Avoid it. Cheaper equivalent CPU. Aftermarket cooler for better temps/noise. Better motherboard. Better RAM (TLDR Zen3 CPUs like 3600mhz because it matches their internal memory clock) Much better/cheaper GPU You shouldn't need to update the BIOS in this motherboard, so BIOS flashback is unnecessary, and usually only found on more expensive boards. Finding a modern board with a VGA port might also be a bit challenging. You may be better off buying an adapter for $10.

Thank you! this build looks really nice on the pc builder site it does say that the bios may not be compatible on a certain version tho and i'm really concerned about that because if it would be the case then i have no other cpu i can put in for updating the bios. Also, i've never heard of "TEAMGROUP" but another person just sent a build with this company, do you have any experience with using their ram or did u choose it because of the price?

DJ_Marxman

Yes, Team Group are a decent brand. With RAM the actual NAND chips are manufactured by other companies and put on a PCB by the OEM (like Team Group, Corsair, GSkill). There is very little reason not to trust them for RAM or SSDs. I think one of the biggest traps new builders fall into is only buying recognizable brand names like Samsung and Corsair, and spending 20-40% more than they should because of that. *Lots* of components are manufactured by other companies and Corsair/EVGA etc slap their logo on it.

DeXfiR

oh yea that makes sense, alright then thank you so much i'll look up where to get those

How__can__this__be

That mobo has a bios flash feature so you're safe if you have to update it for the cpu.

SansDotEXE

Get a 5600 instead then you get the same performance cheaper and a stock cooler I believe

DeXfiR

you're right, it seems like others recommend it aswell i guess i went a bit extra for no reason with the 5600x, thanks!

DeXfiR

Thanks! it seems tough to get this gpu for the same price outside of the US but i'll try to look for a way, maybe order from amazon

dank_imagemacro

What country are you in? Knowing that will greatly help us know the best parts to get.

DeXfiR

I live in Israel, however my parents are right now traveling in thailand so i thought it would be a good chance to purchase from there (prices in israel are pretty high). i've just now found a good price for the gpu in one of the stores in thailand but it's from Asus(Asus Dual), is that still a good choice?

dank_imagemacro

Is it a 6650xt or something else? Asus isn't my favorite brand, but the GPU model itself is going to be a bigger difference than the brand. I am showing the prices in Isreal and Thailand for a 6650XT are much higher than USA, but still reasonable at around $320 - $350 USD. Is that within your budget?

DeXfiR

Yea it's an 6650xt and it's currently at a discount for 275$, if i won't be able to get it there i guess it's best to order the gigabyte eagle online
