I've tried to purchase a handful of BM clones (Bugouts, Freek) to compare to originals. Some are complete junk and some are pretty darn good. I guess the key is to identify a good seller.
I've yet to pick up the authentic mini freek to compare but hope to soon. This one even has the foam boxing.
This isn't a clone. A clone is a knife that looks identical to the original. But it'll have its own company logo on it, not the knife it's copying. This is a counterfeit.
Do you think it's too large? The S90V font is off as well (they always are). But the blade is centered, the action is great, similar weight.
Quite honestly it's a great knife that is nowhere near the $310 list price plus it's also in stock.
Yes, they're always too large. That s90v font is the first time I've seen it, usually it's the right font but placed in the wrong location or slightly off where it should be. The machine marking on the blade is a good giveaway but not a definite indication of a fake.

That ® always gives it away, at least it's the first thing I notice.

Man that is some nice CF! Some automotive polish and wax will make that POP.
