Gorgonzola cream sauce is incredible on everything. I make it with just black pepper, nutmeg, parsley, cream, and gorgonzola and slowly melt it all together and it goes on meat, potatoes, roasted veg, just toasty bread sometimes, and sometimes I just dip raw celery or carrots in it. It's nothing like typical blue cheese dressing. When cold it has body like cream cheese and when hot it is the richest creamiest cheese sauce ever
Edit: added commas for clarity
I commented about how I thought it sounded good but decided to just look instead and, [yep, people make it.](https://www.notquitenigella.com/2008/01/14/gorgonzola-blue-cheese-ice-cream-inspired-by-gordon-ramsay/)
Especially when half of it goes onto the cutting board. Really tired of these food videos where we have to have a ridiculous amount of cheese or sauce gratuitously drenching the thing its going on in some sort of attempt to make it look more appetizing. And don't get me started on the whole trend of smashing your food at the end to make all the juice squirt out.
This type of fast paced wham bam irreverent food building videos are super popular on Instagram and TikTok these days. People are getting lots of attention for them. So lots of copy cats. And yes they’re annoying after a while. I suspect they’ll disappear by the end of 2022.
Yeah because social media has eroded our attention spans so kids/teens need bright lights and flashing colors in bite sized videos to maintain their attention
Yeah this whole Salt Bae shithead trend of beating up/ molesting food is just fucking weird. It's like watching a toddler throw a tantrum while making food.
Yeah, the entire point of putting food on bread is you *don't* want shit all over your hands. It's supposed to be a one-handed, no mess experience. Messy sandwiches miss the point entirely.
Great photography but eating that thing would be an absolutely awful experience.
Tired of people pretending that hard crusty bread is enjoyable to bite into as part of a sandwich.
And the thought of cleanly tearing off a bite of that sorpressata with a set of normal human incisors is a joke. Put that shit on a cracker and eat it in one bite, that’s what it’s for.
So true. Here in Germany you are cruzified when you say that you choose soft white bread for sandwiches over german Brötchen which have a crust that rips your gums apart with just one bite.
Lol at your whole comment. Fair opinion, but you cannot generalise your tastes. In my opinion, hard crusty bread >>>> soft bread. And you don't need a crocodile's jaw to eat soppressata.
Also, you're free to eat these things however you want, but please don't generalise the way you eat them as the "right way" to do it or the way they're supposed to be eaten as that's simply not true.
Have a good sandwich!
>hard crusty bread >>>> soft bread
I think that's the European taste mostly. Reddit is US-centric and that parent comment being upvoted so much for suggesting crackers shows that.
Lol yeah there was a post on the Germany subreddit from an American guy living there asking how to eat bread?? He was like "all the bread tears up my mouth what am I doing wrong"
Edit: can't find it. Wonder if he deleted it for hate he was getting? But found this one which is even funnier imo https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/comments/tk1pop/why_is_german_bread_so_bad/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
yeah everything about this video, and by extension this sandwich, is adventures in when opinions can be wrong.
any time the knife touches the bread in the video I physically cringe from the noice. Runner up goes to him taking that gross bite in the end.
I was just wondering if maybe there’s something wrong my my mouth, cause I knew this would literally tear it up. I see all these crispy sandwich vids, glad I’m not the only one that would hate this.
Plus he really didn't even slice it all that thin, especially for prosciutto.
I have a slicer too and you're right, huge pain to clean. I only bust it out when I'm cutting up an entire roast.
You hate him so much you watch and comment on every video.
I looked at his other posts and He does suck though. Slams everything and looks gross. At least he’s getting the views…
Managing to ruin the simple concept of making a sandwich, you are the equivalent of a child who discovered markers and you're wreaking havoc with your creative expression. This is ghastly at best.
The best thing about a lot of Italian food is that it's simple, we usually don't mix two types of meat in a sandwich, and the best stuff is really just a couple of good quality ingredients that mix well together
Yea. That's one the the things I miss most is the simple food. I took several cooking classes while out there and I wqs amazed at how such simple ingredients tasted so good.
Last video people asked for more shirts. Now you have 2 shirts. Talk about listening to the fans.
The sandwich looks great but I feel like the harshness of the movements when assembling it were not helping create tension towards the final product.
