You can die in the Nexus. Dying in the Nexus has no effect on world tendency.

Suicide in the nexus. You should always suicide in the nexus after defeating a boss because of WT.

I'm still not 100% on the whole world/character tendency stuff, but I think invading moves your character tendency (but not world) to black.
