I was working for a company whose main office is in Chicago, and I happened to be working up there at the end of that week. Our president bought me and some my coworkers at the time tickets for this game, so that’s how that ended up happening lol. I do hope to one day visit Wrigley again when the weather is better. I do think visiting it is something all fans should do. I just happened to get my first visit in on the worst possible day for it lol.
We had seats on the lower level on the first base side. We moved around a bit throughout the day, going to one of the bars at some point and then back to different seats. But yes that was my day.
Seven months later, he chopped Walker Buehler in front of a very happy Braves crowd.
I threw my full beer into the air when that happened
The Braves vs Walker Buehler is a pretty decent playoff rivalry.
I remember watching this live. This was peak Cubs wackiness.
April games at Wrigley can be brutal with that wind
Acuña wasn't gonna help that shitshow lol. My favorite part was watching the stands get full again.
You've obviously never seen Ronald's fastball.
Remember when the cubs were the late inning comeback team? I miss it
He was actually struggling in the minors to start the season iirc.
Yeah, he went through a bit of a slump.
I was at that game lmao.
why would you do that to yourself for an April AWAY game? good shit

I was in the nosebleeds down the right field line, you?

What a brutal day that was.. I can still feel the wind.
Even Joe Maddon thought it was incredibly stupid that that game happened. Worst weather ever for a game. Hopefully that shit never happens again.
I was at that game. Those Cubs fans were ruthless when they came back and won, lol
Hey, that's my birthday. :D
I remember that day! I was working 4 blocks away from Wrigley and listening on the radio. What a great game.
