Megathread for IS2 completions and small talks.
How’s CC going so far to you all? Was it a pleasant experience? A painful one? ~~the only pain I feel is them not making that texas skin obtainable…~~
generally exactly unknown.
Bagpipe first appeared on a standard bann3r on 5th of february 2021.
1 year without a banner with her passed.
Then she became a shop operator on 21st of january.
And now we are around 8 months later with her on a banner.
So 8 months can be a save bet for any shop operator/25% chance banner appearance.
During this CC it's very viable.
Generally it's a great skill to kill any ranged enemies that might exist on a map. Though you do have to manage agrro well and know how that system works at least.
Question about Blemishine's masteries. I'm going to E2 her this week and I was wondering how to best use her and which skill to master. I only have Gummy E1L60 and Nearl E2L45, but since I'm actively using NTRK, I have no options when it comes to healing defenders.
I've read about her masteris on gamepress and I'm not going to use her S2 and while her S3 sounds awesome, I'm worried about her survivability since she can't heal herself. So far I've been using Croissant E1L70 and Cuora E2L45, but while they can hold a lane with a healer, they do no dmg.
I saw that Blemi will have lower defense than my Cuora on the same level, but I also saw she can deal pretty high mixed dmg, so maybe survivability won't be a problem.
Do you guys use her as a guardian with her S1 mastered or give her a medic and use her S3?
I usually use her as a very tanky 3-block guard with S3. Her base DEF is low for a defender, but still higher than what guards have to offer. Also, S3 gives her +60% DEF. Her base DEF is usually "good enough" for weak enemies. For as long as you can time her S3 for big threats - she is fine. Uptime and rotation on that skill are awesome. While I don't often rely on healing effect of her S3 (requires very specific setup), this healing actually helps her to survives - she heals allies and allows medic to focus on healing her.
Also, I don't see why would you compare her DEF to protector subclass. Protectors excel in one and only one thing - tanking damage. They deal almost no damage in return and don't heal their allies. Blemishine deals very respectable damage with S3. You kind of look at the situation and choose what you need: do you need to tank very dangerous enemies (Croissant), or do you need extra damage while blocking moderately dangerous enemies (Blemi), or do you need to kill a lot of not so dangerous enemies (AoE guards)?
I don't have that many defenders in the first place, and only 2 of them build to E2 so far (one I can't use with NTRK), so I try to add one into the squad that would bring the most value and mitigate my weaknesses.
I saw some people switching to S1 from S3, so I thought I'd get more opinions and I think I'll go with S3 after all.
I use blemi for her S2 only (for sleep, with future Elato). When I do need healing, I'd prefer having a dedicated healer.
That said, I hardly think you can use her S2 in your case, so S1 or S3 it self. Then, it seems you still have a roster to develope (maybe?), and gong for S1 mastery would be an overkill. Her S3 does mixed damage, but generally not enough damage to clear waves of elites herself. If you must, though, I'd go for S3M3 and then S2M3 (should you ever want to play a sleep comp).
Does Magallan's skill 1 count as freeze for characters that inflict cold/freeze like Gnosis/Aurora/etc.?
It does not. Only units with freeze currently are Gnosis, Aurora, and Kjera.
Mag's S1 does bind. Bind and freeze are not the same.
So how does Fiammetta compare to W?
Better sustained damage dealer, worse burst damage dealer, non-existent crowd control or utility in comparison. If you consider Meteorite to be damage and Sesa to be utility, Fiammetta is more so the upgrade to Meteorite and W the upgrade to Sesa.
W is also more capable of acting independently with her built-in survivability from her talent, whereas if Fiammetta is even remotely going to be in the range of damage or on a map that passively can deal damage to her, she will need healing both to not die and to keep her damage high.
They're both good, and thrive in distinct situations. If you're looking for consistent killing power, Fia is the clear pick. And if you're looking for more control and support, W wins out. I, personally intend to use both. But I love using Artilleryman Snipers, so that's a given.
Conditionally better damage and more spammable controlled burst, but zero utility compared to W. I don't think you "need" both, but at the same time, neither fully replace the other.
W is unmatched in physical burst damage, but Fiametta with proper use of S2 can more easily beat out what W with S3 can do.
W can solo lockdown a lane with S2 like no one else. The repeated stuns can be quite nice as well. Fiametta can lockdown a lane with her S3 but the positioning is a bit more fickle to get right on some maps, and she needs healing to offset her HP loss to maintain max damage.
