Not that I disagree with your comment, but Hines cost them basically nothing pick-wise, costs only $2m against the cap this season and can be cut for $0 dead cap after this season, and is much better depth than Moss. It was more of a no-brainer move than necessarily an indictment on Cook.
>zack moss literally was a healthy scratch all season
He's only been a healthy scratch the past two games.
I agree with your comment as a whole, but it's a notable distinction to make.
Not to pile on, but if Cook was their receiving back this season, then they wouldn't have traded for Hines. Here's Buffalo's efforts in the past 8 months:
1. In March, they sign McKissic in free agency to a 2 yr/$7 mil contract; 24 hours later WASH pulls a fast one and signs him to the same deal to stay with them. BUF was not happy.
2. In late April, in the 2nd Round, BUF takes Cook, in what many draft experts consider a reach pick for need.
3. Cook sees playing time for the 1st 2 months.
4. 8 weeks into the season, at the trade deadline, BUF trades for Hines, a veteran widely considered a top-5 receiving back.
tl;dr Cook is cooked
At best, that backfield is so jumbled that counting on any of them consistently is a fools errand. They all have talent, but the offense works the way it does for a reason, its not changing because its so successful, and that includes not necessarily focusing on one RB.
People here don’t read and comprehend. Just react prematurely and as negatively as possible.
All OP is really saying is that Cook will be a useful asset if Singletary goes down. In a manner of speaking, trading away Moss is a vote of confidence in Cook to handle early down work in the case of a Singletary injury. We already know Hines is not that guy. So with Moss gone, Cook is the most obvious option on the roster to inherit that role.
There is no way even if Singletary goes down a small 190 pound back that can’t pass protect is taking over his role. It’s going to be a committee, they will pick up a free agent or elevate a practice squad player….
Cook looked good on a couple catches. But that’s done for now. Both Singletary and Hines would have to go down to have significant value. Just like that, someone like Zamir White would even become of more interest.
moss was incative the last 2 games and now hines is back there cook wasn't doing anything when it was just him and singletary but now since they added hines hes going to be a stud?
Lmao off dude, I can see you trying to spin a scenario in your head where Cook is a fantasy winner. The truth is he won’t be fantasy relevant this season. Don’t know about next.
Handcuff on a run last offense
He’s a handcuff of a handcuff, on a run never offense
Where the QB vultures 3/4ths the goalline rushes
I have Dalvin Cook and I really want James Cook so I can call my team "Too Many Cooks", but it's just not worth it.
Get yourself some Brandin Cooks. Or hell, Russell Wilson.
Good God man, he's not trying to burn down the kitchen and get the fire dept called! 👨🚒🔥🚒
Russ can be that guy running around killing his team from the inside
Before I cut him, my team name was Let Russ Order Takeout.
The only thing Russell Wilson knows how to cook is shit on toast.
I had Brandon cooks and Dalvin Cook a couple of years back, my name was “ two cooks, 1 cup“ and I won. Jussayn…
HAHA. I literally changed my team name to that a couple weeks ago, as I also have B. Cooks.
This is one of the worst posts I’ve seen in a while, talk about delusional bag holding
Bingo
Peak is ja’marr chase injury leak and the opposite of that is prolly this post.
Zack Moss never played
[удалено]
Josh Allen is more than capable
James cook is not capable of early down work, they would elevate practice squad player or bring someone in
James Cook is one of the leagues most heralded rookies? Hmm didnt know that
If James cook was what you say he is, they wouldn’t have trade for Hines.

The fuck are you saying, zack moss literally was a healthy scratch all season, him leaving changes nothing

No thanks

Everyone in r/ff is 100% positive Cook is going to do nothing this season so obviously he’s going to be a league winner
Hines is the back to own in Buffalo James Cook? Gtfoh man...
This is one of the worst takes I've seen on this sub in a while
Delete this man. Genuinely don’t wanna see you get cooked by everybody here, no pun intended
He's sorely overlooked? As he should be lmao are you serious?

Thoughtful post + dismissive comments = player added to my roster

Let’s ride

Great post! I'm dropping CMC for him as we speak
Put down the crack pipe
Yeah, maybe.

No
Not sure if that’s the right use of lament
Probably a good stash in 24 team leagues
Think I’ll pass on a 3rd string RB
It willn’t happen for cook this year, i guarantee it!
Handcuff^2
I dropped cook for mecole hardman
I dropped him to Hilliard as my Henry handcuff after he popped up on the injury report.
I picked up both he and Moss. I think Hines impacts McKenzie more than Cook and I wouldn’t be surprised if Moss leapfrogs Deon.
Are you trolling
