I grabbed Josh Johnson as my Huntley replacement for my Lamar replacement. I don’t even know what to expect but hoping for the best
Between him and Matty
Same, going Matty ice
Same, but leaning Johnson. Matt Ryan ceiling is so low
Same dilemma but. I don’t know if I can start Ryan. He’s been so bad
Not an option for me sadly. Sitting on taco bench
I just made my own comment asking Tua, JJ, or Roethlisberger.... you're making me itch to roll out JJ. Hmm!
I’m just looking at the colts game that he filled in for Mike White and I want that magic replicated. I’m in probably the toughest matchup of the season and it’s only the semi’s, so I can’t play it safe. It’s boom or bust time for me
Johnson has been with the team for how long? Can he really know the play book?
Bengals defense is very good.
What he did in Jets game was all during garbage time as they were down more than 20.
JJ's stats in the colts game all came in garbage time
I wish my WR and RB projections were more ready... but I do have them finished. Feel free to ask or DM any boom/bust questions you have at those positions and I can give you some feedback from those lol.
I still have to figure out what I'm doing at about 3 spots this week. Ugh! I was gonna fly our Pringle but, not anymore.
I'm going with JJ in super flex position over other bad options. Lock, Book, Mills. Hes 35 but he should still be fast. He ran sub 4.5. Threw 3 TDs in his last start but that was in '18.
Yeah it's the whole 2018 thing and his age that are most concerning. And you know, that he JUST arrived to the team basically lol. Ugh! Fantasy is a frustrating game sometimes.
Lost Lamar/Huntley/Taysom…picked up Tua myself.
Finally to playoffs and my team is decimated. Josh Johnson or Trevor Lawrence lol
Oh boy. I feel like Trevor is the "safe" play. As in.. 12-14pts SHOULD happen. Josh Johnson is a wild card, I don't love the matchup but it could lead to garbage time and maybe the old man still has legs for rushing yards since he hasn't been hit a whole lot in his career lol.
Umm. Trevor? Good luck with that one.
Does mahomes change at all with kelce out? What about burrow with the ravens D bad and 3rd string? I'm kinda stuck between the 2 lol
I would go with Burrow. Both matchups could end up with the RBs doing a lot of the work. Gosh! I keep flipping as I think about this lol.
Burrow.. final.... answer?! Good luck today.
Thanks you too!
Start Jalen Hurts or Josh Allen?
What did you do? Did you win?
Idk how bad but I hear their is some weather in the NE vs BUF game again... Hurts.
Brady or burrow?
If it were my lineup, I think I would throw Burrow in. But, I feel like there is a 60% chance I would get that call wrong. So take that as you wish lol.
I also have AB kinda like the stack but ya so close it can go either way.. Brady been qb1 in this league so I might just stick to my stud
You asked the wrong guy. Hey, /u/brewers3333 you from Milwaukee? Also, /u/milkybeefpants was wondering which guy you chose?! I'm curious too.
Started Brady and still won by 40 lol put up 160 so if I did strt burrow would’ve had around 200ish and yes from Milwaukee but don’t live in WI anymore
Go Brew Crew!! Grats on the win, nice.
Been struggling to decide between Dak and Tom Brady all season. Hindsight 2021… Do the injuries on Tampa not make him a dangerous start this week? Probably need either one of them to pop off.
In regards to the injuries, I mean yes. Of course they hurt his output. I'd say more so his ceiling than anything though. If there is one guy who can dink and dunk their way to a successful top-12 QB week, it's Brady.
I'd go Dak, but as you've struggled with all season; it's tough... especially with how Dak has performed since coming back from injury.
That’s a tough one but I’d probably go with Dak against WAS. Brady without Evans and Godwin is scary.
Brady still has his two favorite targets this week. The two guys he went to to win a Super Bowl last year. I would be way more confident if he still had Evans and Godwin, but he still has a fantastic 1-2 punch.
Tua or Big Ben? Obvious choice seems to be Tua but Big Ben has had better weeks more recently & could have to score to keep up vs KC
Yeah, I feel like big Ben is the boom/bust choice with a good opportunity while Tua is the safe choice but in a tough matchup. Yuck
I'm going to go away from my personal opinion on the players based on the Najee situation and say to double down on Pitt (roll w/ Big Ben). In part because apparently he does much better on the road than away, if there is ever a week they could score alot it's when playing vs Mahomes, and some of the experts I listen to like him this week.
FYI... after much deliberation I have decided to go with Heinicke over Big Ben, JJ, and Tua (in my lineup). In a sense, this should give you confidence in Big Ben because I have struck out this year at QB. VERY regularly, and the guys I have chosen to not go with have often done well or at least better.
this is what i needed to stop freaking out today
Enjoy the ride as much as possible. Good luck!
Cook Russ cook!
Playing Russ over Cousins.
Is it crazy to be starting Stafford over Hurts?
I don't think so. I'd go with my gut between those two. Better chance of a shootout forming between Rams vs Vikings than Eagles vs NYG.
Did stafford lose you the week?
No fortunately Justin Jackson and the Eagles defense saved me.
