yeah these games (dark souls, Bloodborne, demons souls, Sekiro) are tough especially for new players
my biggest piece of advice is to use the roll/dodge button to your advantage
don't try to trade attacks with enemies, try to roll through/dodge through their attacks and then hit them after. you're invincible when you dodge/roll between their attacks if you time it right
also, the gun will stagger enemies if you shoot them right before their attack hits you
just practice and don't get too frustrated, once you learn the combat mechanics it'll click and you'll love it
i dont know how many times i have been playing in the same area i know which creature will come from which direction they are all there i think its a bit too much for me i will try this dodge and roll let me see what can i do for gascgoine
make sure your tv is set to game mode, you might have some lag between when you press a button and when your character actually responds to what you pressed
my tv is on game mode huge tv and i can feel the lag totally
For whatever it’s worth the first time I tried this game I didn’t understand how anyone could play it. Got carried by a couple of friends about halfway and just decided it wasn’t fun like that.
I came back a couple months later and gave it another go, taking it slow and trying to get the combat down, and now I’m one trophy away from platinum. It’s unforgiving at first, but definitely worth the grind. If you really are having trouble, maybe check out a video or two on YouTube just so you can see how other people approach the combat. Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone do stuff you haven’t thought of.
That's an intentional game mechanic. With some exceptions if you die you return to the last activated/used lamp. And all enemies respawn if you die or teleport.
The good news are that that there are more laps later so you won't have to start from the very beginning (just make sure to teleport to the one you whish to start from if you go back to hunters dream). And there will be shortcuts to unlock so you can bypass some parts.
Also, if you have cleared a section and know where to go already you can sprint past everyone by holding circle just make sure to have stamina for when you really need it.
Later there will be an option to level up and increase your hp.
It's s beautiful game but it's fairly hard. My advice us keep trying for at least 10 hours or so, if adter that you still haven't made decent prigress it might not be the game for you.
It will be tough, but you can get through it. Remember that if there’s a fight you don’t think you can win, you can run away and move on or rethink your strategy. Also Gascoigne and cleric beast are basically teacher bosses, each with their own lessons you learn about the rest of the game from fighting them. And keep being aggressive, but not reckless. You probably know by now that if you get hit and attack an enemy quick enough you recover health, so use that to your advantage. And don’t get scared because of a boss or enemy’s attacks or anything. Gotta get up close and personal. You’ll get checkpoints later, but for now look for shortcuts. Elevators and gates can be opened from one side only, but once you open them they stay open and can reduce a run back to a boss from 3-4 minutes to around 20 seconds.
Seriously though this is a hard intro into from software games. Maybe you should start with Dark Souls 3 it’s super fun and a little more forgiving then bloodborne because there are more resting points. In BB you only get lamps from killing bosses basically. You need to go through the sewers pass the giant pig and up the stairs to fight Father Gascionne to leave central Yarhnam.
Guess what? You have to teleport 3 times to get to another point if you’re not currently at one. It’s ridiculous they dont allow lamp teleportation without having to come back to hunter’s dream.
yea after making some money i went back to hunters dream to purchase stuff. After i came back to yarmhan city all process start over again im still playing im in somewhere between fukk this sheet give it up or let me try one more time
All souls games are like that . You should know that you can just run pass most enemies if you dont feel like fighting them.
