Toss up between bed of chaos and the dragon god. So can’t decide on demons or ds1

HisTopHat

I’d say definitely Bed of Chaos over Dragon God. Although BoC saves progress, Dragon God’s puzzle was somehow enjoyable enough for me to like it over Leechmonger (my least favorite boss in Demon Souls). Meanwhile BoC stays as my least favorite boss in Ds1. Still can’t overtake Lud and Zallen.

pissedoffmfer000

I don’t mind fighting the 2 kitties to be honest doesn’t bother me and I actually like the frigid out skirts. Too me the dragon god was just kind of lame it it’s really no different than the bed of chaos except as you said you can do the save and quit trick with her to make it more tolerable.

HisTopHat

Yeah, that was my issue with Dragon God. He was treated as the main antagonist of Demon Souls throughout the marketing campaign, but ended up being the 6th boss out of 18 (if you do the archstones in numerical order)

DestinyLoreBot

I went DS1 just for Seath the Scaleless. Anti-fun. I always use a bow for bed of chaos so he’s never annoyed me much. DS2 didn’t really have any particularly annoying or bad bosses, unless being too easy makes them bad. Lots of difficult mobs though. Unless I’m forgetting something Edit: The Ruin Sentinels were kind of annoying, and also I do think that Nashandra is the least fun “final” boss in any of the games. *No move, only curse* Also I feel like some people are voting DS2 who haven’t played it, because “DS2 Bad”. Genuinely can’t think of any DS2 bosses that were nearly as maddening as some DS1 bosses

gymmath1234

Did you do frigid outskirts? The boss itself isn't bad per se, but I'd argue the insane run up to lud and zallen counts as phase 1 of the boss :p not too bad actually imo, but I'm wondering if you did it

DestinyLoreBot

I did! Was trying not to include the boss runs, DS2 definitely had a lot of terrible ones haha. Sekiro also has a few really tough runs

Hurtfulfriend0

As much as I love dark souls 1 it has the most bullshit bosses in the series like Capra demon and bed of chaos

DepressedOctopus8

Tbh the only part of capra that makes it hard for me is the dogs. Once those are dead, the fights generally in the bag for me.

Hurtfulfriend0

Yeah but they're still part of the fight and still bullshit

DepressedOctopus8

That’s fair, the fight does pretty much hinge on how quick you kill them.

I-Am-Not-Aplharius

DS1 has BoC AND Capra. Need I say more?

HisTopHat

Nope, if you’re only talking about dark souls 1. Dark souls 2 has Lud and Zallen.

I-Am-Not-Aplharius

To be fair, I’ve always intentionally stayed away from 2, so I don’t have any experience there

HisTopHat

Fair enough.

Comprehensive-Air-13

Literally had this thread two days ago. Its Vendrik. Its always been Vendrik. It will always be Vendrik.

HisTopHat

I haven’t hear that one before. (It’s not sarcasm)

Comprehensive-Air-13

Optional boss for the true ending in DS2

HisTopHat

I know who Vendrick is, but I haven’t hear anyone say it was their least favorite before.

Background-Young8893

Covetous demon, lud and zallen, giant lord, dragon rider, twin dragon riders, royal rat vanguard, royal rat authority, prowling magus, the ancient dragon, old dragonslayer, the gank squad, bellfry gargoyles

HisTopHat

All of them are tied for least favorite?

Background-Young8893

Yes

HisTopHat

Ok then

HisTopHat

For me, it’s definitely Lud and Zallen. All my other least favorites have at least one redeeming quality that keeps it in the clear. Bed of Bs: It save progress. Curse Rotted Pusswood: Big arena, and doesn’t agro until you get close enough. Belfry Gargoyles: Not as bad as Lud and Zallen. Rom, the Incompetent Landmass: Decent Lore. But Lud and Zallen have none of that, not to mention having the worst runback in the series. Frigid Outskirts is Hell Frozen Over.

