I’m using dark elf

Argonian for everything
They make fine tanks and healers, but they make better boots and purses.
Argonian can be detrimental to endgame healing actually for certain meta builds. Makes a decent healer if you aren’t trying to optimise though.
Edit: Why am I being down voted? I’m not wrong XD
Argonian warden healer with most vet trials done. Why you heff to be mad.
is only game
Who’s mad? Hopefully nobody is mad.
Argonian is a good race but it’s not the best, certainly not the best for all builds. You can do all content with Argonian of course. You can do all end game content with a Redguard Healer too. I said it hurts some endgame healer builds which is true, I didn’t say it was trash tier and nobody should pick it. Play whatever you want.
Don't lie. It's not a good race. They need developer attention (something they will never get)
For healing it’s a good race. It’s not the best race but it’s a solid race. They could be better sure, they could be a lot of things but as they are currently they are solid. You can do things with an Argonian and do them well.
ok for one thing and trash for everything else. Sure it's solid. Switch their passives with dunmer lets see what players will say then.
My healers are Breton, my purse is Argonian.
That literally only matters if you are absolutely min maxing the hell out of a build for a vet trial or something. Any race can be any class and any role
Of course, which is exactly what I said in my comment.
This is the way
I have an Orcanist "book cool! Book shoot laser!" *Smash*
I've been wondering if there were other orcanists out there.
Me fail English? Unpossible.
Lol why do orcs have to be dumb? There are smart orcs too!
Imperial because the shield and I think a few other abilities scale off of max health
Mine is also an Imperial
Dark elf, so I can heal and do damage. (Because I already have way too many tanks)
Wanted to be able to do heals and both mag and stam dps, so went with khajiit.
This one has the way.
This is the way 😸
This is the way.
Redguard. It's led to a fun hybrid class build where I smack people with the stamina tendril and then book laser them to melt the survivors.
I went redguard. I am wanting to do a stam build and didn't have a redguard toon yet.
Ig I'm the only person who picked bosmer :(
I’m rockin a wood elf arcanist too! Ha
Bosmer is more popular among PvP players. For PvE it’s mostly: Nord, Breton, Dunmer and High Elf. Khajiit is an honourable mention too.
I just like wood elves, plus I thought it would be funny to be a really short arcanist
Me too! A lil short and angry bookworm.
Fair enough, that’s good enough reasoning. Race makes very little difference, even at end game. Only time having an optimal race matter is when you’re score pushing but very few people do this so it’s safe to assume that for most people race is mostly cosmetic. It does help to have a somewhat synergising race though.
Bosmer is great if you want to maximize your movement speed, dash around maps faster than most mounts.
Bosmer's bonus is only 5%. I have 3 Bosmers and I enjoy them all, but in my setups the speed is not a big difference if you are trying to go for the speed cap. It is not enough to replace any set or CP bonuses. It can replace Swift from one piece of jewelry if you are using those, but that's about it.
How are you gearing for speed that you feel it makes a big difference over other races? I would be interested in trying out different setups.
Steed stone with some pieces of armor having the increase standing stone effect + the champion point speed increasers, though on my non-Bosmer alts even with a similar setup they definitely feel slower...
With those bonuses you are right, if I am calculating properly. You should be around +36% from those, or +76% while sprinting, so the Bosmer +5% does make you faster. Medium armor increases sprinting further, and even with 7 pieces you are not quite at cap (+97% while sprinting vs +100% cap), so the additional +5% helps (but only by +3%).
The perspective difference from the point of view being closer to the ground might magnify the feel of the difference too. It does for me. My max height Nord feels downright sluggish compared to my min height Breton, and I usually do not run any speed gear on either (just the CP +20%).
On my speed builds I have been running Jailbreaker + Ring of the Wild Hunt + CP = +80% walking while out of combat, which hits the +100% cap when sprinting out of combat. So I really don't notice right now.
Mag - High elf devout and overzealous Mora cultist called Sola Scriptura. I was astounded the name wasn’t taken.
Stam - Khajiit who’s a Baandari bookseller. Bargains-with-Bookwyrms.
I love them both.
this is the way
A Bosmer! She abandoned her clan in Valenwood to find a book that has been lost to time. Stumbled onto the Wooded Eye territory and found one of such in an old ruin. Now travels the world in search of adventure and even *more* knowledge of ancient power.
Also, shorty elf with a book laser that goes **BRRRT** is pretty fun!
Orc and altmer.
Imperial. Idk, something about the imperial race felt fitting for it. Also, lots of role play opportunities with it
I tried Imperial for the first time, didn't work out. I liked the look, but my Khajiit performs much better as stam arcanist.
I liked the reduced costs with imperial, but ... meh.
Nord. Doing a tank/healer hybrid.
I'm trying Imperial for the cost reduction max stam and health.
I made a Khajiit and kind of based her appearance on my kitten the best I could. I'm playing her as a lightning staff user cos my bby girl is so energetic and gathers a lot of static electricity lol.
Sounds like Ember.
For the magicka I play Altmer. The minor dmg resist while channeling the booger beam is what's really nice and extra spell/weapon dmg is always welcome.
For Stamina I play Dunmer because most my characters are dark elves and I like them.
I always play Argonian. It's not optional.
Bosmer DPS and Khajiit healer
Argonian master race
I have only two characters total, a Nord Templar healer, and a High Elf Arcanist. I’m still extremely new to the game and attempting to learn more. I’m not gonna do much else until I get everything figured out with these two characters
My main is a Dunmeri magsorc. I adore him.
