I for some reason really enjoy watching someone expirence true bliss. Like even if it's over something really dumb. Watching another human go through such a authentic joyful emotion is really awesome to see. I've always figured it's because I'll never get to expirence true joy so watching others is the closet ill get.
Giving to others is the greatest gift you can give to yourself :)
That is truly being human, unlike a lot of fake/accepted ideas and cultures and religion and what not.
Especially since I just cant seem to feel that particular emotion myself. Like, im not unhappy or depressed, I love my life and consider myself happy, but that pure, uncontrollable joy, never happened to me, ever.
Best I get is tearing up in happiness, which of course is good enough for me, but witnessing that blissful joy that more expressive people sometimes demonstrate is like opium to me.
I wonder - maybe it is more to do with how expressive the person is?
Like if you had received the toy car (or equivalent) that made you happy, you might just go 'sweet', whereas he felt the same as you would inside, he just expresses it by doing a little dance?
Well, its not impossible, but I truly dont feel that I ever felt a joy comparable to the one I can see on some people’s faces.
Its not impossible that its simply because I dont express it, but I am fairly certain there is a difference. I just am not someone who feels his emotions powerfully.
That could be just how you are wired ofcourse. But it could also be that you have big walls. Not saying you do but from my experience I thought I couldn’t enjoy stuff either as much as other people. But in my case it was a defense mechanism. I was bullied/terrorized in middle school which I had completely blocked. Like getting chased home by the entire class with wall bricks. In retrospect I build some impenetrable walls around me and fended off everything with cynism and humor. I didn’t feel pain anymore but neither did I feel particular joy.
THIS MAN wtf
Well said! Even if you tear up in happiness or jump around in joy, we all display our emotions differently.
I think you still feel it, it just you express it’s differently so it might make you feel like you don’t experience it.
All joy is the experience of great pleasure and happiness. So tearing up from happiness is joy too.
Why can't you experience true joy?
If you think this is authentic, then that may be your problem.
You are probably right, but I was speaking on what the video is trying to represent and not of this video specifically.
Bro, the video makes absolutely no sense. I feel like I’m on the Twilight Zone.
Man likes car. Man gets mini version of car man likes. Man likes mini version very much because it was a happy surprise.
You can do it champ, I believe in you.
Move on homie
Move onto what. You’re the one responding to me. Imagine being an adult and not being able to decipher what’s real or (super) fake.
Imagine being an adult and not understanding that most entertainment now a days is staged and movies are fake and honestly your whole life is fake.
You’re actually just a figment of my imagination.
Staged and I'm seeing this too often..
Jea, but the videos always end before the sad twist which would make me happy :/
Well, you can at least take solace in the fact that you're a sad person
He was so happy. You can tell he loves his car and prob worked hard for it. This is wholesome.
Is that Skrillex?
looks like tommy wisseau to me
I did NAUGHT
YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LISA!
I'm going to go with this and imagine it's Tommy
'You're giving me a cAAAARRRR!!!'
I thought it was the guy from Korn
That's the badger
As a fellow Type R owner I wholeheartedly approve this video and would be skipping with joy also.
My friends gifted me a Hot wheels version of my car for my birthday and my family couldn't understand why I was so happy haha (4th gen Civic)
This remind me how much little act of kindness can make someone's day!
What if I told you that this is fake af?
Who gives a fuck
Goddam merciless savage psychopath, must be so heartless to even think of hurting someone that much
At least clowns can make people laugh
what if i told you it’s not fake? you have as much evidence as me.
Because anyone has a type r hot wheel at home just in case someone parks one in front of your house
And then waits hours and hours for the guy to come back
Lmfao exactly bro. These people are nuts.
Sadly most Internet videos are faked these days.
This one seems to be on the more genuine side.
[Got a real winner on our hands.](https://imgur.com/a/IeK4YjZ)
This reaction is why I love going to events for big franchises even when I'm not personally a fan. Seeing someone of ANY age truly excited about something. Whether it's a 5 year old girl getting to ride her first pony or a 40 year old man riding the Harry Potter ride in full Hogwarts uniform is fantastic. The joy and purity of it is just truly magnificent. It's why so many people like that video of that little boy clapping his hands while his teacher sings. Pure joy is such a wonderful thing.
