Yeah i think this is the more realistic approach. A to go cup for espresso is basically pointless unless you *really* gotta go. Just knock that shot back š¤
Personally if I have time to make espresso I have time to drink it while I wipe things down imo. Maybe if you wanted to bring 2 doubles to a friend or something it would a pretty niche use case
I have the 6 ounce hydro flask one and itās awesome. Itās a great size for the milk drinks and they stay hot/warm for around an hour without the lid on, which is nice.
I have been searching for a nice thermally insulated stainless steel tumbler for espresso.
6oz or less, YETI or Hydroflask style. I found this one today at Whole Foods seems ok but I prefer without a handle.
Has anyone come across anything like this or know of a good one?
Everything I find is 10-12oz at the smallest. It seems weird but I love leaving the house with like a black double shot and it would be nice to have a very small little tumbler to use.
I use this https://www.yeti.com/accessories/rambler-bottle-5-oz-cup-cap/21070100006.html (Just the cup portion) and it's been great. Won't be ideal if you want a lid for it, though.
If you don't want the handle checkout the hydroflask wine glass. I think it'd be about the right size...
Edit: actually it's 10 oz which sounds bigger than you want. Not by that much though.

I have this, but looks like it has been discontinued. It is awesome.

I like the insulated stainless KeepCup. Supposedly itās ābarista standardā shape to fit under group heads and comes in different sizes. The extra small is six ounces
I am - I will be using the lid for the first time tomorrow (my first day back at work since getting the cup). I've been happy drinking right from the cup and the rim seems pretty comfortable. I'll report back on how the lid does tomorrow when I get home.
My only problem with them is the [Flex Sip Lid](https://cdn.packhacker.com/2020/03/8c020f53-hydro-flask-12oz-coffee-with-flex-sip-lid-lid.jpg) that came with mine gives off a very plasticky taste when I drink through it. I have to remove the lid and drink straight from the flask instead.
The best one I have found, by a good margin is the Fellow Coffee Travel mug. It fully seals at the top and keeps it hotter for longer. I usually drink a flat white about 3 hours after making and it's still hot (not warm). It's still warm after 6 hours (not hot).
Is it this one ? https://fellowproducts.com/products/carter-move-mug
Does the lid screw on or simply push on? Sometimes Iāll throw a reserve cup of coffee into my bag ⦠the Frank green is good since the lid screws in
The best tip I ever received for thermal cups and thermoses was to fill them up with hot water for a minute or so before you pour your desired beverage in. I have the 8oz yeti cup and if I fill it with boiling water for a minute or so it will keep a triple shot hot for 2-3 hrs.
i bought a few from sttoke. insulated beautifully. feels good in the hand. i usually pull two triple baskets and head out the door. the taste does change a bit from enjoying it out of a proper espresso demitasse but it maintains the heat, body and much of the espresso love
Sttoke being ceramic inside makes it a bazillion times better than any stainless steel mug. The stench of stainless steel travel cups after a few months is awful.
Handle-less, rounded if possible, and 7oz would be an instant buy from me. Could go up or down by 1oz in either direction and still be ok. I'm all ears! Key is handle-less, I want something like this bros

I know it's more ounces than you're looking for, but the [Yeti 10 oz Tumbler](https://www.yeti.com/drinkware/tumblers/21071015002.html) might be the right size for what you're going for. They used to call it a Kids cup but I see they dropped that moniker.
It's close to the width of an espresso/shot glass but would be certainly taller than one. My kid likes it.
would be great to use for takeaway at coffee shops. some coffee shops near me only use disposable cups, and it would be great to not have to contribute that waste when going out for coffee.
Finally! Back when I was a barista I dreamed of having a reusable espresso cup to keep my personal drink warm in between slinging drinks for everyone else.
Yes, but why espresso size? I have brumate cups for 12/14/16/32 oz.
If you can't finish an espresso before it gets cold you have another issue and it isn't cold espresso. š
I have one of these! Big fan. I don't use the lid always, but it still keeps it warm longer than a ceramic cup would, especially outside during the winter.
Pretty niche cup but if you would use a really small vessel that would be best kept a little warmer than usual, I'd buy it.
Disclosure - I'm a Hydro Flask dealer.
I like the 12oz mug the best for a double shot latte, but it doesn't fit in the cupholder in my car, so I've gone with the 12oz all-round tumbler, sadly that doesnt fit under my portafilter with my Lunar scale.
The mug didn't either on my BDB but the extra clearance of the Sync and the bottomless has been good there.
Not stainless, but the Husky cup (Australian) comes in an 8 oz size with optional lid.
I wouldnāt think youād need to keep a small drink hot for hours. This one does great for 20 - 40 mins and fits in standard cup holders (no handle).
If you need hot for long and can put in the dollars, consider an Ember.
I got one in my Christmas stocking. Nice to make a cortado or cappuccino and drink it on the road.
Yeah i think this is the more realistic approach. A to go cup for espresso is basically pointless unless you *really* gotta go. Just knock that shot back š¤
i bought it and used it for the first time this morning. im sold i love it.
Nice I love mine. Comes in handy when Iām shoveling/playing with kids in the snow too.
thatās cool a lot of people would like that. Not for me since it takes me about 1 min to drink an espresso. No sipping for me
sometimes that 1 minute is in the car or outside lol
Personally if I have time to make espresso I have time to drink it while I wipe things down imo. Maybe if you wanted to bring 2 doubles to a friend or something it would a pretty niche use case

