How can you say that?? 1 player is a heavy rotation for Nagelsmann

lvl50boss

But the 59 rated player says he thinks he deserves a chance over kimmich :(

DevilsOfLoudun

yes, because FIFA ratings are the true measure of a player...

FFF000123

Doesn't make much of a difference if a mostly first team line up starts, with no motivation or competition for their places and they lose the game with a very bad performance. Wonder when that happened lately hmmm. Would rather give some youngsters a chance, like playing Wanner at LM instead of playing Choupo there like the last game for example.

kvnschm

Hahaha, quality comment

FFF000123

Feels like I've wasted an hour of my life watching Ajax for the last 60+ mins. Dreadful game tbh. Mazraoui still hasn't played, Timber seems solid till now. Aaaaand they've just conceded the goal, not sure if it was Timber's fault or someone else's.

julesvr5

Don't know if you remember, but me and my family built a shed last year and there is some new [progress1](https://ibb.co/v317k3Y) [progress2]( https://ibb.co/XkdRrnF) if anyone is interested in

SebRev99

Damn how big is your house

julesvr5

I don't have one, moved back in to my parents when I can back from university. Will rent my own flat next year when I get full money (end or traineeship)

Goldfischglas

Do we really *need* to invest 25m+ on Gravenberch, a 19 year old talent who needs playtime and plays in a position we have already covered? We are so stingy with transfer fee's these days alltough there are many positions we desperetaly need to strengthen. I just wish we would use the Gravenberch money elsewhere idk Getting Maz is huge though

Hansi15

>covered As it stands, the "cover" is precarious. Sabitzer had very few minutes when he was actually useful, thus going in the new season with this uncertainty (i don't call him a complete failure, because he has some potential) is reckless imo. >25m If it would be 25m€, that would be good actually. 30m is indeed a tad too much, but you could argue it's a fair price if he plays more. JN should not shy away from taking players out of the pitch if they don't perform and promote competition. He can't do that if he doesn't have the players who can put that pressure.

gokkel

I am really a fan of having some real competition on most positions, and a solid depth. No player should be guaranteed a spot in the starting 11 even if they are in terrible form. I think this is something that was missing more and more lately. That said, I do have my doubts that Gravenberch will get that much of a chance for game time and competing for the starter. We have seen how our backups have been treated this season again. Unless Goretzka is injured half a season again, he will probably not be given a real chance to compete and then it is just a waste to get an expensive 19 year old. I really hope I am wrong though.

kvnschm

I am personally the same opinion. Yes Gravenberch maybe has alot of potential, but next year he is free and many Ajax fans are really critical about him. They say, that he is really inconsistent and imo, if we have the option, that he stays one more year and than comes too us, is better than paying now 25+m on him.

FFF000123

ANNOUNCE MAZRAOUI

TheBigGit

I think he will be announced after the end of the Eredivisie season.

FFF000123

Unfortunately he's also injured so can't watch him play till the end of the season. Gonna watch Ajax in 2 hours though for Gravenberch and Timber.

skylu1991

Isn’t it the other way around? Mazraoui is fine, but Gravenberch is injured.

FFF000123

I think Mazraoui was injured and wasn't even on the bench for the last 2 games, just found out Gravenberch also just got injured. Mazraoui's only on the bench today so not sure if he's even going to play. Seems like the Bayern "DNA" is flowing through them in full force

TheBigGit

Please tell me how they did afterwards, I'm not sure if Timber is coming home, but at least Gravy is pretty close.