Hurts or Herbert killing me right now
I'd give Hurts the nod myself. If you are confident that you have the better team, Herbert is probably safer though.
Thanks for checking in and discuss away in the comments.
I've got a question relating to my own fantasy squad. I have Tua, I quick picked up Ben Roethlisberger when the news on Huntley came out (because I heard some fantasy folks hyping him up this week).. but now I'm contemplating Josh Johnson as his style of play matches what Baltimore wants to do; and his most recent output (2018) was decent. Should I get crazy and play Josh? Even crazier, IMO, and play Roethlisberger, or stay safe and play Tua?
If I play Tua, I do have NO defense that I could play instead of Chargers D to offset some of the Tua risk of a bad game...
Bengals defense is good. Johnson has been with the team for what, a week or so?
That offense works because of a running qb and RPO.
Johnson was a good dinner but is 36 now and has no chemistry with the team. Not sure why his range of outcomes are so high.
Tua is safe but think the Saints defense is very strong and they will be fun heavy on offense so will be slow game without much scoring potential.
Think Ben is the play
Alright alright. Some good points. I can say the range is based on his 2018 #'s. I'd have docked it a small % but I find that when guys come in like this and defenses can't game plan, they seem to have a good game just as often as they do what we expect them to do.. so I left it as is. His age does not bode well for the rushing upside, agreed.
I would go with tua here. Ben seems better than johnson though
So, if I go Tua. Should I hedge my bet with NO defense over Chargers, in your opinion?
Hmm. I would go chargers here honestly.
I appreciate the input. It will weight on my decisions I'm sure.
Not to nitpick but derek Carr, big ben and matt Ryan should all have higher floors than anyone in the 2nd group outside of dak
You're more than welcome to nitpick! There are reasons the formula does what it does, I don't always agree with everything either... and I made them! Lol. It does all alter from week to week. When I began Derek Carr was like the safest floor guy outside if the studs, weekly. He's slipped some recently.
Oh for sure. I like him today though
I don't like him for a big game but a solid game, agreed.
On a 1 RB league with javonte Williams and David Montgomery, who do I flex considering I also have cd lamb?
I like Monty by a couple of hairs
Soo Tua or Josh Johnson? Thoughts?
Anyone?! Please lol. I'm struggling with a similar decision and I've tossed Roethlisberger into my brain war as well.
Jalen Hurts of all QBs is the QB to own this week. Who'd have thunk.
Well, it's official now, 12pt game incoming for Hurts lol. Idk that I like him as the #1 overall this week. I feel like either they roll over the Giants and just run the ball the entire 2nd half OR you get one of those classic divisional games where the kickers battle it out for the victory.
Hurts is in an evaluation year as they know they are not SB contenders this year. So I'm hoping to see them let Hurts throw for a lot and rush a lot on designed runs.
Cousins or Burrow?
Cousins in a potential shootout with the Rams but tough defense.
Burrow playing a 3rd string QB and game script can get away from the QB
You're like the single case that I didn't recommend Burrow lmao.... so uh, I think you can start to be concerned about Kirk outscoring Burrow in the long game. I hope you ignored me!
I like Kirk there. Primarily for the same reason you have concerns with Burrow. Both have solid floors today but for a ceiling, I prefer Kirk. Don't get too discouraged when Burrow throws a 56yd bomb to Chase in the early going. It's all about the long game for those two.
Tom Brady’s ceiling is more like 30 lol angry Brady is something else
Man I’m really struggling between cousins, tua and Ryan. Any suggestions would be helpful
Personally, I like Cousins out of the bunch.
Same but this matchup has me nervous, rams are playing on a short week on the road tho.
Not to make this tougher for you but I also have some slight concern that Theilen may be more of a distraction than a contributer on offense. If so, that could work to their detriment more than help them.
Yea for sure, plus the cracked rib that cousins is dealing with doesn’t help either. Trusting Ryan is scary and who knows if tua catches Covid before the game, I’ll be completely screwed lol
Yeah. Tua catching covid is weighing heavily on me RN. I can't decide what QB to play lol
I’m just gonna roll with cousins and hope for the best lol
Went put and got me a dark horse who wasn't even in the running. Heinicke it is for me
I have Ian Book after the Taysom->Huntley debacle for my SUPERFLEX spot but let me tell y'all, I'm looking HARD at just rolling Damien Harris instead.
Hurts or Mahomes
I go Hurts and then hold my breath like a MFer all day
Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady? Tyreek is back but Kelce is still out, and I’m afraid they’re going to rely heavily on the run game in this one.
Stafford or Herbert
Herbert if you have the better team, expect to win (floor)
Stafford if you think you're the underdog (ceiling)
Trevor Lawrence or Matt Ryan? I have no choices at this point 😂
I think Matt Ryan is safer. I like Trevor's matchup more, but he has yet to prove that will result in good fantasy points
Dak or Cousins ?
Dak for the floor, Cousins for the ceiling. Depends what you think you need I suppose. Very nice, but worrying pair to pick from this week. Good luck.
Thanks for the answer. I think I’ll be going with Dak. Best of luck.
I believe in him and thanks, you too
Dak or Burrow?
Matt Ryan, Big Ben, or Josh Johnson?
