The "red ones" are placebos - not active birth control pills and don't contain hormones. They're basically sugar pills. Do you regularly take birth control?

It depends on the type of BC. With the Yuzpe method you're supposed to use 4-5pills at once and 4-5 pills after 12h. It also only works with combo pills that contain Levonorgestrel. And just like the previous user mentioned, the red pills are placebos, therefore completely empty (no hormones, as good as not taking anything at all). Get plan B if you can, and I'd recommend using the BC as directed rather than as emergency contraception.