Also your tomatoes look amazing. I’ll start seasoning them like you for sure.
Yeah it’s super popular for cooking channels to do this quick cut bit to fit it into story format but this guy just has no eye for photography. The shots are way too close, and the color and brightness are all fucked. It makes the quick cuts chaotic and hard to follow rather than snappy and terse. And the angles keep changing slightly in the cuts, since it’s all held by hand. It’s jarring as hell. Seriously, get like a $5 stand off of Amazon.
I made this video in the winter and the one without a shirt in the summer that’s all
Thank you man and let me know always season your tomatoes and each ingredient of the dish separately 🙏
That sandwich Is Italian like Queen Elizabeth. We don't use two cold cuts in the same panino, It would be too much salty and you wouldn't be able to appreciate the taste of both the cold cuts
Seems like a blue cheese and cream sauce.
Personally, I would have just spread that blue cheese on the bread rather than make a very thin sauce since it was already nicely creamy.
It’s called Gorgonzola dolce, and is a soft version of a blue cheese. Common to be melted into pasta dishes.
This particular sandwich would’ve benefited from a strong bed of rocket, not mixing strong Salumi with mild prosciutto, and perhaps less of the dolce sauce
I'm lactose intolerant and am down with creamy cheese sauce. My tum tum just gets angry and revolts but I eat cheese and cream sauces anyways because they taste good.
However, his application and thinness of sauce were awful. Thicker sauce or use as a dip.
This was extremely difficult to watch with all the jump cuts. Add in the throwing a bunch of sauce all over the cutting board and this simply isn't a good video.
I really hope this sub doesn't just become 'watch me make a sandwich like it's tiktok'
I agree with the sentiment that the bread would be an unpleasant part of the sandwich, however I would attempt to eat this sandwich, and thus it cannot be that bad a sandwich.
This is gonna taste like salt and it's gonna be a complete mess to eat. Tough crusty sharp bread, dry chewy cured meat, gloppy sauce, soft tomatoes. Recipe for disaster.
I've been seeing a big trend of people advising me to "SEASON YOUR TOMATOES" but that much salt seems like overkill on this already salty sandwich. I like the freshness of the tomato on its own.
If this guy is making a sandwich to satisfy his particular sandwich desires, then good for him. Glad he enjoys it. If he’s making a sandwich to impress the internet, he has failed on multiple counts.
I thought “soup sandwich” was just a phrase my drill sergeant made up, I guess it’s a real thing.
Alright dude. Other than the weird hot sauce you put on the sandwich. This one looks good. I think it’s hilarious that you are wearing a sweater and a button up in this one. Since your shirtless fiasco.
Why the prepared sauce in the middle of the sandwich sucked. All you did was blanch your charcuterie. Which helps on to none of the sauce.
How I think you could have utilized the sauce better.
As a pour over like a croque monsiuer. Would help cut out the strength of the crust of the bread.
Or as a dip. Again to help cut the crunch of the crust, but to allow users to apply themselves.
Otherwise it just looked like hot mayonnaise that you poured over it.
Edit- I forgot to add. Please stop with the exaggerated knifing thing though. People who are watching might think that’s how it’s done.
This one is okay but is there a reason on youtube food channels that either in the thumbnail or at the end they have to lean into the camera holding the food with a creepy smile? Totally turns me off to the content.
r/StupidFood. Hard to believe this guy is Italian. Probably just living there. Italian food is so refined, this is just gross. Why do you need more than one type of cheese and one type of cured meat? they each have beautiful flavors you can’t fully enjoy in this fat fest.
The cumwich
That was my first thought “looked alright till he came all over it”. Why? Why was that even an idea? Who pours cheese milk on a sandwich?
Gorgonzola cream sauce is incredible on everything. I make it with just black pepper, nutmeg, parsley, cream, and gorgonzola and slowly melt it all together and it goes on meat, potatoes, roasted veg, just toasty bread sometimes, and sometimes I just dip raw celery or carrots in it. It sucks on ice cream
I commented about how I thought it sounded good but decided to just look instead and, [yep, people make it.](https://www.notquitenigella.com/2008/01/14/gorgonzola-blue-cheese-ice-cream-inspired-by-gordon-ramsay/)
Dont knock it till you try it!
Thanks I hate it. Stop slapping everything around.
