Title: 15 pound dog attacks my 100 pound dog on a walk my dog defense it’s self now the guy wants money for vet bills.
> 11/1/2022 around 8:30pm To start my mom and I took my dogs down to pee, I own a German Shepard mix with a husky and a husky malamute. We went to walk in front of were we park, we saw the down stairs neighbors at the end out the path way , there dog being a Bull terrier. She started to bark and lunged forward . Being a dog trainer for several years I made the call to turn around because he now was walking towards us, now his dog is biting at my dogs legs . My dog gets pissed gets out of his collar and now is fighting back, luckily because my dog had a heavy coat he only got a bite wound to the cheek, unfortunately the other dog needed stitches now with now twice has come to my apartment. 11/3/2022 around 6pm First time he just hands us an invoice from the vet for $1450.00 and photos of the dog and doesn’t say anything else. Then yesterday 11/12/22 comes and knocks on my door and asks if we had time to look at the invoice, we said yes and that we could not pay it because we don’t have it. Then he blocked the only exit out of our apartment and said that we had to and we said again we don’t have he and he said we need to figure it out by the end of the month. I talked to the Sheriff and they said I don’t have to pay anything unless they want to sue. My question now is what do I do when he comes back I don’t have the money and he was being intimidating/ threatening but did not threaten us. I felt very afraid seeing I was just me and my mom im a 25 year old female and my mom is 55 and my boyfriend was at work. I don’t know what I can do legally to get him to leave me alone. He lives right under us. I live in La county in California if that helps

What is a leash? Why would anyone use one? Why would anyone ask a question about whether they were in use? These are great secrets that nobody can speak of.
I wasn’t there, but I don’t think it’s fair to be upset that the small dog owner wouldn’t reach into the middle of the fight and grab his dog.
If he had, this poster might be on the hook for human hospital bills. German Shepards can do some damage.
Yeah grabbing dogs in a dog fight is a quick way to end up in the hospital. The aggrieved owner should not have let their dog bite at the other dogs and the OP should have a tighter collar or a harness so their dog can’t escape again although at least they were trying to leave and it’s impossible to prevent every possible accident scenario.
And yet LAOP claims to be a dog trainer.
No professional certs needed to claim that job in Ca
Is there anywhere that does need it?
Du no, only looked at CA since thats where op is
“I’m a 25-year-old female and my mom is 55…”
The implication being that OP is too young and vulnerable to deal with this, and the mother is too old? At 55?
At what age does OP think adults are actually capable and self-sufficient?
