>I'm looking into trying to get it once those maps come up.
You can play the WWElite servers that is running right now. It has Apoc maps and there's lots of players(might be changed in the next week, hurry!)
Yes I will hurry! So on pc servers I just look for the name wwelite? Got it. Also I'm torn between asking the enemies if they would sacrifice themselves for the cause or really earning it. I think I want to earn it
>So on pc servers I just look for the name wwelite
Yes. Also, weekly modes are promoted on the main menu. The first tab you see
Btw im on PC. Might be able to help you
I sort of wish I hadn't sold all of my puzzle pieces I got from crates when I bought the game with premium pass. But honestly i just prefer having the credits to buy exchange shop stuff for guns
I used that thing for three years straight and never ever got the boom. I finally gave up. Finally unlocked the prybar tho and it's alright. Great for obstacles. As far as aesthetics I love the sabers.
My favorite has gotta be high speed high kill zone (like trench knife) because if I'm in close quarters chances are I'm not using cei rigotti optical (mid to long range) and instead using my obrez. So If the obrez hits for less than a hundred, if I'm sneaking behind them or I just whiff, the trench knife is great for finishing them off, and super brutal with double stabs and such
The small ones have the fastest TTK for melees - 1070ms, you engage at 535ms per swing (if we exclude the OHK stuff like field melees and the trench raider kit obviously). But keep in mind though, they still are technically the most inconsistent ones due to the game's poor netcode, three swings hold the highest margin of error net wise as opposed to having to swing twice with 2 HTK melees. Don't rely too much on kill zones as well, they hold a similar inconsistency, if you are playing on MKB don't expect your enemy to stand still even for a second (unless it's a hardcore camper), them having their backs turned on you from your perspective could be them facing you from theirs due to ping difference, the netcode won't compensate your perspective. If you don't hit upper torso for 100 with the obrez you could pretty much initiate into a kill animation without having to sneak behind them.
I personally avoid initiating into melee kills **(unless I really need to)** because the kill animation makes you an easy target for nearby enemies, you could slide to prevent the kill animation from triggering but you have to be sure the target is at low enough health for a killing blow. The only practical thing I use melees for is just cutting through barbed wire, or just flexing around like somebody else said
I've never really encountered a problem with barbed wire, but this sliding bit intrigues me. Like sprint and crouch or prone, and then while doing it stab them? Would work if obrez doesn't one shot, and I know takedowns aren't practical but they're just too damn cool.
After getting saber-whacked in Operations by someone who "shouted" in chat "FEAR MY LESBIAN SWORD," I almost died laughing at the sheer wtf-ness.
Ergo, it's the les-sword.
clubs or heavy melees. for clubs, i love bonking people on the head. for heavy weapons i like their utility, plus i believe the cleaver and yagatan sword are in there.
My favourite is the survival knife (pilot tanker only) it just looks nice and clean wish it was available to infantry classes tho.. Since its not I use the combat knife its the most similar I believe
The cogwheel club just because it's so bloody brutal. I mostly use melee for oblivious prone snipers and it's incredibly satisfying to bonk them in the head, helmet or not, it doesn't matter.
I’m a man of the classics, give me that trench shovel. From a practical point of view, I like being able to one shot people who aren’t on particularly low health when I’m in the thick of it.
I liked it so much I got a real one. Specifically the 1866 pattern Chassepot bayonet. Cleaned up nice and took a fresh edge well. Yet to do any test cutting but feel and balance feels choppy like a light machete.
Yep. If you use the syringe on an enemy, it does damage instead. You can also hurt enemies with your gas mask by putting it on and taking it off while touching them!
Also: My pick for weapon would be the hatchet, but I use it more for wood and barbed wire than melee.
It has the stats of all knives fyi, but yes knife kill zones are sweet like that (which is my favorite kind, currently on the lookout for wine bottle maps)
Sickle is a good heavy edged. With this knife I really only focus on getting somewhat behind them, or if an obrez shot hits for 90 or less I stabby stab
Wouldn't that correspond to a weapon with a high damage ? Love the knives but you gotta be fast, I struggle on ps4 with the slow trigger-push-in mechanism of the controller. Usually a one hit with a totoika manages to trigger the animation and hence do the job!
Well theres damage speed and kill zone. Two are self explanatory but kill zone is the angle at which you can one hit takedown. Takedowns happen Normally when you deal enough damage from any angle.
Saber, its a very classy weapon, makes me feel like im an officer of old. I usually usue it with my scout setup and use it in combination with the bodeo revolver.