Is this a How To Basic video?
This type of fast paced wham bam irreverent food building videos are super popular on Instagram and TikTok these days. People are getting lots of attention for them. So lots of copy cats. And yes they’re annoying after a while. I suspect they’ll disappear by the end of 2022.
They've been popular for quite some time, doubt they're going away this year.
This guys big on instagram where its safe. Hes new to reddit. He has no idea how the minds work here
Yeah because social media has eroded our attention spans so kids/teens need bright lights and flashing colors in bite sized videos to maintain their attention
Actually I think it’s the 30-50 yr olds who are responding so well to this style of videos.
It’s the stupidest trend to ever exist, and only guys do it.
Gets the job done and literally change nothing. Let the guy have fun.
Drives me nuts how he plops everything together. It's like the equivalent of loud chewers.
it's not a tiktok if it doesn't look like you just throwing shit on the counter.
Hahahhahahah
I hate that trend, and I also hate TikTok. Everything I watch reinforces my disdain for TikTok. It all just makes me cringe so damn hard.
100% with you. Possibly the worst ever way to "share content".
Yeah this whole Salt Bae shithead trend of beating up/ molesting food is just fucking weird. It's like watching a toddler throw a tantrum while making food.
I bet you'd love howtobasic then.
If I don't end up on some sort of registry while cooking then what's even the point?
These style videos are so unoriginal and tired. OP has no style of their own.
It looked good until that gloopy sauce went on. Is gloopy a word?
Agreed. Fuck this drippy mess, should have had it as dipping sauce maybe but pouring it all over it..
it's gorgonzola made more liquid adding milk, I wouldn't do it, it's useful for pasta tho
Yeah, the entire point of putting food on bread is you *don't* want shit all over your hands. It's supposed to be a one-handed, no mess experience. Messy sandwiches miss the point entirely.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Italian sandwich with a cheese sauce before. I hope this was the first time and last time.
Yeah, it probably cooked that prosciutto too. Meh.
Hot cheese water. Or jizz. I dunno.
Aren’t they the same thing?
Just watching this ripped up the roof of my mouth.
Scheduling my soft palate repair for after this sandwich.
Hard palate unless you deep throat glug glug your sandwiches
Great photography but eating that thing would be an absolutely awful experience. Tired of people pretending that hard crusty bread is enjoyable to bite into as part of a sandwich. So true. Here in Germany you are cruzified when you say that you choose soft white bread for sandwiches over german Brötchen which have a crust that rips your gums apart with just one bite.
Exactly, this is not how italians eat sandwiches
Im italian I can confirm this video is illegal in my country
Anche io so italiano
Si chiama “sorpressata” perché è sorprendente
Exactly. As much as that bread was grilled it might as well be on a cracker.
What if its cut super thin? I prefer soft break to be honest
Not to mention the fucking soup he poured on top of it causing the entire thing to fall apart regardless of the super crispy toast job.
Lol at your whole comment. Fair opinion, but you cannot generalise your tastes. In my opinion, hard crusty bread >>>> soft bread. And you don't need a crocodile's jaw to eat soppressata. Yeah I love my crusty bread! The sauces and moist things on the sandwich make it nice anyway.
Depends on the sandwich but both have their places.
yeah everything about this video, and by extension this sandwich, is adventures in when opinions can be wrong. any time the knife touches the bread in the video I physically cringe from the noice. Runner up goes to him taking that gross bite in the end.
Leathered meats sandwich.
I genuinely thought I was the only one who absolutely demolished my mouth on crusty fucking bread
True even he looks like he was having trouble with that bite lol
That soppressata would be hard to bite through too.
I was just wondering if maybe there’s something wrong my my mouth, cause I knew this would literally tear it up. I see all these crispy sandwich vids, glad I’m not the only one that would hate this.
Hurts so good
Just hopped in the comments section to say this.
Yeah same, mine it bleeding.
I own a meat slicers. Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to use one for a single sandwich. Those things are a bitch to clean.
Plus he really didn't even slice it all that thin, especially for prosciutto. I have a slicer too and you're right, huge pain to clean. I only bust it out when I'm cutting up an entire roast.
That prosciutto slicing was garbage
Just soap up a sponge and slice that into 50 slices.
