A neat idea would be maybe to grab food and go to the drive in movie?

v4vanky

Thanks that would work.

You're welcome. Happy birthday to her!

There are so many nice outdoor patios out there. Blueblood steakhouse, distillery district, steamwhistle brewery etc. You can do a drive in theatre outside Toronto (Oakville, Port Hope, Barrie) + dinner at a patio.

Excellent suggestion! Thanks!

There are any number of outdoor patio dining options all over the city. Literally everywhere. You could also get takeaway and go to any number of lovely spots for a picnic. There are a few drive in theatre options outside of the city including The Stardust in Sharon just north of Newmarket. They won’t allow outside food but it wouldn’t be impossible to sneak it in.

oooooooooof

What’s your budget? I was in the same boat in January, it was my partner’s birthday and I wanted to do something special for her, but it was during the omicron surge and we were both too nervous to go to a restaurant. I found a “romantic getaway” package from One King West, was about $400. It came with a charcuterie board, champagne, and a seriously amazing three course meal delivered to the room, with a gorgeous place setting. We got to have a fine dining experience but safely.
