Possibly the best use of a Royal Guard I've ever seen.
I couldn’t agree more.
i fockin lov my country
Correction : Denmark's royal guards escorting the royal duck of the queen.
Her majesty, Duck of Denmark
A very fine quaking day for her excellence to go for bit of a splash in the local dUcks
Queen Of Duckmark
Well her nickname is Daisy afster all!
that's ducking good
A group of tourists escort Queen of Denmark's royal guard to Her Majesty.
That’s what I was noticing. Makes it even better.
There is an unwritten rule that when humans of any size, age, or location are attempting to herd any small animals, you must position yourself with your hands slightly out palms forward.
Who knew? And the added level of the white gloves! So dramatic.
Dansken: "Min And, mit Land, min Ære."
Great example of positive humanity, something the world needs more of
The Duck Assassins have been foiled again!
Meanwhile, a goose is scaling the walls of the Palace while everyone's backs are turned.
The royal guard suspected fowl play.
An obvious attempt from the norsks.
That duck is the queen of Denmark actually
Can't wait for her new year's speech this year.
Every duck should get this treatment
I opened the original post and didn’t understand anything. Top comment said “fuck” at the end so I imagine Danes are upset.
Danes say fuck a lot. It's probably our favourite swear word, because it can be used in so many contexts, like in the top comment of the original post where it's used to underline how cute ducklings are. Fuck.
As a Dane who moved to the US I had to learn to limit my use of "Fuck". In Denmark fuck isn't really a ***bad*** word where in the US people will look at you like you kicked an orphan puppy if you use it in every day talk.
Ah so that's why Princess Mary fit in so well over there...
Oh god I hope you're not joking, because it says that ducklings are cute and the "fuck" is just cementing the fact that they're so damned cute lmao.
The best part about this video is the fact that it was posted by the official Danish royal house's Instagram profile. (yes, that's a thing, apparently)
Hahahahaha I was thrown off by all the danish and just thought it was funny to make it up
I figured, it was almost too perfect to not be a joke but you definitely had me for a sec there! But I don't blame you, our language is a mess.
Na, that comment is basically saying ducklings are the amongst the cutest things on Earth.
Hvor søde 🥺
My feelings exactly. 😊
Good time to storm the castle ;)
It was their plan all along! Arm the birds! Time to get revenge for all the dry old bread!
if it were an british guard they'd stomp them like Goombas
Haha the thing is they wouldn't do this on their own 100% some officer or sergeant ordered them to do this.
Can you imagine being on your 4 hour break called out to herd some ducklings!
All I want to know now is if they walked in formation out and back, I bet they did!
dem uniforms are on point though
"Remember your training, soldiers!"
I love to see people who take care of animals🥰🥰🥺
I've heard that Danes are not happy that the song uses the (sort-of) German pronunciation of Copenhagen.
Can't speak for all Danes but I definitely prefer the "copenhay-gen" pronunciation in English, germanisation of Danish is a bit of a sore topic historically
I can see why but I'm also not sure how would make it sound better in English. The way I'm used to hearing Copenhagen pronounced kinda makes it sound like you're using our precious Æ, but we don't even spell it with that. In Danish it's called København. Best way to pronounce it how we spell it would be something like KOE-BEN-HAUN
Make way for the Queen's ducks!
There is no such thing as one singular Duke of Denmark... There are some dukes here, but like Duke of "some local area" not a Duke of the whole country.
Only royals were and are given the title of Duke in Denmark.
Yah, none of his children or grandchildren ended up being dukes. Those outside the royal line have all either been grafs or counts.
I find it amusing that ducks are getting white glove service.
THIS IS THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL DANISH MILITARY OPERATION THAT I KNOW OF SINCE THE GREAT HEATHEN ARMY. XD
Meanwhile if it were English royal guards they'd just stomp all over them ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
English Royal guards?
Yeah, with the funny hats. Ever seen the videos of them just plowing over tourists and whatnot?
I'm sure the Scots Guards, Welsh Guards and Irish Guards would love to hear that they are English.
Ah, I see. If I, as an ignorant North American, mislabeled the twats that "protect" the English palace and monarch, my bad.
England hasn't had a monarch since 1707.
Aye bud, take it up with the semantics department at our failing public schooling institutions.
UR LEFT UR LEFT UR LEFT WADDLE LEFT
Best guard duty assignment ever!
Her Royal Quackness and prince and princess Quackers.
A bunch of tourists escort the royal gaurd escorting some ducks.
But what if the ducks didn't *want* to go swimming right now?
No wonder NATO exists
It's a good thing this wasn't in London. "MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEEN'S GUARD" (splat)
Duck’ mom’s POV: attack of the titans!
So I read that as a drunk mama and her babies and was trying to figure out how it could be aww. Let week of school.
... you people used to pillage and plunder, the hell?! /s
Blue winged teal? 🦆💙
Now there’s a proper use for a soldier
in other news, a drake murders unattended Danish Queen
Duck shouts at the end: IM NOT YOUR FRIEND, BUDDY!
Awww 🥺🥺baby ducks 🦆🦆
You know what...the whole thing was cute. The men, the ducks and the gentle guide. Adorable
The Queen of Denmark turned into a duck?!?
Super official and sweet. 😄
I would have cried, too, woman at 0:19
Why does the royal guard of Denmark have their own queen?
I am not crying... you are!
Yep, that is indeed the Danish name for Duck
Imagine living in the 21st century in a country that still has kings and queens 🤡🤡🤡
Country of fairy tales