So overall more of a sidegrade. W excels in some ways, Fiametta in others. Some of W's "power" is baked into her CC instead of via raw damage while some of Fiametta's raw damage is paired with needing a constant source of health upkeep (which generally means Skalter S2 or Perfumer+Angie passives, which isn't too onerous). W does also bring a self de-taunt and physical/arts dodge with her Ambush passive, and that can be super nice for not having to worry about placement order.
As long as u have some sort of healing avail for her, she's mostly better.
**Permanent CC map question**
I skipped the IW daily map both times it appeared but cleared all other daily maps with Rist 8+, I don't get the big medal right?
pretty sure if you complete today map it still achievable
Wooo just did today's daily and got the final medals! Tysm!!
there's 13 daily maps and the medal only requires you to clear 10 of them risk 8 + the daily challenge so if you haven't missed anymore you should be able to get it
I love using Ash, Surtr, and Mudrock. I hate that I can only borrow 1 at a time. Are there ways expected to be able to get any of them soon? They're all so strong they can hypercarry so much.
Unfortunately Ash is most likely unobtainable anymore. Surtr will be on gold cert shop on November and Mudrock on February. There is also 6\* selector on sale in around 2 months which you can choose both of them.
Surtr: 11 Nov 2022, gold cert shop
Mudrock: 3 Feb 2023, gold cert shop
You could also get one of the above from the paid 6 star selector during Stultifera Navis but I would advise against it. No way to get Ash again.
Ooh. What's that event? Are there better units to select?
Scroll down to Invocation Permit Pack. You can choose any non-limited gacha 6 star up to Fartooth.
Ooh that looks good. I'll prob get Surtr off that.
The reason it's not advisable is because it costs $30, and you can easily get Surtr for $0 by just preparing 180 gold certs as she's almost guaranteed to debut like a week or two after that pack goes on sale. It may be better to choose a more difficult-to-acquire operator from that; for example, Kaltsit is also very powerful, but much further away from gold store.
I loved using Kal in the monthly operation squad. It feels like it takes forever to get yellow certs. How do people even get enough orundum to pull a bunch? Feels like pull material acquisition is slower than anything else I've ever played but I assume there are things I'm doing wrong. Get 1525 a week from the annihilation thing. That's 10 pulls in a month and you gotta do hundreds (at least I think I needed like 2 or 3 hundred for the Ling one but pulled her early)
I mean, it's the same as any other gacha game, you just have to do all your dailies and hoard. Passive F2P income is around 30 pulls a month, plus some Originite Prime from events that you can convert if you want to. If you don't like buying pulls with money you have to make decisions about which banners to skip.
You get 100 orundum daily and 500 weekly, plus 5 pulls from the green certificate shop and one from logging in monthly. Try to get your orundum cap up to 1,800 soon, if you can! You might want to prioritise getting a 4* unit (probably a vanguard) up to E2, so you can borrow a carry unit and use a youtube guide or something to clear 400 kills on the requisite maps, just for that extra pulling currency.
There are other odd sources of pulls as well, like paradox simulations from raising units, past annihilation sims, and random gifts/rewards/maintenance compensation.
You get yellow certs from dupes of 4* and above units, so just use your recruitment permits daily and watch out for tags. You'll start getting more soon after your common recruitment 4* are max pot. And pulling can get you between 0.5 and 1 gold cert per pull (averaged out) depending on, again, how many max pot 4*, though it doesn't take too-too long to reach a point where most of your 4* are maxed. I would avoid spending yellow certs on anything other than 6* in the shop when you're this new, unless you know exactly what you're doing.
Soft pity kicks in at 50 pulls, it's almost unheard of to go over 65 pulls between 6-stars, and the average rate of 6* is around one every 36 pulls or so. So f2p should still be get one 6* per month, plus their newbie banner guarantee, plus a couple of shoperators per year.
No Ash? 😭
Ash is a collab unit with rainbow six siege that we will most likely never see any of those 4 units again.
Omg that's cool though. Makes me wonder how many collabs this game has done. I know very little about the history of this game and I think it's been out for a few years. Would love to learn how this game has been and Blue Archive too since that's my favorite.
I know there was a KFC collab before i started playing but only for the CN server. The Nine Colored Deer collab we got recently. And an upcoming Capcom collab that i don't think we've learned about yet. I don't remember any others but they're is probably a couple i missed.