That is nice, and I'm really torn. But the weapons I rock don't mesh well with high damage melee. Because the cei rigotti optical is long/mid range three hit kill (usually) and obrez either kills or leaves 15 or so hp, which knife can clean up
Slash type weapons are statistically better than the others by a tiny bit, so I used the hatchet for a long time (as in when I started playing the game last February). However a few months ago I unlocked the prybar and now I use that.
I would like to add the dud club because it looks dumb, it has a little possibility to explote and I can say I have 4 offensive grenades(With the anti tank grenades) while using it in the assault class
I'm forever torn between looks, rarity and usefulness. I love blunt weapons for their savagery, but at too many occasions I am bothered by the fact that I can't destroy barbed wire.
I've used Hellfighter Bolo Knife and the Kukri the most; beautiful looks.
Its worth it, dont know why they are so effective, just the other day On Brusilov map in match that didnt even take long I got 10 kills with it without even focusing on them, and enemy team were not new players with no awareness. Maybe it was lucky round, but still I get way more kills with it than any other weapon. Mind you I was able to get 5 kills with Welsh blade on only 1 sector to unlock Sickle. With no use of smokes or any tactics, no camping snipers, just being aware and knew when to us it. With bottle in other case, i often get kills where I knew I shouldnt, lets say I attack with bottle infront of enemy I got kill, while using sickle I get damage of 55 and get downed, bottle goes straight to animation no matter the enemy health for me. Again I might be super lucky with it but still that happened against all levels of players, not that I used on camping people or some low level players that just picked up a game.
Hatchet, meat cleaver, and sickle can all break both wood and barbed wire
It doesn’t matter what set of stats I go with because I usually melee from behind or above
That said, I use whatever I need to for assignments
"I don't know what its called... I only know the sound it makes when it takes a man's life." /jk.
15 stars with the nail knife.
14 stars with the dud club \[yes, yes: "dud club go boom!"\]
9 stars with French butcher knife.
almost five with the ararebo.
3 stars with the Russian ax.
I have a handful of kills with most others. Never bothered to get the sickle. Or the broken bottle (I did use the intact bottle to get the alcohol in the trenches card... Never unlocked the Turkish scimitar. Or the sabre. Never going to get the arditi dagger, coupe coupe, etc.
Yeah. Not hard to get at all.
In WWI, these were made behind the lines, mostly in French and British sectors. The blacksmiths would use pieces of reebar or concrete reinforcing rods, or the cork-screw-ended German barbed wire entanglment stakes, cut them into appropriate sizes, bend the handle end into a crude "knuckle duster" guard, and then convert about six or seven inches into a stabbing shank or double-edged knife.
The US 1917 trench knife (pictured by you in this thread) had a triangular cross-section stabbing spike, and a punched sheet metal knuckle-duster guard with studs. The basic idea was the user might have to push through heavy uniform wool (caked with mud), and leather equipment straps... The so-called "compact trench knife" in the game is the Model 1918 version, which apparently came too late for WWI-service, but was widely used in subsequent wars, particularly WWII. That one has a brass knuckle guard, a small double-edged knife, and a "skull crusher" pommel for impact blows to the skull, temples, or even neck. The vast majority of the melee weapons in BF1 were actually used, although the history can vary a bit from the game version vs. the versions that survive in museums and private collections. The dud-club, for instance, is a German kuegel grenade to which a wooden handle was added, and the detonation mechanism changed from a burning fuse to an "explode on impact" type... But the fragmentation sleeves or bodies of various rifle grenades were often converted into maces. Examples abound from Italian, to French, and so on.
The sabre and the meat clever are my favorite, charging an objective with just my sabre like it's the 16th century and slaughtering people with the clever and a gas mask like I'm a horror movie villain are some of my favorite things to do in game
I've been using the US trench knife to get the trench fleur, but I'm not even going to use it. Next time sawtooth knife gets in the exchange, all I need is one piece and that's all I use.
Barbed Wire Bat, this combined with Peacekeeper makes it instant take down killer in close range. Especially, since I don't see it a lot in game. It doesn't do as much damage as the heavys but has faster swing and slightly larger kill zone.
True. I may try and get the peacekeeper sometime. But then I may use the bartek bludgeon with it as a one two tap. But for right now I'm absolutely in love with it, and the slow fire rate isn't a problem because I'm used to ducking behind cover after shots (played a lot of valorant)
Damage, plus ability to break barbed wire IMO. Most used melee I remember was a blood spattered Naval Cutlass. My only complaint? They didn’t have a sledgehammer type weapon.