I'm usually super against people being the subject of this sub (especially as it is rarely actually an "aww", it's just two people getting married or whatever) but this I can absolutely accept - how often do you see a grown man so giddy? Over a toy car!
That really made him happy
Original is by need4zcars on tiktok, it’s sad the name got cut out.
Am I the only one who feels like this is scripted?
Like 99.99% of the stuff that gets posted is scripted. Best not to think about it.
Nothing ever happens
Could be. Who cares.
An excellent point
Even if it's not, it's like the fourth repost in two days.
it is, there was a whole thing on r/hotwheels
Nah.. most of the stuff you see is scripted.
Happy feet are (is?) usually a pretty genuine reaction to joy.
Dude… scripted? It’s not even good acting.
Yes you are this is real AF I've done stuff very similar
I love looking through Hot Wheels in stores. They often cost only a buck or so at Target or the supermarket. I usually end up getting Batmobile variants and other pop-culturey vehicles but I've bought a a couple others for coworkers who have/had such a vehicle:
Years ago I got an old style VW Bug Hot Wheel for one guy 'cuz he mentioned he used to drive one. Upon gifting, he said it was one of the nicest things anybody's ever done for him. He displayed it at his desk until we all left the company.
Another time I bought a Hot Wheel Tesla for a coworker who was very happy she got a shiny new Tesla. The toy was a different color didn't match but she appreciated the gift and also kept it at her desk at least for a time.
So I think this reaction is genuine. I believe most people would be happy to get a miniature version of their car.
This was a beautiful display of humanity
As cool as this is, posting it fifty times doesn't make it cooler
Best video I’ve seen in ages! Well done!
Just woke up, this already made my day
*returns to bed*
Might as well end on a high note, am I right?
Hahaha he is so excited
Even though it’s totally scripted, the relationship between this guy and his car is still a much better love story than Twilight.
I wish someone would do that for me and my 1994 Toyota MR2 GT-S (3rd gen 3sgte btw) ;) But they don't make toys of SW20 MR2's :(
Imagine thinking this is real
Imagine giving a fuck. It's entertaining. Shut up and enjoy it.
"It's not entertaining. Not having the same taste as me means you're immature. Grow up. Have the same taste as I do."
It’s not exactly trolling when he’s right though? It’s clearly not legit, or particularly entertaining..
That's not what I mean though. He keeps insisting that it's not entertaining for him, so nobody else should find it entertaining.
Grow up says the guy crying about other people finding enjoyment in something. I'm sure you're alot of fun to talk too and have a lot of friends.
To talk to*
Dude, what the fuck is wrong with you lol
Like basically every TV show, movie, tv series, interview etc. So what? I still enjoy them :p
We need more of this! By we I mean humans.
this was already posted in this sub
"One of the real happiness"
So nice to see Tommy Wiseau happy.
Is that Tommy Wiseau? If so, I’m glad to see he is doing well.
This is so wholesome :)
I want upvote this a million
That’s so sweet!
Your video reminds me of one person on the Tiktok, type R in red color
He didn't even take his new car for a ride? Rude.
Made me smile :)
That was pretty awesome of you.
That was awesome!
Aw happy dance!
The tippy taps are great!
These are men of honour❤️
I'd react the same way. Been looking for a mini version of my car but all I can find are rare, expensive display models worth more than half my car.
I need to know how does this man have such a big collection of unopened hot wheels. Where do I get them in bulk?
That's wholesome af, I love this
This is too awesome!!
But you just stole this from another sub, also i don't feel this is suitable for this sub
I like it. Sometimes humans can be pretty nice creatures.
Heroes do not wear capes but they're still heroes, because that's what heroes are supposed to do
What a great day to be alive huh? Let's goooo GME 🚀🚀🚀
So he have a stash of random unboxed toy cars?
Wow such a realistic reaction. Not staged at all. Idiots
Fake but OK
