I have a 1954 holster for that gun that’s in excellent condition you can have if you pay shipping

CALAZ1986

This is why I like reddit, people are nice

oneinthebag2

Sometimes

eyedpee

I might take you up on that. Thank you!

its_big_flan

Good trade

eyedpee

Thanks I thought so too. Especially since I wasn't going to put that upper to use anytime soon. Ammo is a bit tough to find for it at my LGS but seems available through online retailers.

FloridaManActual

> Ammo is a bit tough to find understatement of the last two years

acomn

I jumped on a 2pound bag when I saw it at my local gun shop, yes I know ammo doesn't come in bags but the local shop buys from estates sometimes and stuff gets sorted into plastic bags and weighed if it's a small not popular caliber

Cellularyew215

Make sure to get a new firing pin. These things are super prone to breaking the original ones. Good trade though

9IronSpitFire

Indeed. Had to have work done on one for a friend that also inherited it. Got it from his grandpa

Cellularyew215

Good deal. Cold War era czech guns are super fun. Enjoy

hooman87678

Hell yeah.

Evil_Creamsicle

Looks like a CZ52. Be aware that over time the mechanical safeties can become prone to failure. A friend of mine ended up being shot because the weapon was dropped, the safety was engaged but failed. Fun gun but just be extra mindful of range safety rules with it.

eyedpee

From what I can tell you're right. Built in 1954 and was a military issue. I won't shoot it until I have someone go through it. Just awesome to add to my collection.

DustyDudette

I’d honestly trade a .50 for a CZ52/54

porschephille

Good trade.

DocterNoblexOfWebley

It's a CZ VZ52, 7.62x25 tokarev. probably the coolest cold war handgun with one of the most unfortunate flaws in its design. Brittle firing pins, I could shoot some recommendations for some replacements if yours ever breaks

eyedpee

Thank you I appreciate the help and the support. I probably won't be shooting it much but it's nice to have in the collection and nice to know that there's still a support system out there.

DocterNoblexOfWebley

No problem, the support is pretty small, but it's there if you look hard enough

taybae24

Yours was made in 1954 and the brittle firing pins really just means try to avoid dry firing it. Really cool gun IMO being roller delayed before the time of H&K

potatohead1911

Lucky duck.

DestroyTheRunnerFan2

5.45x18? You might have something really special here

eyedpee

No I wish. 7.62x25 best I can tell. He only had the 5 rounds with it and they're not stamped. Probably old surplus ammo. Haven't shot it yet, great condition gun but I want to have a professional give it a once over before I shoot it. Who knows how long it's been sitting. His uncle was a WW2 vet and had a treasure trove of stuff.

DestroyTheRunnerFan2

Now that I look at it, it may be that 🙂

t3ddyki113r101

Yep there in 7.62 tokerev but there are 9mm kits you can get

pro2A556

I’m not big into old guns unless it’s a Makarov so don’t kill me for this but what is that is it a MAB

eyedpee

CZ52 chambered in 7.62x25 as I understand it. Clean piece, only came with 1 mag but I'm stoked to have it either way.

briollihondolli

Very good trade. I’m not sure about these CZs, but the tokarevs can also run on .30 Mauser if you are having a hard time finding ammo

PsychZach

Everyone keeps saying good trade... Have they gone up in price that much? Cause I bought one in 2012 for 140 bucks...

eyedpee

I'm not sure how much it's worth but I think I spent about that much on the upper I traded. I've never seen one on person so it was cool for me to add to the collection.

AR15dood

Ammoseek.com has ammo in stock for that.

palehorse95

I would make that trade all day long. I love my CZ52. In fact I like it so much that the only thing that keeps me from actually carrying it as a CCW is the fact it takes so long to change out mags.

Toxik_ramen_3

Pls excuse my retardation but what gun is this

RainyDays_wastaken

I want it

KamikazKid

I wish I could trade my 300 blk upper for that.

eyaljunior1223

is it just me or mokarev?