KFC as in the restaurant? Xd
She was a collab? I had no idea lol.
As a Capcom fan (or at least like 20 years ago Capcom lmao) that would be cool as hell.
Yes, there were some KFC-the-restaurant-themed outfits for Ifrit, Croissant and Exusiai.
They've also collabed with WWF for the operator Purestream, who could be bought for $1, and that event had an outfit for Cliffheart too.
NCD was a collab with the Chinese animated film, [The Nine-Coloured Deer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcGVqaes8dA).
[Details for a collab](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ4ZzDzif4s) with [the animated webseries Luo Xiao Hei](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmb33LfttlX4BnPyc4BR9W394589iLjq6) was recently announced for the CN sever, which means we're likely going to get it in 6 months. (Very very very excited for this one!)
And we're all holding tight for the Capcom collab details! ;\_;
Lmfao this game is all over the place and I love it. I read wwf as world wrestling federation for a second and was like what? Xdd
I'm kinda impressed this game can do so much cause it doesn't seem that huge to me. It's not like Genshin where everyone even off the internet knows it.
I need some math help with pulls. I will have 250 pulls when Fiametta's banner drops, If my goal is to get the 38 pulls from cert shop how many pulls should I do?
I currently have 81 gold cert, I want to add the natural gold cert regen and the plus 5 we get from monthly log in to that count to get 258 gold cert.
How many pulls does it take to get 258 gold cert and is it worth to chase that if I get her early?
I currently have 10 pity right now and am willing to pull to at least 110 if i get unlucky.
A pull gives you something like 1 gold cert (depending on your number of max pots). Each gold cert is worth about 0.15 pull.
So the only time it make sense to pull for gold certs is when you're very very close and very very desperate. Otherwise it's always better to simply save your pulls.
So if you get her early, just stop.
Do we know who will be in the gold cert shop during the Stultifera Navis banner?
[Shop Op predictions](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fzgNstjR86RT0aa2-bPI23Exb4lBEBdxfB-PkJhDVzQ/edit#gid=0)
[Estimated event date calendar](https://ak.jaywye.ee/calendar)
Shoperators are from rotating standard banners every 2 weeks, not from event banners.
Cant clear the CC#8 challenges because it takes so much time and it is giving me headaches but is a waste not to do those because the contract bounty rewards are high(?). Should I just leave it?
Which operators do you have? its usually takes 5-10 min peak to clear risk 8 on daily stages if your team full E2
not the daily stages. the one from the permanent map
challenges are easy too? I think it took for me around 30 min to clear them all after risk 18 run? Once you get the idea how to win its just repeat and repeat
If you're having troubles but really want the rewards then look up a guide.
I already looked at guides. The retries of the failed attempts of trying to follow the guide is just giving me headaches.
Well, then, CC is an endgame, so don't feel bummed if you're not able to clear the challenges. I got my ass handed to me during my first CC, so I just cleared what I could, got mats from the shop and moved on. There will be more CCs soon enough and by that time you'll have a stronger squad.
If I missed Gladiaa is there any chance to get her? The future Undertide seems to come with another free 6\* not Gladiaa
No, the other 6* is from another event called Stultifera Navis. You can still get Gladia from the Undertide re-run
Gladiia is from Undertides you might being thinking of the next Abyssal Hunter event >![Stultifera Navis](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNqAld2ICx0) which features [Lumen](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/operator/lumen), who is also a free 6 star!<
Gladiia will be coming back with the Undertides Rerun which is coming in November.
Under Tides will be rerun after Stultifera Navis and that’s one chance to get Gladiia before record restoration.
In IS2 what happens if I take both the worn out puppet (ending 2) and the mantle of the wrongly condemned (ending 3)? Which ending does it trigger?
Ending 3 occurs after ending 1 or 2.
You basically have to beat the Puppet in order to go to ending 3 now.
It basically just makes the ordeal much harder.
How many yellow certs do I need to buy all the pulls in the yellow certs shop
1/2/5/10/20 tickets for 10/18/40/70/120 yellow certs or 38 pulls for 258 yellow certs. Its best to do them all for the most efficient cert per ticket ratio
Total of 38 Headhunting Permit costs 258 yellow Certificates
Just a question on pity:
Does the pity from standard headhunting banner (feat. 2 6\* ops) does that carry over to the event banners such as GG/Fianmetta? and vice versa
Only 'limited' banners do not use pity rates and don't affect the pity for the main pool. It may be less confusing to refer to them as 'new operator' banners since they aren't *that* tied to an event.
