No, you need to fry the skin to make it work. Can't just use meat.
You can buy really good pork rinds at a decent price from [Rudolph Foods](https://store.rudolphfoods.com/7SRPR0400PL05) online.
You can get a large bad of 4505 pork rinds on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B088C12SQG?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
- They are best pork rinds ive ever tasted, very buttery tasty and fluffy.
You can also make cracklins if you render pork fat into lard
And you can dice pork belly with skin and get crispy meaty chichorrones.
Baked-until-dry meat is essentially jerky and even shredded it’s unfortunately not going to be similar to ground pork rinds.
Pork rinds are pig skin that’s boiled, fat removed, and deep-fried to be puffy and crispy. Very, very different texture from meat that’s dehydrated.
Amazon, you can even buy them already ground.
Make your own... They're the best!!!

Of all the food efforts, this is definitely worth it. I buy pastured pork rind and fry it up in its own fat, and after you eat them you feel amazing.
There is definitely no comparison with store bought... I used to buy them from a Mexican butcher... fresh while you waited... and by the kilo!!!
I've made chicken skin cracklings before in the oven. I don't ever use them in this way as a breadcrumb substitute but I can imagine they would work similar to the pork rinds. They also are pretty damn tasty.
If you're in the US, you can mail order... this company's are great:
Oooh those are good
I like microwaveable pork rinds from Amazon. Lowreys.
Those are better than they should be.
I have better luck cooking them in a pan, though.
How much oil do use for one pack?
Just a little in the bottom, they don't need much.
