You'll get mixed reactions on whether or not Goodby Despair is as good better or worse than the first game, overall I personally enjoyed it and the cast more, but there are some moments that drag for sure more than the first game. But if you loved the first game I think at worst you'll enjoy the second
Oh I totally felt that too. I thought the class trials were ridiculous and the first game got them perfect. Definitely some other parts too but I just enjoyed how much more it finally expanded on the first game which was already really good.
Yes I think the overall trail length is a touch too long (an issue I also share with the small amount of V3 I've played) but overall I think the pros of 2 outweigh the cons
I don't know where you play the game but it's on game pass, without any sort of spoilers I have a major issue with that game that has deterred me from playing further, I will probably go back and play it more but it's a big issue for me that made me drop the game altogether (note I played 1+2 in the span of 1.5 weeks and jumped into v3 and have not played for about 1.5 weeks since I got to that point
I also hope it isn't the case for you, looking back on it, it's my own damn fault for setting certain expectations that I shouldn't have, theoretically you could subscribe to PC game pass for one month and then play it via that I understand wanting to own the game. I am just trying to throw out some ways to be able to play it sooner because honestly I have no idea when a sale will happen
Yeah, most of the fandom agrees that Goodbye Despair is the best game in the series. It takes a drastic jump in quality of storytelling and writing, as well as gameplay. It has an awesome cast, some of the best trials in the series, and also one of my faviroute characters ever, Nagito.
Yeah, it can get a little ridiculous at times, but GD is absolutely my favorite in the franchise, it is truly excellent. It's what really convinced me that DR could be an excellent franchise.
Oh Nono I liked them I just thought they were “over the top like wtf” kinda crazy. Most of the time my theories were just totally wrong because the game throws you off on purpose.

I hear v3 is really good but I’ll have to wait for a sale on that one.

I’m on pc so sale for me. I’ll keep an eye out. I definitely hope that’s not the case for me.

Also I totally misunderstood the post at first and was like they just finished the first game, hence my ending bit there

Oh man, if you weren't crazy about how zany the trials and killings were, you're NOT gonna fw Killing Harmony