Yes. Named/Event banners like GG/Fia are also considered as standard headhunting. Pity are carried over to all banner with the exception of limited banner, collab banner, and the banner that guarantees you getting 6* that you don't own yet which I forgot what's its name of.
Pity carries over between all standard banners, but never between limited/special banners. Event banners (GG/Fiammetta) are standard banners. This is why I don't like calling the 2-week-rotation banners "standard banners."
How large is czerny s2 explosion?
Texas S2 range.
Anyone knows what the next standard banner is?

No, but there should be a post in the game's notices within the next few days before the current one ends, as far as I understand it.
On Global it's W. But that's only purely because W is the only Artilleryman 6☆ in that server.
On CN Fiammeta is definitly better then W.
Though Fiametta arrives on Global during the 16th september. So soon we will have both.
In my opinion I find both a bit not great.
-Has massive AoE burst with her S3.
-Can be a nice akf'er with S2.
-Can interupt enemy animations with her stuns that her kit provides. Stunned enemies within her range even get bonus damage.
-Unfortunately her S3 burst requires enemies to be clumped together.
-She has very good range and Continuous DPS with S3.
-She has decent burst on S2 that's less conditional.
-She has SP on attack meaning that her skillscharge a bit slowly without additional support.
-She continuously loses HP and needs to be above a certain treshhold for her bonus damage to happen.
Hello, complete noob here, just started 2 days ago. I was wondering if there is any advice on using Event Crystals. I arbitrarily used my 2 Event Crystals on Under Tides and Heart of Surging Flame, and wondering if I'm going to regret it.
Another question I had was if I can still unlock Gladiia through Under Tides, since it's Intermezzo and not a current event.
You using event crystals now isn’t a big deal, you mainly just don’t want to be full on them if you have events to unlock since they won’t replenish then(I think event crystals are dumb, events should just be unlocked automatically, but whatever)
Event crystals replenish every week, so you will eventually be able to unlock all the content.
Next chance to unlock Gladiia is during the Under Tides rerun, which should take place around Nov. Other than reruns, the rewards will be available once an event gets “record restored.”
the order you unlock them doesn't really matter. you might want to go in order they're listed because the older events tend to be easier. mainly HoSF and the Grani one. HoSF also has 0 sanity stages that give OP for clearing. It really doesn't matter though. by the time you get to the small edge case where the unlock order might be relevant you should have every event unlocked anyway.
and no you can't get Gladiia until it reruns/ is the current event (which should be in a couple months)
Welcome to the game! You get a new Event Crystal every week, so you can spend them quite freely as you'll just have everything unlocked fairly soon.
At the moment, the only free operators you can unlock by playing side storis would be Grani from Grani & the Knight's Treasaure, Ceylon from Heart of Surging Flame, and Bison from Code of Brawl, because those are the events that have "Record Restore" going for them. Under Tides doesn't have RR yet so no Gladiia right now, but the event itself will rerun later in a few months so you'll be able to get her then.
Is Lumen good? I've never seen anyone using him since his release.
He's only operator who can cleanse debuff (stun, freeze, etc).
He’s a very solid medic. His main skill is an ammo skill that only uses ammo on targets with status conditions- stun, freeze, burning, etc.- and instantly ends said status conditions. He can still heal normally and has increased atk and aspd while he has ammo.
His ability to instantly end status effects isn’t always useful and without that he’s just a heal more kind of medic, which are not only difficult to show off in a meaningful way but also not always useful when we have medics like Warfarin or Ptilopsis that directly or indirectly buff other units’ dps.
He’s kinda like Nightingale, where he has a niche that is extremely useful but when it can’t be applied he’s subpar, though his floor is much higher than hers thanks to the aspd/atk buff.
Lumen is pretty good, but is currently only available on CN. He will become available on Global during SN.
If an op has ranged enemies firing projectiles at them and then they enter invisible/camouflaged state, do the projectiles still land?
Is this a concern for Cantabile who has to manually activate her s2 camouflage, even if it's immediately available on deployment (with Bagpipe in team)?
Yes. If you drop Canta in front of a Sarkaz caster in CC10 and use S2 on deployment, she'd still be targeted and bound.
