The truckers do a little trolling inside the /r/TruckStopBathroom on their smartphones when they pull into a truck stop after some long driving hauling goods!
I bet they are on Discord sending random pics of glory holes as their style of trolling.
I didn’t know this app could have dark mode as I’m 29 days new to this app lol and bc of this comment I switched to dark mode amoled black and I love it as a dark mode user myself it’s just so much better than light mode my fiancé is a light mode user as he doesn’t like change and I hate it every time I look at his phone LOL
some people have astigmatism whoch can sometimes be helped by lighter themes. im so fucking sick of this stupid shitty ass "LAWL LIGHT MODE BAD" ***it's an accessibility feature***
I don't think anyone is arguing that it should be removed, at least I'm not, but the debate is about discord's light mode being particularly jarring and blinding. There are many apps and sites with good light mode, but discord literally feels like a flashbang in your face.
I'm all for accessibility and more power to you for using it that way. It could still be improved in such a way that it stays accessible but doesn't make it too blinding.
As a different dark mode user, just make sure you turn off light mode for your screenshots. You chose to live that way, that’s your choice, but don’t blind others when you take a screenshot or something
??? Compelling argument, however: “No.”
Seriously though, that’s an incredibly odd request to make. You know what, *I* prefer light mode, so I too now request every dark mode user to take the time to switch modes just to take a screenshot and send it to me instead of, I don’t know, changing my own device’s brightness and blue light settings to suit my taste.
If your astigmatism is that bad, you should not use computers/phones without glasses, or you will soon screw up your vision more. Take it from someone who went through that once, the difference between glasses and no glasses when it comes to screens makes it impossible for me to stay away from my glasses, even tho I rarely ever use them for anything that isn't a screen.
LOLLLL!!! Make sure to also not invert images or everyone will look like evil ghosts from the depths of hell.
```
document.body.styles.filter = "invert(1)"
document.querySelectorAll("img").forEach((element) => {element.style.filter = "invert(1)"})
```
(I am typing out this js code on phone so correct me if I'm wrong)
Personally, I can't read dark mode. I struggle to focus on the text and it ends up giving me a headache and nausea. I also have an amblyopia and astigmatism, so I wonder if it's related to my vision problems.
Sometimes I get [visual snow](https://www.reddit.com/r/visualsnow/) flareups and those make it really annoying to read on dark backgrounds. I rarely get them anymore, but I just got used to it being light. I use dark mode on discord mostly because it's the default, but I use light mode for nearly everything else.

As a light mode user, I am greatly offended by this joke
As a dark mode user, I am greatly offended by your existence
I use AMOLED dark mode. Pure black and it's gorgeous. I wish desktop could go that dark.
Annie/dark build override idk if it still works
100%

You're welcome :) It's so soothing on the eyes
How do you do it? From what I could find it's not possible on pc
Not on pc at the moment. Only mobile. You can have normal dark which is more of a grey on pc
Oh I didn't know that was a feature
you can if you break tos

That's your problem then. Nothing I can do lol. Light mode just looks better imo.
I’m a light mode user too! It’s so pretty. Lmao

> You chose to live that way I didn't choose to be born with astigmatism and get headaches from dark mode, jackass

I do wear glasses; I even got my prescription readjusted a couple months ago. It still doesn't stop me from getting headaches from dark mode.
I do not understand how this is a bad thing. They are making light mode better.
There is an amazing number of children who think accessibility is a joke.
We must not forget **PRINTABILITY**!!
Just invert it. /s
LOLLLL!!! Use an inverted pfp so it looks normal when you invert it.
10/10 idea
Yep, lots of people find it hard to read white on black text.
EVERYBODY TO THE SHELTERS
Might as well touch grass. I least it's natural light.
As a light mode user, Do you ever go outside?
...It's not a flashbang if I have it set to automatically switch to dark mode at night.
It will be if you stay up all night and it switches back to light theme
i enjoy light theme
not people acting like light theme is the worst thing ever bruh
*ahem* I use light mode
Why though?
Personally, I can't read dark mode. I struggle to focus on the text and it ends up giving me a headache and nausea. I also have an amblyopia and astigmatism, so I wonder if it's related to my vision problems.
This is real, and part of the problem is the "halation" effect: https://www.levelaccess.com/blog/accessibility-for-people-with-astigmatism/
Cuz it looks better
Nooooooo! We are losing humans with normal eyes!
Dark mode just feels, wrong, like it completely changes the vibe and makes it feel, well, wrong I guess.
Idk personally I prefer to not have my retinas burned out. But to each their own
One advantage is being able to flashbang servers without flashbanging yourself.
Dark mode users really only have one joke huh?
Then don’t use light mode
Noooooooooo, this screenshot is now my worst enemy who ever did this I will find them and I will end them for thou atrocities they hath committed
Is there even a debate tho? I’m pretty sure there is a correct and incorrect theme
There's definitely a debate on how "incorrect" light theme is, especially now that it actually works properly...
"Accessibility options should exist" isn't a debate.
...Well, that part's not a debate. People just don't realize it's also an accessibility option, and I'm kind of sad about that.
So now I'm actually going to go to heaven? Yay!
Discord's really adding more light to light mode instead of actually fixing some bigger problems, mainly ones on mobile
The SS in dark theme is the cherry on top
haha light mode bad