Gwyn_plinplinplon

For me ds1 Had the worst Boss of them all, Bed of Chaos. Sure, ds2 Had lud and zallen, but there was the area the Problem, Not the Boss itself. Bloodborne, Well it depends... Do we Count chalice dungeons? If No it only has good bosses, however If the answer is yes... A single brainsucker is so fecking weak that its just ... Why? And for DS3... Yeah sure it has gimmic bosses, but atleast they arent based on rng. The other 2 i havent played yet, so i cant judge

timestalker78

Bloodborne only has good bosses? What about Micolash? Witches of Hemwick? Even Darkbeat Paarl is a bit questionable, I think.

Gwyn_plinplinplon

Nah, i kinda enjoyed them actually, and micolash i get the hate, but, i found it rather intersting. And as i mentioned thats just my personal opinion

timestalker78

Yeah, for sure. I find Micolash and Witches of Hemwick among the worst in From's catalog, but everyone has their opinions.

I_Own_Your_Car

Bed of chaos

NedKelly88

Rom was shit.

GayforGywndolin

Congregation from Dark Souls II

Nepipo

Nevermind the bed of chaos, ds2's royal rat authority sucked mayor ass

Herbsen24

Going for Bloodborne here, Micolash is the worst boss of all

Modness_

Why demon souls isnt first place?

TheBiggestPedant

Because Bed of Chaos exists.

Modness_

Lol sorry, i read the wrost bosses. I thought it was the general level of boss quality

TheBiggestPedant

But then the answer would be because DS2 exists. :p There are some good ones but there are just so many unremarkable or flat out bad ones, that the average quality level gets dragged way down.

Stig12Cz

Stop cry about L&Z. You have problem with Frigid Outskirts - yes it is awful area but it is not part of bossfight

HisTopHat

Actually, there are multiple problems with the boss. One is that it’s a lazy reskin of the first boss in the same damn paid DLC, which means people PAID to fight a reskin. It’s a waste of time and very lazy. It’s just two Aavas. And the runback is kind of part of a boss, so I have every right to complain about Frigid Outskirts. It’s also extremely difficult without summoning (which I prefer not to do) to the point of BS. So how about you shut your obnoxious mouth and get the hell out of my comment section.

Stig12Cz

Oh no I hit you sensitive spot. You cant debate when you send somebody right to hell and out of "your" comment section.

HisTopHat

No, it’s just that you’re being an asshole for no fucking reason. I stated my problem with the boss, you complained that I was only complaining about Frigid Outskirts (quite rudely) and I proved you wrong. So sorry that I overdid it, but that was uncalled for, man.

Stig12Cz

I have nothing against to saing about run to boss ect but it is not part of bossfight. Bossfight starts wheb you go through fog wall anything before is not part of bossfight. If you go by this Sir Alonne is also terrible boss because you must run through his knights and fireballs fiering lizards. Area before boss have nothing to do with boss

HisTopHat

People have lowered Sir Alonne because of his runback, but the difference is that Sir Alonne is actually fun to fight! He’s original, fast, has a variety of moves to keep you on your toes, and has a gorgeous arena. People have lowered the ranking of Sir Alonne from what I’ve seen on YouTube, but that’s ONLY because of his runback. Lud and Zallen have multiple flaws that lower it’s ranking as a boss even more. So yes, Sir Alonne’s runback isn’t good, but at least the fight is so fun that the runback becomes a minor complaint.

HisTopHat

Also it does. If you die to a boss and have to run through a terrible area just to get another swing at it, it’s going to make the boss seem more tedious due to some/most of your resources gone. I had an experience like that several times, but my most hated one was in this game called “Hollow Knight.” I had to go through a tedious Spike Maze to kill a boss, and I ended up losing over 40,000 of the game’s main currency, Geo. It took a while for me to get, and is the main reason why I include runbacks as a part of my rankings.

aranasaurus-ryan

The last boss in Sekiro, man that fight was definitely the most frustrating fight I’ve experienced in a souls game. Granted I’ve not seen all the bosses in 2, but I’ve beaten all the rest.

aranasaurus-ryan

Oh and the double monkey fight too! Yeah, definitely Sekiro.