Yes they’ll still be hit. Even if a projectile is in the air, an attack still occurred so they’ll take damage. Camo/invis prevent being targeted, not prevent taking damage.
I believe so, yes, based on my experience using firewatch with s1 for yesterday's CC daily. She was definitely still taking a hit shortly after activating her skill.
Anyone knows if Guiding Ahead date got datamined or something?
In-game announcement just popped up. It is indeed the 16th.
Does this mean we not getting a diff standard banner than fiametta?
Fiametta will be on event banner where she is the only 6 star rate up, while the standard banner with two 6 star rate up will still be there
Just saw it Thanks
Apparently it's on the 16th. They definitely need to start teasing it today if true.
Thanks although idk if they gonna reveal something today i believe they are on vacation rn, but they could have easily had scheduled tweets but idk hopefully its the 16th
My main operators are:
Saria, Shining, Specter, Angelina, Cuora, Myrtle, Vigna, May, Warfarin, Click, Gitano, and Shirayuki.
I also have some of the 3*s levelled up, like Kroos and Melantha
Which operators should I E2 first? I'm also wondering if I should E2 my 3* and 4*s first (are they worth the resources)
If you are not pulling on Fiammeta banner or the current Eyja banner, Angelina first. If you are pulling on any banner, wait and see.
Angelina is currently your best damage dealer, but she needs her S3 to fill that role. A new event - Guiding ahead - is coming, so you want a stable farm squad without support to farm t3 mats from the event. E2 your damage dealer will have the best impact.
Depending on your strategy and needs, you can then E2 Specter, Saria, or Cuora for more tanks or e2 Click or May for more dps.
In the long run: Cuora, Myrtle, Vigna, May, and Click are worth e2. Myrtle, Cuora, and Vigna are useful everywhere even in late game. Click and May will be phased out by 6 stars but are still very strong for Integrated Strategy.
Warfarin, Gitano, and Shirayuki are low e2 priorities for you.
Note: 1 caveat is I expect you to e2 Angelina within the next week. If you cannot do that then e2 Click first to unlock e2 support for weekly Annihilation.
Specter is great unit to E2, and Myrtle Saria gain much from that also.Amiya is food choice her S1 gain incredible speed to charge when E2
The usual advise is usually 1 of the 2: E2 your best 6star DPS unit, or E2 a 4star (usually Myrtle) to access support units faster for a cheaper cost.
Unless an event is going on and you need an E2 support to clear a stage asap, I would normally recommend E2ing a 6star DPS (in your case, it would be angelina). E2ing a 6star gives a bigger payout, despite the more expensive initial cost.
Click, May, and Myrtle would be the best choices so you can access support units faster. Myrtle is better in the long term, Click and May are better short-term.
And I also have Skalter
Myrtle is the usual suggestion. Grants you access to support E2s.
But she's not as 'fun' as others. So if you don't need/want support E2s - Angelina is the best pick by far. Saria and Shining works well at E1. Specter 'only' gains another block. Angelina goes from nifty to very strong with her S3.
Saria and Spectre are worth E2ing first depending on your needs. Myrtle as well, but that's primarily to M3 her S1, she still works fine at SL7 if you want to prioritise other E2s.
Cuora, Vigna, May, Click and maybe Shirayuki are worth E2ing if you lack operators that fulfil their roles.
Warfarin, Ange and Shining E2 are worth, but are luxuries to have.
3* operators do not have E2, but they're cheap and easy to max.
Is there really such a huge difference between nightingale S3 M1 and M3? I watched a video of someone taking the viviana instant cast risk and the explosion just seemed to tickle their ops. Meanwhile each cast feels like it just wipes my whole field. Is this an issue of Masteries? Or do you need units who already have some res so that you're boosting them to like 65-ish res instead of 37-ish?
It's probably the module. An 0 res operator with s3m0 without module will take 44.6% less arts damage, with module and s3m3 they will take 77.9% less.
NG's module only grants extra RES to herself and no one else.
Assuming an Op with base RES of 10, an S3M3 NG grants 62.5 RES. Where as S3 grants 51.25.
I can't remember what Viviane hits for, but assuming 5k, you're looking at reducing it from ~2.4k to ~1.9k. So ~20% decrease in DMG.
If my mathed it out right, of course.