Worked in a restaurant with one. As a dishwasher, it was the bane of my existence
Yes sir. I cut the shit out of myself every time i have to clean mine, no matter how careful I am.
Why does everything have to be dropped or slammed down?
[удалено]
You hate him so much you watch and comment on every video. I looked at his other posts and He does suck though. Slams everything and looks gross. At least he’s getting the views…
For the tok
I would pour the sauce Into a small bowl and dip the sandwich in it, but to each their own!
You mean you wouldn’t pour half of it on your cutting board for no reason?
I need some water now
Managing to ruin the simple concept of making a sandwich, you are the equivalent of a child who discovered markers and you're wreaking havoc with your creative expression. This is ghastly at best.
I lived in Italy for years and never saw a sandwich like this. All sandwiches were bread, meat, cheese and typically arugula.
The best thing about a lot of Italian food is that it's simple, we usually don't mix two types of meat in a sandwich, and the best stuff is really just a couple of good quality ingredients that mix well together

Next video hes gonna be Lookin like Christmas Story Ralphie brother when mom wrapped him up for a snow day
RALPHIE , I CANT GET UP, RAPLHIE COME BACKK
I hate the way it’s filmed.

My bf says he’s “watching his salt” and won’t let me put salt on tomato slices for his sandwich, only pepper, and it hurts my soul.
Salt the tomatoes in front of him since he likes to watch
Wait whaaa?
He’s watching his salt *ba dum tsh*
Hahahaha duh!
I made this video in the winter and the one without a shirt in the summer that’s all Thank you man and let me know always season your tomatoes and each ingredient of the dish separately 🙏
What kind of tomatoes are those? I want to see if I can find anything similar here.
if you buy seeds to grow tomatoes get brandywine heirloom tomatoes they are THE best
Heirloom tomato 🍅
Where did you get your botany degree for that detailed answer? Fucking hipster.
[удалено]
Harsh but true.
He also used different bread after swearing by baguettes. No sauce recipe though.
That sandwich Is Italian like Queen Elizabeth. We don't use two cold cuts in the same panino, It would be too much salty and you wouldn't be able to appreciate the taste of both the cold cuts
You face ruins the video stick on filming the food
What is that sauce?
Seems like a blue cheese and cream sauce. Personally, I would have just spread that blue cheese on the bread rather than make a very thin sauce since it was already nicely creamy.

rocket?
arugula.
It seems to be some kind of cutting board sauce.
Something cheesy... Which doesn't interest me. I was down for that sandwich until the creamy cheesy sauce.
I hope you’re lactose intolerant because it’s nearly biologically impossible for someone to be so opposed to Creamy Cheese Sauce.
I'm lactose intolerant and am down with creamy cheese sauce. My tum tum just gets angry and revolts but I eat cheese and cream sauces anyways because they taste good. However, his application and thinness of sauce were awful. Thicker sauce or use as a dip.
Gorgonzola cream
Lol he's mocking us, this was the most aggressive sandwich slamming yet
I was with you until you made the sandwich into soup.
I saw nothing but wasted ingredients in that video. Many culinary fouls.
The roof of my mouth got shredded just from looking at the bread.
You don't like blood with your sandwich?
Way too much stuff going on at the same time. Those cured meats are meant to be enjoyed separately, or else you don't appreciate the nuances.
I wholeheartedly agree. Those ingredients should be used to make two different sandwiches.
Basically just the saltiest meats out there
But why….why is there so much aggression?
It’s a common trend on tiktok right now. It’s like an ASMR thing
I think he's mad because he didn't wear a shirt in the last video he made, and everyone commented on how gross it was.
This is what an American would imagine an Italian sandwich would be, bruh
More cuts than a Jason Bourne film.
disgusting
Hot sauce on top of a fresh prosciuto and tomato, AND mayo? Whos giving awards tl this abomination?
You had me until the melted cheese. No bueno.
Dear god the mess
This was extremely difficult to watch with all the jump cuts. Add in the throwing a bunch of sauce all over the cutting board and this simply isn't a good video. I really hope this sub doesn't just become 'watch me make a sandwich like it's tiktok'
No thanks
Most obnoxious looking sandwich ever. All tomato and my hands are covered in hot cheese. Hard pass
This guy is so annoying.
ASMR jump cut food has to have run its course by now.