I had necrom on my Xbox but I lost my controller so I just bought the chapter collection on my gaming computer, so I booted it up and started my high elf arcanist!
Khajiit, granted all my characters are khajiit.
Khajiit because I'm a sucker for crits and anything that makes them stronger makes brain happy
I made an Argonian named Tickles-Her-Spine.
Khajiit, because it feels weird having Ember as a companion being any other race, and there are no other companions. Also, my main (sorc) has been aKhajiit since 2015, and looks identical to my arcanist. So my head canon says it’s the same guy. Also, I lucked out that noone had take the name “Mr Arcanist” 😬
I went with a khajiit but unlike all you clever clogs out there with your numbers and your meta... it was entirely for silly RP reasons
No, Meta Kat-Jeet is Stam ! Hits like a truck Walker !
I went with a khajiit for my initial one, made him as big as possible, and named him "Sits in Small Boxes"
I then made a dark elf with a Telvanni name before they were all taken.
She will probably be a healer because I think the support skills look pretty nifty.
Khajiit! I love my kitty girl!
Imperial named Oculatus.
Altmer for my magarc and Bosmer for my stamarc.
Altmer. Because I always play Altmer. :)
I was going to do either cat or lizard but I already have 3 cats and 2 lizards, so I went with Redguard. I plan on making a tank, healer, and DPS on same character. The tank is about 85% done and I'm already loving it. The DPS is about 60% done and already hits like a dump truck.
Almost every arcanist I've seen has been Dunmer.
Dark elf is superior for stam build
It was very difficult for me to find a race i want to play. As much as i like eso/tes i heavily dislike the character models in eso. Faces are really angular and riddled with edges, even when you make them as soft as possible they still dont match my liking usually.
I prefer playing non humans but still humanoid looking but there are too many elves for my tase xD.
I can make Khajiits im okay with but i also want to draw my character in journals and i cant be bothered to basically learn how to draw a furry.
Since i already have a breton for duo play i settled eventually on an altmer i managed to make not look like he has yellow fever and looks what is to me, manly. I also picked altmer because i want to play stamina Arcanist first for solo and dabble in casual dungeon stuff stamina healing which altmer should be great for.
Initially i wrote rp stuff for bosmer and khajit but it did just not click
Daring today aren’t we OP
Breton! My first Breton actually, although having played through Necrom I kind of wish I'd gone Dunmer or Argonian
Orc, due to only having one orc alt
I made a dark elf dps and argonian tank. Simply cause their one on the last races I haven't used.
Orc. I've decided that orc is my favorite Elder Scrolls race now. It used to be breton, but I'm all in on orc now.
Nord and nord
I'm currently going through re-making all my characters to Argonian when I think of a decent name, so Arcanist wasn't going to be anything different. :)
Dark elf stam for pve, and mag for pvp
Try mag PvE and Stam pvp. I think you will be impressed by the results
Thanks, will give it a shot. Any builds you can recommend that I can use as a baseline to work from?
I already have a Sorc Altmer so I went with Dunmer
Breton. The class just fit the character, no mechanical reasons
Dunmer, mainly bc I haven’t played as one in eso up until now lol. I figured, hey, what better time to make her shine than now, since they have the spotlight anyway??
I went with Argonian.
I went with Breton. Versatile (lore-wise) good mag racials, fits the book oriented aesthetics and I played through High Isle to start leveling and get Isobel. It's fun being a very traditional book wizard with a very traditional knight bodyguard.
I use the scholar personality and Librarian title.
When I want to jazz it up, I just use one of my daedra polymorphs.
Ranged DD/healer- female Dunmer Magcanist
Melee DD/tank - Male Orc Stamcanist
Nord, for roleplaying purposes.
High Elf, dressed him up like a member of the psijic order.
Dark Elf themed after Drizzt from Icewind Dale.
Argonian of course. I have an Argonian for every class, so naturally I need one for Arcanist. Rn he's just leveling, but might be a healer later.
Dark elf cause I didn't had any
Being a filthy role playing dark elf.
Klaatu Barada is my High Elf Beamlord. I just wanted to build around the book beam as it looked fun and High Elf was just too perfect.
I do have a race change token and for aesthetic and story purposes I'm seriously considering just swap to Dark Elf.
I use Nord for that juicy ultimate gain and extra resistances for both PvP and PvE Tank.
Argonian so I have my own personal tentacle
Argonian. Only run Argonian. (Minus my one human character, who's mainly for WW bites)
Orc stam bow/inferno. Loving it! Although I'm considering changing my bb as mag sustain is rough. Might go bow/bow masters back
Dunmer cuz it was in the trailers
I was going to make a dark elf, until I realized I already had four of those lol so I made a high elf
I have a khajiit and a wood elf
High elf but khajit is looking really interesting for my PvP troll build
Dunmer for edgy, daedric vibes. She looks great in green and black
I have a Dunmer named Naeryn Telvanni and a Breton named Rayelle Loreseeker. I plan to make a tank as well but I haven't yet. Probably an Argonian, as I have two other Argonian tanks and think they're a really interesting race.
2 Breton and dark elf
Dunmer, nut rp'd as a Maormer.
Altmer/ High elf
High elf master race
My first Khajit been fun so far
I made a dark elf in the end just because I really wanted to play the new chapter as a dark elf. Otherwise, I wanted to make a khajiit arcanist.
Kitty. You waste no magic and have decent stamina and health head starts. Also the perks help with boosting crit, recovery, and base stats. Really it's a well rounded race for this class