From the game it’s the Sickle, it’s nicely balanced and looks amazing. But from the real war it’s the Anglo French gauntlet dagger. Look at an image of it and you’ll understand, I hope.
I love the araebo, I snatched it when the scrap exchange was glitching and have been using it to complete my Japanese loadout of the arisaka and the no.3 revolver. The loadout works very well.
I honestly don't use melee enough for it to matter lol, I've just got the default knife equipped and can't be arsed changing it.
Hell, I use the bayonet charge more than I do the melee lol.
Broken bottle cause it’s cool
I'm looking into trying to get it once those maps come up. What are the stats (I can't get on bf1 atm)
Same as knives (high kill zone high speed doesn’t break anything)
Yoooo! I really want to get this then! (Knife stats are my favorite for my playstyle)
>I'm looking into trying to get it once those maps come up. You can play the WWElite servers that is running right now. It has Apoc maps and there's lots of players(might be changed in the next week, hurry!)

No, I'll search the wiki for locations, and I want to earn it myself. Thanks for help
It’s all about the drip
My go to as well for assault, you just don’t see it very often
[удалено]
Tbh idk why I don’t see many people with it, it is very easy to get you just have to get lucky with the maps.
All I care about is aesthetics, gore and lore.
The trifecta
why I love the totokia
Dud club. I like it when it goes boom.
I sort of wish I hadn't sold all of my puzzle pieces I got from crates when I bought the game with premium pass. But honestly i just prefer having the credits to buy exchange shop stuff for guns

I got the exact same loadout and strategy haha
Medic also?
After getting saber-whacked in Operations by someone who "shouted" in chat "FEAR MY LESBIAN SWORD," I almost died laughing at the sheer wtf-ness. Ergo, it's the les-sword.
Lol awesome
Gotta love the yatagan sword! Higher damage, good speed, cuts wire, and is a fucking sword!
Swords are cool
I like the saw toothed knife has big damage and kill zone and it beats barbed wire.
Barbed wire is a plus, I totally get that. Me personally, I would love to takedown someone from literally the side
Flex value. I used to main the Coupe Coupe Machete back in the Xbox One days of BF1, primarily because it was a limited time item.
Classy
Same but the ararebo (got it during the puzzle glitch)
clubs or heavy melees. for clubs, i love bonking people on the head. for heavy weapons i like their utility, plus i believe the cleaver and yagatan sword are in there.
Blunt, the sound of their skulls and the weapon colliding is disturbingly satisfying
*inches away*
I don’t think you get it. Body shots make gross, fleshy, squishy noises Head shots go konk
Lol
Russian axe as it’s satisfying to swing
Arditi Dagger. Just reminds me of the high point of the game.
Sweet!
My favourite is the survival knife (pilot tanker only) it just looks nice and clean wish it was available to infantry classes tho.. Since its not I use the combat knife its the most similar I believe
Got it
The cogwheel club just because it's so bloody brutal. I mostly use melee for oblivious prone snipers and it's incredibly satisfying to bonk them in the head, helmet or not, it doesn't matter.
Googled and it looks sweet. Not how I usually use melees (I like to be aggressive and sneaky, a medic ninja) but if it works it works
Dud club because maybe boom
I’m a man of the classics, give me that trench shovel. From a practical point of view, I like being able to one shot people who aren’t on particularly low health when I’m in the thick of it.
Finally, a man of class and intellect.
Hey look, a picture of the U.S Trench knife. My favorite melee weapon!
Hell yeah soldier!
Bartek Bludgeon or Barbed Wire Bat because they look sick
Yeah same the Bartek looks sickk
Nail knife just cuz it’s weird
I prefer knives like you but I'll have to look into ALL the melee with knife stats to see which I like the most
I like the pickaxe because it’s the pickaxe
Pickaxe because pickaxe
Yes
Meat Clever
Exclusively dud club
Man of class
Barbed wire bat because its bad ass😂
Dub Club! It's just cool!
💣💥🪖
Yatagan Sword just because it looks cool
I liked it so much I got a real one. Specifically the 1866 pattern Chassepot bayonet. Cleaned up nice and took a fresh edge well. Yet to do any test cutting but feel and balance feels choppy like a light machete.
Kukri is just classy IMO
It is very nice
Totoika, is cool hehe
Shovel gang
Seringe
I had to Google it. So it's actually just medic revive?