Seconding the miir tumbler. Great cortado vessel
Checking it out now; thanks!

Closest to what you want that Iāve found is this [8oz Kleen Kanteen](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ENNLQNE/)
KleanKanteen makes some pretty nice 6 to 8oz ones Check amazon HydroFlask also makes an 8oz version with no handle. Again on Amazon.
If you don't want the handle checkout the hydroflask wine glass. I think it'd be about the right size... Edit: actually it's 10 oz which sounds bigger than you want. Not by that much though. https://www.hydroflask.com/catalog/product/view/id/1054/s/10-oz-wine-tumbler/category/35/?color=stone

looks rad tho
I like the insulated stainless KeepCup. Supposedly itās ābarista standardā shape to fit under group heads and comes in different sizes. The extra small is six ounces
Look at this https://www.wacaco.com/collections/octaroma/products/octaroma-classico-dim-grey Brilliant quality, I have the one size bigger one.
very cool
Same here. Itās awesome. Perfect size for a cap or a cortado. And it keeps shit hot.
Are you drinking from the steel ring so? How thin is the lip of the vessel? These factors are huge for me
I am - I will be using the lid for the first time tomorrow (my first day back at work since getting the cup). I've been happy drinking right from the cup and the rim seems pretty comfortable. I'll report back on how the lid does tomorrow when I get home.
Lip on the fellow travel mugs looks thin https://fellowproducts.com/products/carter-move-mug
I like those hydro flak coffee mugs. The stainless steel is polished in such a way so it doesnāt hold flavors or give off flavors of steel.

But is there a 6oz or 8oz version of the Fellow mug?
I see an 8oz size, which I believe is the one I have. Also, importantly it fits under my espresso machine.
Is it this one ? https://fellowproducts.com/products/carter-move-mug Does the lid screw on or simply push on? Sometimes Iāll throw a reserve cup of coffee into my bag ⦠the Frank green is good since the lid screws in
Yeah that's it, and it screws on, has a rubber gasket so doesn't leak. I throw it in my work bag.
Awesome. Thanks.

ooooooooo. I think I want.
right?!?!?

I got this 8 ounce Stroke, and I like it: https://sttoke.com/products/8oz-insulated-home-mug
yeah. thatās the one. quality stuff
Sttoke being ceramic inside makes it a bazillion times better than any stainless steel mug. The stench of stainless steel travel cups after a few months is awful.

Corrado / Cortadito cup? Still seems over kill to thermally insulate a drink that shouldn't last that long.
Quad shots here I come.

Shut up and take my money!!!!
I just bought one of those, perfect for a one-shot late or a cortado.
Finally! Back when I was a barista I dreamed of having a reusable espresso cup to keep my personal drink warm in between slinging drinks for everyone else.
I like a 10 oz Yeti Rambler for Americanos but my drink is probably only 5 oz max. Keeps it too hot.
I use the 10oz yeti and love it. Palmable. I only drink cortados. But I usually make 2 and they easily fit
Yes, but why espresso size? I have brumate cups for 12/14/16/32 oz. If you can't finish an espresso before it gets cold you have another issue and it isn't cold espresso. š
For those of you who drink 6oz of espresso at a go.
Ha
thatāll be $50
AINT NO POOR PPL HOBBY!
Pretty cool minus the handle
Seeing it for $20 on Amazon. Was it cheaper at Whole Foods?
$21.95
Is that including the 30% off stated on that tag there in the background of your photo?
that was sticker price so came out to less šš¼
Not bad then. I'll have to see if I can find one at my Whole Foods next time I'm there.

$8,000

I have a 4oz Joco glass travel cup.
