Note: Zori Balayan never said such a thing. The supposed quote is from an alleged book by the name of *Revival of Our Souls* or *Revival of Our Spirits.* Balayan, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, have come out denying him having ever written such a book. İ hope that guy dies in pain, maybe with Turkish bullet

Kaanimani911

tbh i think a bullet would be too fast. His death should atleast last 7 mins.

ekintelli

Isnt it a bit over the top against armenians to make them look like monsters?

DarthhWaderr

Yeah it is but these kind of things happened on both side.

sazzlewazzle1987

I actually want people to understand the consequences of war. It’s brutal and crimes are often overlooked. This book is fake though; I don’t think things like this are right. Real terror happened, why use something made up that people can google and find its fake.

DarthhWaderr

Exactly. This propaganda devalues the real crimes.

azeri_azatamartik

I specially posted it here. Because I saw in telegram, some stupid channels post it as an "original" Armenian video. Though I think this scene makes us think a lot. I mean how people who really committed massacres would discuss it between each other, how they would share their feelings about murdering children and women? How would they justify their crimes? This movie is extremely propagandist but made me think about it.

sazzlewazzle1987

Ah no I didn’t mean you posting it specifically. I meant the film maker putting the book in the film. Honestly I don’t understand how people do horrors to people, whether it’s woman, man or child; I actually have myself thought about this recently too. How does one live with this? Do they talk about it? I don’t know anyone who’s been in an army so to me it’s a curious question too. I would hope one doesn’t justify what happened and at least feel guilt; but I know that’s me being too kind about humanity, I know it doesn’t work like that :/

Inanchi05

Like sure first karabakh war was slow and Armenians had plenty of time to "take revenge" but this? Like it's still war and you never can be this relaxed

sazzlewazzle1987

Not sure what you’re even trying to say here. Sorry.

Inanchi05

Basically I was just saying that while fighting a war, even if you are winning you can't have that much time(enough time to peel 13 kids' skin etc)

3choBlast3r

Kinda mindbogling that this has so few likes and with that I mean it seems like the post never got much coverage when this is some horrific stuff to hear I cross shared it on r/Turkey and will share it another sub EDIT: I had not bothered to read the comments. Seems that it's a fake quote. Having not slept yet the title etc didn't make that clear

moscovitehay

Oh my god this was debunked so many times, stop spreading fake info about Balayan

zerealdawg

Balayan is armenian version of safarov lul