Why are people so angry at him lmao, talk about redditors being shitters
You obviously haven't seen a lot of his posts on the different subs.
What do Italians do with the remaining 4 hours of the day?
I was with you until the N U T
I think there was to much cum sauces in thaT sandwich.
I was in Rome and I asked for two meats on a sandwich (sweet and salty) and the shop owners were appalled. No two meat sandwiches in Italy
That tomato made me feel weird
r/shittyfoodporn
k
Why does he gotta ruin it with too much sauce. At least this time the tomato was ripe and the prosciutto was thin.
I’m really not into this style of filming, I won’t watch another video from someone when they do this shit. Sandwich looks okay tho
My mouth hurts watching bite into that. Like captain crunch rammed his entire stock into your gullet
That looks expensive and shitty
No need for the sauce lol. Just add some arugula.
I agree with the sentiment that the bread would be an unpleasant part of the sandwich, however I would attempt to eat this sandwich, and thus it cannot be that bad a sandwich.
The form he cut the jamón... Os heretic
Why adding tomato to the salt?
Sausage fingers.
Nice shirts!
The taste would be fantastic, but I always regret sandwiches like this in the morning. I can tickle my brain thru my pallet after eating it basically
This is gonna taste like salt and it's gonna be a complete mess to eat. Tough crusty sharp bread, dry chewy cured meat, gloppy sauce, soft tomatoes. Recipe for disaster.
This dude is single handedly murdering this subreddit.
Oh my goodness! I must have this in my life!!! ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
This has tiktok trend issues all over it. And that sandwich doesn't look the greatest. I question every single decision made in this.
I am pretty sure I just had an orgasm....
Had me until he jizzed on it. Thats to much of a mess. For dipping I'd be dope though
It was fine without that watery sauce
I've been seeing a big trend of people advising me to "SEASON YOUR TOMATOES" but that much salt seems like overkill on this already salty sandwich. I like the freshness of the tomato on its own.

Yummy
Meh. Who even Uses a crappy slicer like that anymore? And then makes a mess in his kitchen just to look stupid.
This looks soooo goood! Express mail me some!
did he put warm milk on it?
Alright dude. Other than the weird hot sauce you put on the sandwich. This one looks good. I think it’s hilarious that you are wearing a sweater and a button up in this one. There are other people doing the exaggerated knifing, stirring, food tossing, etc. Seems like a rip off.
what kind of tomato’s are those?
bro this was my first thought too, those tomatoes dont look like any i've seen before
Heirloom maybe?
Yes
This one is okay but is there a reason on youtube food channels that either in the thumbnail or at the end they have to lean into the camera holding the food with a creepy smile? Totally turns me off to the content.
Salame and prosciutto in the same sandwich ? This is an abomination Source: I'm italian
I subscribe to this. Source: I'm Italian too
Wanna trim the outside ‘skin’ off that prosciutto before you slice it though.
This man has a whole ass prosciutto and a slicer in his house, I'm sure he knows how to handle Italian cured meats without Reddit's help.
You can see that yellow rind on there when he slices it. It’s gonna be hard to bite through.
Goes perfect with that hard @ss bread
But can he handle pastrami, the most sensual of all the cured meats?
Dude, this sandwich takes 6 hours to make. Imma jus hit up Jimmy Johns.
I would eat that so hard.
Can confirm, then i proceeded to finish the sammich and deal with the pain. Woke up regretting the pain but nothing else
That bread needs some milk! Sounded harder than a rock!
Those tomatoes look amazing tho
Those tomatoes look incredible
Found some shirts this time!
He made a big mess
THOSE TOMATOES!!!! YUMMMMM!!!!
Someone like jizz on their sandwich
r/StupidFood. Hard to believe this guy is Italian. Probably just living there. Italian food is so refined, this is just gross. Why do you need more than one type of cheese and one type of cured meat? they each have beautiful flavors you can’t fully enjoy in this fat fest.
This looks like a very american way to make an italian sandwich.
Damn y'all said to put on a shirt and he delivered.
I'm on the next flight! Nice share!
TOO THICK YOU CAN'T TASTE IT THAT WAY
But why is he so angry
That looks difficult to eat.
That tomato stole the show.
Too much meat. This is a sandwich in America at an Italian place.
I think this guy is just bragging.