FFF000123

will do mate 👍🏼

Hansi15

Watching the game last night (LFC v. Spurs), where Conte used tactics Klopp "hated" (in his words) made me think about how we approached games recently. Klopp faced the same issue as Pep in City v. Real (not having a classic 9 up there, facing a sturdy defensive block which ultimately lead to cross&inshallah tactic). We too, as Klopp did in the final minutes of the game, strangle our opponent often, which tbh I haven't seen JN doing in the first part of the season as much as he does now. What's different tho is that we do have a classic 9, but our morale is down, our mid is almost non-existent and our defensive perfo keeps getting bad, despite the individual quality of our defenders. Klopp tried to disperse the game before Diaz's goal, but slowly strangled his opponent which created some weird scenes when Salah or Mane had to head the ball. I think if we move the game further from the goal and not pushing that deep, we could be more effective, also giving our wingers some space to move, not just useless cut-ins/crosses, which keep getting more and more predictable.

skylu1991

First of all, I didn’t see that much from Liverpool yesterday, that is more effective or more dangerous than our normal style of play. (Yes, right now, our morale, concentration and form is gone, but I’m speaking about generally.) Like, Liverpool even does the whole cross-and-inshallah thing, when they become desperate! Plus they went full 424 in the end… What I think you describe and I also see as a problem, we need the ability back, to sometimes play the old "handball“ around the opponent. Instead of always trying to go for goal as fast as possible, we need to sprinkle in those phases of suffocating possession. One one side, to disorganize the opponent, but it also could help us keep our stamina a bit higher for the times we do full-speed pressing.

Hansi15

Even if Liverpool plays dangerous, they have a very Flick-like approach. Once they lose the ball, they turn crazy to regain possesion. That's why I thought that if we faced them before, we would have witnessed a very spectacular football. But what differs and really makes them a stable squad in the long run is both the individual quality of the defenders and the backline tactics. >the old "handball“ around the opponent. It worked best with Robben and Ribery who to me seemed more agile on tight pockets than our current wingers. Only Musiala gives hope for the "handball" approach. Otherwise, JN did great to disparse and drag the game a bit further from their goal, early in the season. Used well the pace both Coman and Sane are gifted with. Now they are forced to work in very narrow spaces which hinders a big chunk of their potential.

julesvr5

3h up already, 2 of these are work. Another probably 9h to go. I hate this Sunday.

Acog-For-Everyone

Ah yes Reddit. Where you get downvoted twice for having a bad day. Lovely creatures on this platform.

julesvr5

It's not really bad though, just annoying. 12h work shift today due to elections on a Sunday. When I'm back home I have to study for a big test tomorrow and further big tests coming up on Tuesday and Thursdays twice aswell. Stressful week.

Acog-For-Everyone

I get that. You’ll pull through no worries.

julesvr5

And in addition to that I thought I had a good week sport and nutrition wise but I gained 0.2kg instead of losing 0.8kg, dammit

kvnschm

Maybe you gained muscle weight at this point

julesvr5

Haven't worked out for weeks now due to holiday and stress, just was jogging since Tuesday. I rather lost muscle mass at this point :D

kvnschm

Ooohh, yeah than its unlikely. But if it's only 0.2kg, than just take a dump haha, that should do it

julesvr5

>if it's only 0.2kg While yes, it technically is more though. Let's say I expected a weightloss of 0.5kg but gained 0.2kg, I missed my target by 0.7kg But will just continue until Sunday when it's measurement day again

Acog-For-Everyone

No professional will ever advise you to analyze your body in increments of 7 days. Don’t read too much into it. Could be as trivial as water retention that goes away in a day or two.

julesvr5

Yeah I know this myself, but somehow I like to fuck me up xD Compared to last Sunday I was taking a shit before, today not and also 4h earlier. I may think it's some water retention to, but for the moment it's always a downer

KARES2K7

2013 is already 9 years ago from now...

rinacio

I’m not a religious man, but today I’ll pray Aue pull a Villarreal on Bremen.

TheBigGit

Why? You don't want them back to the Bundesliga?

rinacio

I do, I just want them to finish third because they've the best chance to take out Hertha/Stuttgart.

TheBigGit

I agree, but It's quite hard to finish third in this situation, 2nd-4th have 57 points, even if they get a draw, they'll jump to second, they lose and stay 4th.

julesvr5

Bayern villareal or Liverpool villareal

rinacio

Juventus