Yeah it looks like what matters here is the base res of the unit. she's absolutely gonna oneshot units without res, but units like Liskarm and Suzuran will barely be tickled. I think I just need to switch the unit I have in the forward ranged tile.
I want to make the abyssal team and get the most of them by taking into account CN modules. I didnt understand modules too much, since i just recently decided to invest on them, but to my surprise, there are different modules for certain characters like Skadi.
My question is, what is the best combo with the abyssal characters? As of now i have: Andreana L50 SL7 Module L1. Skalter L60 S2M3. Skadi L60 SL7. Gladia L60 S3M3. Specter L60 S2M3.
Im planning on getting Specter alter, and i heard its possible to make an Specalter/Andreana/Gladia/Skadi team that is really op, but im unsure of which modules i should put on Skadi, could someone help, please?
Skadi's module is going to vary on a map by map basis, for general use, her -redeploy is gonna be better, but for abyssal stacks, the module X is gonna be better. Gladiia's most used skill I'd argue switched to S2, while Andreana uses S1 sometimes to not have to worry about not hitting anyone, and her damage is still fairly high considering her base attack. Skadi uses S3 more than S2 in abyssal stacks. The arguably harder module to pick is gonna be Specter's as her first module improves her doll and herself greatly, but her second module makes it so that in combo with Gladiia's module, all of them survive shit they have no right surviving, and more HP = more regen thanks to Gladiia. Also SP regen is nice. Overall, prepare to spend a pretty penny on the girls, but the payoff is definitely there.
Thanks, the cost does not worry me much, since i have every 6 star i own at minimum m3, and got most if not all the meta units, i just wanted to build abyssal for fun, so its well worth it for me.
Yet im unsure of how worth it is to m3 any of the two Andreana's skills.
Hmm, from a team-fight perspective you're probably looking at Gladiia and Andreana modules of course, and then Spalter module 2 and Skadi module 1. Spalters 2nd module adds more +hp% and a new +sp/s passive for Abyssals and Skadi module 1 adds +atk% to all Abyssals. This provides the best overall synergy, and it makes it so that Spalter with her module 2 is super tanky with Gladiia's hp% regen passive healing her.
Here's a good channel that goes into depth with all of these modules up to level 3 in addition to providing some showcases on them:
DragonGJY also added a "bonus" AH mods priority list in his 6* mods part 1 review.
For when the CC event is complete and the training grounds go back to rotating about, are there a fixed total of rewards and I'd have to wait for the next CC event for more if I clear them all?
I managed to clear out the limited material shop and am wondering if I should use the rest to buy something from the permanent shop, or materials since those aren't permanent.
If you want to complete the medal set, buy Asbestos skin before this CC ends.
Yes, you can not farm the currency, its fixed. You can buy the skins you like. And operator like Bibeak is good too. Tokens are not very useful, only ones you should buy are Vanguard and FRD token.
What is FRD?
Definitely don't buy the infinite materials as they aren't efficient, unless you're in a real pinch. Clearing out the limited items is the most you should do and then just save the rest for next CC.
Up to your own discretion on the permanent shop since most are cosmetic and won't go away.
I'm mainly interested in Scene and Bibeak, hence my wondering how to manage my pizzas
Ah I forgot about the operators. Yes it's the only way to obtain them so by all means get them if you want.
What is the general consensus on Mulberry vs Honeyberry?
One notable edge case: Honeyberry can handle most of your healing needs in IS2 by herself, with the exception of the very last bosses of the second and third endings. (And the unicycle puppet boss, but most healers can't handle that if you don't have someone blocking it.) Sure, her healing is relatively weak, but with S1 she's multi-targeting it fairly often, and there isn't too much pressure on your healing in IS2. (It's more focused on your DPS output.) Mulberry doesn't have the multi-target and the strongest single-target healing is usually wasted, so she's much less useful there.
IS3 is looking to focus on enemies that also use elemental damage, so I expect this'll be true in IS3 as well. Honeyberry's a much better investment from the perspective of that mode.
Honeyberry is a lot better at healing elemental damage.
Mulberry is better at healing hp, and her S2 has elemental damage reduction which is better in fringe cases (if the burst of elemental damage is big enoungh to immediately trigger, so you can't heal it).
They are both good.
[Here's a write-up comparing the two](https://www.reddit.com/user/TacticalBreakfast/comments/tbytv7/commentary_by_boelthor_on_honeyberry_vs_mulberry/?ref=share&ref_source=link&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=arknights&utm_content=t1_ih4wai8)
TL;DR Honeyberry has better elemental damage healing but abysmal HP healing, Mulberry performs better at HP healing but generally worse at elemental healing.