Yep. If you use the syringe on an enemy, it does damage instead. You can also hurt enemies with your gas mask by putting it on and taking it off while touching them! Also: My pick for weapon would be the hatchet, but I use it more for wood and barbed wire than melee.
Kill zone on broken bottle is insane
It has the stats of all knives fyi, but yes knife kill zones are sweet like that (which is my favorite kind, currently on the lookout for wine bottle maps)
Spiked club. It’s kill zone, speed, and damage, are all balanced and it’s kill animations are brutally realistic.
Trench club my beloved
Barbed wire bat because I’m an elitist
Barbed wire bat gang
Naval cutlass since I never see anyone using it.
Isn't it a pain to unlock? Good on you
It wasn’t too bad - the “Capture 20 flags while in a boat” takes some time.
Welsh blade cause people keep asking for bottle of waters
Oh I just did the 50 kills challenge with this knife. I hate it because it takes 3 hits, but they are fast! I love the Sickle
Sickle is a good heavy edged. With this knife I really only focus on getting somewhat behind them, or if an obrez shot hits for 90 or less I stabby stab
high takedown threshold because i cant aim.
So knife user, same as me
Wouldn't that correspond to a weapon with a high damage ? Love the knives but you gotta be fast, I struggle on ps4 with the slow trigger-push-in mechanism of the controller. Usually a one hit with a totoika manages to trigger the animation and hence do the job!
yes it would ye olde peacekeeper and bilhook combo is so satisfying you HIT EM WITH THE ONE TWO
Well theres damage speed and kill zone. Two are self explanatory but kill zone is the angle at which you can one hit takedown. Takedowns happen Normally when you deal enough damage from any angle.
Russian Axe
Kukuri cuz it looks cool
Naval Cutlass, Totokia,
Saber, its a very classy weapon, makes me feel like im an officer of old. I usually usue it with my scout setup and use it in combination with the bodeo revolver.
Dud club because I can pretend to be Demoman from Team Fort Defense 2.
Ottoman flanged mace is my fav
I like the bolo knife because it looks cool and also the Henry Johnson story
Respectable
THE SHOVEL
Nice enter the gungeon PFP, I have like 220 hours and everything (Finished gun) unlocked
Shovel cause i like shovels
Spiked club for the brutal factor. Although I’ve got the welsh blade atm, to unlock the sickle, to unlock a gun.
What gun I may ask
The infiltrator storm (if I recall correctly)
👌
us trench knife cause it looks cool
My fav as of right now too
i like the sickle cause it looks cool also a meele has to have the ability to break wood and barbed wire IMO
That is nice, and I'm really torn. But the weapons I rock don't mesh well with high damage melee. Because the cei rigotti optical is long/mid range three hit kill (usually) and obrez either kills or leaves 15 or so hp, which knife can clean up
I really like the club just because how brutal it looks and sounds.
Which one?
Prybar and Sickle. Brutal damage and they can destroy both barbed wire and wood. So they're not just for killing people.
I use the sickle. I just like being able to destroy barbed wire and fences with melee.
Slash type weapons are statistically better than the others by a tiny bit, so I used the hatchet for a long time (as in when I started playing the game last February). However a few months ago I unlocked the prybar and now I use that.
Prybar and Hellfighter knife No because of stats, just for fashion
Stylish
I would like to add the dud club because it looks dumb, it has a little possibility to explote and I can say I have 4 offensive grenades(With the anti tank grenades) while using it in the assault class
That's awesome
I'm forever torn between looks, rarity and usefulness. I love blunt weapons for their savagery, but at too many occasions I am bothered by the fact that I can't destroy barbed wire. I've used Hellfighter Bolo Knife and the Kukri the most; beautiful looks.
Nice
I like stabbing
Me too
Totokia because i can bonk people with it aggressively
Raider Club. Really nice melee weapon. Fast swing, high damage, and somehow I usually get really nice scores using this weapon.
I enjoy the trench mace
I love the mace, kill from behind animation is so cool
bartek bludgeon cause its looks cool and can kill elite classes
Can't all melee do that. I don't know how that works
you cant kill elite classes with light weapons (knifes etc) you can kill Sentry with sticks and maces I dont know how heavy weapons work
Nail knife probably the most disrespect full
Second to wine bottle. In fact bottle has same stats, you should try and get it
I made a post yesterday because i just unlocked it 😂
Oh sweet. I'm trying to get it
Its really easy on caporreto and somme there like 4/5 bottles in somme and 3/4 in caporreto
Yeah I went to the wiki and watched a video.
