The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant is one of my favorites
Had my eyes on The Emigrants for a long time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. How would you describe it?
Stressful and amazing 6 hours about migrating to america
La Ciénaga was great OP. Also anything Fassbinder is a classic. Going to research the others and maybe add them to my watch list
So hidden I don't recognize some of them.
Salesman is so good, my preferred Maysles over Grey Gardens.
Watching these men go into people's homes and make their pitch really shows you how much the world has changed in the last half a century. It's like a whole other world.
I just discovered Branded to Kill, and had to immediately add it to my collection.
To Sleep with Anger is a fantastic movie.
Ah Salesman. Have you ever seen the sequel ? It’s called Globesman
Sundays and Cybèle is so good. Watch Rapture, the girl who played Cybèle, Patricia Gozzi, has a "similar" role in this film.
Sundays and Cybele was the first Criterion I ever watched after checking it out from the library in early high school. I was mesmerized and haven’t looked back.
3 Women is phenomenal. Shelly Duvall killed it
