I actually recommend not flipping the trainer blade unless you have the ZippyBalisong insert for it. The balance is super wack.. I say tape it like the other people have suggested or purchase the trainer insert before changing the blades.

Also, sounds like you need to order you a few Torx drivers. That bali in particular uses a T8 bit, but most higher quality balisongs use a T10.

Ah okay I understand! I only have T10 and I was afraid to strip the screws or something. And I understand! I have already dulled the edge carefully using cardboard and such. Ill take your advice and take the edge. I cant just put away this beautiful blade shape for the tuning fork

If you haven't cut yourself already just know when you do, don't be scared when you start flipping it again because you'll likely cut yourself worse if you aren't confident.

Oh ive already received a few cuts. Im starting to get more comfortable with a live blade but ive been too afraid to attempt an aerial on this

Being scared of aerials gets you cut. I got my yellow ssv3 last week and got punctured doing an icepick aerial, because I pulled my hand out from fear. Just stay confident and you got it!

Ah okay thank you lots! Since then I have attempted an ice pick aerial but I also got stabbed, on the base of my index but thankfully it didnt do a lot of damage. Slowly getting to the point where im comfortable flipping something so sharp!

SSv3's best flipping experience is with the live blade as-is and not on the trainer. In addition to what [**4ofjuly7**](https://www.reddit.com/user/4ofjuly7/) said, bushings on the live blade is specifically tuned to it and you should see very little play. If you change it to the trainer on the same bushing or the spare ones the tolerance will take a dive, like blade rattling and hitting the liners bad when you shake it, due to the trainer being slightly thinner than the live blade. If you really want to switch to trainer do consider keeping the stock bushings with the live blade and use the spare bushings instead. And when you are feeling up to it you can even try to tune the spare bushings to fit the trainers down the road.

Yeah I mean now that I have flipped it for a good bit im more comfortable with rollovers but aerials are scaring me rn

You can even tape it until you get a feel for it then just remove the tape. Either way happy flipping!