Right, so then Honeyberry is the better choice to invest in since the reason to use one of them is for elemental damage
No as elemental healing is all she is good at.
While she is not quite as good at elemental healing as Honeyberry, Mulberry is still good at it while also being an excellent actual healer.
So Mulberry is the better choice.
Not exactly, both are great for different things. Honeyberry is better for elemental healing if the ops that needs it is only around 1 to 3 ops, more than that and you'll be better off with elemental reduction from Mulberry instead.
Does any1 know about how many days before Eyja banner ends, the next standard banner will reveal itself? Doesn’t have to be up, but just when the info is released.
3 days before.
had a quick question or two.
i know the next upcoming event will bring the 6\* top operator ticket to the shop, but i cant find anywhere a specific/full list of what OP's it will let me redeem.
second question is if it allows it, who would be best to pick out of the following and why:
Meteorite is not a 6*
I know that, i typed it by accident whilst looking at the 5 star selector we get for free.
Not actually sure which 5 star to get as well
Of the newer 5* that were not in the previous selectors (since Nightmare), Shamare, Elysium, Kafka are the most meta.
I wouldn't sweat it though. By the time a few months pass to anniversary then you'd probably have formed some opinion on the older 5* ops and you might've gotten some of them.
The selector should come in late October with SN. That's probably why you couldn't find it; you were looking in the wrong place. Anyways, it includes every non-limited 6-star [up through Fartooth.](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/event-banner-hub/stultifera-navis-3rd-anniversary-cn-event-page) SilverAsh and Surtr are far and away the strongest out of those you listed, but Surtr should be in the shop on [11-11,](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/wejkmd/arknights_shoperator_debuts_updated_as_of/) so your best course of action, ignoring personal preferences, would be SA with the selector and Surtr in the shop.
ahhh thanks for that, i understand why surtr is good but why not hellagur for 1v1 lane control or passenger for stun locking, hell even meteorite just for ranged abuse.
was there any other OPs i should try to get if given the chance.
also by in the shop do you mean like the current eyjafjalla/rosa gacha?
From what I understand, Hellagur is generally somewhat limited in usefulness while purchasing a 6* should be, in my opinion, someone you can get a lot of use out of no matter what map you're playing.
Surtr is slated to be a shoperator for gold certs in most likely two months. No need to get her with the ticket.
Me personally, I'm probably going to buy that ticket and get Saria. Excellent operator, useful everywhere. Even though she's in recruitment it's unreliable for me to hope for the top op tag, much less actually get the opportunity to select her alone.
Fair enough, atm im putting together a list of everything we get with the coming events.
Im looking forward to the free OP savage
Enjoy your Saria when you get her. She's absolutely worth it with, as you most already know, 3 almost equally good skills.
Hey, just a few questions about certain ops. I have a pretty well built out squad right now, and no targets until Gavail, so just looking to round out some aspects.
How does Meteorite fare these days? I have a Shirayuki leveled to E1 max. Meteorite seemed to be more discussed when I first started (ToW rerun), so seeing if she has any impact these days?
And I want to level my first arts protector and deciding between Asbestos and Shalem. I know for IS2, Shalem is clearly better. But outside of IS2, is there any clear winner between them? Thanks
Meteorite is a little slow to output damage without Archetto, but pair them together and she goes to the moon. That SP gen translates to an S1 proc every other/every third shot, meaning she's slapping a quarter of the map very frequently. If you have a Skalter its even better.
Meteorite is better, but definitely a low priority. AoE sniper isn't a role you need all that often.
Shalem is better. His damage is kinda nuts. Asbestos is okay, but the damage difference between them is just too much.
Yeah. Right now I’m wading through all the lower priority ops, so just deciding who’s going on the list, as I won’t have many new ops for a while. That and just whittling down masteries lol
Thanks for the input =).
Honestly I have never seen the appeal of Yuki: if I wanted arts AoE I'd use an AoE caster and if I wanted slow I'd use a slow supporter.
Meteorite on the other hand slaps: high constant damage with her S1 and high burst and defence shred with her S2.
You also shouldn't really raise operators to E1 max unless you are planning on instantly e2ing them.
