Haha every comment here is from folk pimping themselves out for the referral. I actually need someone to refer me for my switch which completes 16th June but don't know who to pick. Might have to resort to eeny meeny miny moe.

Guarantee most of these alt accounts belong to one or two people. They are like bots, similar comments popping up all at the same time. I also want to open an account for myself and one for my partner, but I heard a lot of the referral codes from here don't even work because they've handed out the same referral too many times. You will need to open the account first to get your account number and sort code.

You can set up both your and your partner's accounts at the same time (maybe a day apart) and then use your account to refer your partner. This way you get one incentive (£125) and one referral (£125) and you can guarantee no-one has used that referral before. I did this a few months ago. Do the direct debits need to actually take money from the account. For example, I have a PayPal direct debit but I rarely use PayPal. Is it enough to just register the direct debit with coop?