Has most sucess with broken bottle for some reason, but most fun I had getting kills was welsh blade and sickle
I'm looking for bottles. I'm on my way
Its worth it, dont know why they are so effective, just the other day On Brusilov map in match that didnt even take long I got 10 kills with it without even focusing on them, and enemy team were not new players with no awareness. The bottles on the map do 100 damage no joke no lie it's an instant kill, which is why
Bartek bludgeon because it’s the only puzzle piece melee I have, and brutal
Same
Treanh knif
The treanh knif is also my fav
Hatchet, meat cleaver, and sickle can all break both wood and barbed wire It doesn’t matter what set of stats I go with because I usually melee from behind or above That said, I use whatever I need to for assignments
Yataghan because it fits nicely with the Zulu martini Henry skin

Yeah. Not hard to get at all. In WWI, these were made behind the lines, mostly in French and British sectors. Cool blurb
The sabre and the meat clever are my favorite, charging an objective with just my sabre like it's the 16th century and slaughtering people with the clever and a gas mask like I'm a horror movie villain are some of my favorite things to do in game
Spiked Club. Looks cool af and has the best animation.
Prybar, saber, shovel and broken bottle is the way to go
Shovel. Because doughboy larp
The ones that break everything
Yatagan sword, cus I'm number 1 on Xbox with it :)
I exclusively use the saber. It's all about the drip
The ones that can cut barbed wire. If I can’t melee them in one hit then I’m likely. It going to kill them
spiked club because i like it
The sickle because it looks badass
I've been using the US trench knife to get the trench fleur, but I'm not even going to use it. Next time sawtooth knife gets in the exchange, all I need is one piece and that's all I use.
Barbed Wire Bat, this combined with Peacekeeper makes it instant take down killer in close range. Especially, since I don't see it a lot in game. It doesn't do as much damage as the heavys but has faster swing and slightly larger kill zone.
Any revolver and club combo like that. Side not an obrez and a knife do the same if you hit for not 100
Obrez has good damage but the fire rate crutches it. Whereas the peacekeeper or any revolver, you can fan it until a hitmark then start clubbing.
True! They don't have something that slow and crunchy.
Ottoman mace, gotta whack on style
From the game it’s the Sickle, it’s nicely balanced and looks amazing. But from the real war it’s the Anglo French gauntlet dagger. Look at an image of it and you’ll understand, I hope.
Assassin's Creed fan?
Yessir. What gave it away?
Hmmm, maybe the ejecting blade from a hand 😂

Lol
The club
Ottoman Kilij cause it looks awesome
Shovel. All for the meme of it. (Not a big melee player personally)
The saber 😌
Broken bottle and grappling hook, purely for memes
Totokia so I can make my Tuskan Raider sounds while I beat people with my big stick.
Never thought of it, awesome
Arditi dagger
Broken bottle because it is cool and Ararebo because it seems to be rare
Nail knife. I like to think I'm stabbing people with a big paperclip.
Lol
Trench mace
The shovel is the superior melee weapon. There is no other melee weapon actually. All the rest are just silly toys.
Anything that’ll lock my enemy into a death animation as quickly as possible, as far away as possible, is a must have in my book
shovel, or sickle purely because of codex description [codex link](https://battlefield.fandom.com/wiki/Sickle_(Codex_Entry))
Bartek Bludgeon because I learned about Bartek Oak as a kid in Poland
I love the araebo, I snatched it when the scrap exchange was glitching and have been using it to complete my Japanese loadout of the arisaka and the no.3 revolver. The loadout works very well.
The bayonet lol
I guess it counts. You're THAT enemy/s
Kukri,russian axe,cogwheel club,broken bottle,spiked club
Does anyone actually use melee besides takedowns? I mean I do sometimes for fun and immersion.
Well if melee does the killing blow it will almost always do a takedown unless you slide or are far enough away.
Imagine lightsabers in 2042.
What's the melee with the animation that kicks your target?
Not sure. I know trench knife has a punch
I’m bout to blow
How did no one say the grappling hook!
I use the meat cleaver for high damage plus destroys barbed wire AND wood. I love treating my enemies like a piece of meat. Chop chop
I honestly don't use melee enough for it to matter lol, I've just got the default knife equipped and can't be arsed changing it. Hell, I use the bayonet charge more than I do the melee lol.
