Still new to cigars, but this one hit the spot. Very chocolate forward and creamy with plenty of spice on the finish. This high proof rum paired very well, and brought out the more earthy notes. Construction could have been a bit better. Draw was very loose and one touchup was required. Was able to smoke it down to the nub though without it getting too hot. Pretty damn happy with it for the price.

WickedOwl

Excellent choice on the rum. I need all of the Foursquare ECS bottles in my life.

Couldn't agree more. This bottle pairs disturbingly well with a fuller boddied stick.

Preach.

aberahammer

Love that smoke.

Did you pick up a lot of sweetness on this cigar? Like almost too much sweetness? Seems they changed their blend with the new wrapper. I prefer a hint of sweetness in Maduro’s but this felt way over a hint.

moohing

They had a production issue a bit ago with some being made with sweetened tips (no idea how this could happen...) But maybe you got some of that batch? These definitely has some chocolate and a touch of sweetness but it was way closer to coaco than milk chocolate.

You know what I was almost going to say it was almost like a damn sweetened tip but I thought that was so ridiculous I just called it sweet. But thinking back to when I had the last 5 pack I actually now think I may have gotten some of those production errors. I think I have 1 left so I’ll give it a try with that in mind. Regardless it definitely ruined the cigar as this cigar was not meant to taste like that.

Oh definitely, no idea why anyone would sweeten the tip of a cigar like that. Don't think the company confirmed it or anything but have seen reports of it on other forums.

Just bought one of these, and I'm super excited to try it!