As for Asbestos and Shalem, neither are particularly brilliant but I'd say Asbestos is better.
Edit: I forgot that opinions are not allowed.
Well Yuki was one part of my first core of ops I raised. But I did level her to E1 max before I had a full grasp on level targets and priorities. However, those extra levels were useful for the South Prison Annihilation, so it wasn’t wasteful at the end of the day for me.
Thanks for the advice on the other two as well =)
3x5 range is nothing to sneeze at, and getting four-stars to E1 L60 really isn't particularly wasteful -- I'd be surprised if the majority of doctors didn't have at least a couple operators there.
I understand the range extension, but I'm hard pressed to think of a situation where you'd want it over a more specialised operator.
...when you need to hit things from farther away? She obviously doesn't have an endgame niche, but she obviously provides useful role compression for developing accounts.
In [this clear of 9-9](https://youtu.be/D2lTqac2kew) the friendly snipers switch aggro from the Tombkeeper onto the hounds, even though the hounds are further away from the objective. Why?
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. ["If the enemy's pathing is convoluted, friendly units' targeting will be based on the *length of the enemy's path remaining.* For example, an enemy may be near a Protection Objective, but if they make several laps or take longer to get there, they will not be prioritized."](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Aggression)
The hounds are going straight to the blue boxes. The gargoyles I'm pretty sure do a loop first, so they actually have farther to go.
What do we know about Dusk's power?
Does she really paint her clothes?
That's what her skin description says, yes. After the design was done she just made it real.
So she can make her paintings real, and trap people within them.
Why is the challenge option for some of the early levels(1-1,1-8,1-9,) not available?
Maybe you have auto-deploy ticked?
Also obviously, you need to 3* the normal version in case that's the problem.
Yeah auto-deploy was the case. Never would have thought about it.
> Maybe you have auto-deploy ticked?
I've struggled to notice that for about 2 months when I started playing.
I'm at the last stage of IS2, i have liskarm, thorns at E2, ambriel E2 with module, amiya E2, ptilopsis, i have catapult to deal with the loads of casters. I also have Waai Fu e2 with module.
I'd put Thorns in the tile diagonally between the two raised platforms -- that way he can hold the middle and then also hit Phantom at his upper left stopping point. Compared to the other replier's spot, that gets more time hitting Phantom and doesn't expose Thorns to getting attacked, which you really can't afford without a wandering medic -- their spot's only advantage is that it lets Thorns help with the dancer lane, but you shouldn't need the help there. Liskarm above him to block the heavies, Catapult and Ambriel pointed at the casters, Ptilo healing all of them, and then I'd probably go with caster Amiya S3 to help hold the middle and then burst Phantom as he walks across the top. Use Waai Fu to keep the casters from the top box from hitting your ranged units. You seem a little light on ops, so hopefully you have some decent relics
Your best bet, imo, is to block Lucian before he destroys the top block. Put Thorns below the red boxed in the middle, facing right, so he can reach the circling casters and take care of the balloons, Catapult below facing right, Amiya on Thorns' left so she can get rid of the shield guards, Liskarm below Thorns so you don't leak. When Lucian passes Thorns, bait his blink with any operator and put your other strongest to the left to block him (or you may have to rotate weaker operators, you don't have much choice here) and pray Amiya's Chimera can kill him. If you can't deal with him, then just wait until he comes around again. You'll have to leak shield guys but you'll still hold mid.
Can Mulberry S1M3 deal with elemental damage in most content? I has her S1M1 and it's not enough for both this CC and Dossole Annihilation. Also which skill is better for IS2?
Generally elemental damage comes out in such a way that one or maybe two people can be kept up against it, but any more than that, and any more than 1-2 sources of incoming elemental damage, will overwhelm the wandering medic.
Mulberry S1 will handle things pretty well but it won't be enough to stop it completely. Same for Honeyberry.
Now, Mulberry S2 is another matter entirely; it drastically increases her attack rate (which also means boosted healing) while also reducing any incoming elemental damage for anyone in the S2 field. Those two together mean she can stand up against some really stout elemental damage. Even if 5-6 ops are being hit at once she'll generally be able to keep up with it such that most or all will be fully restored by the time the next hit comes in. I've used her S2 this way against Phantom in IS2 and she'll keep 5-6 ops up without issue under her S2 field, even with Phantom and one of his shadows using their aoe attack on them.
Of course once it's down then you're SOL, but it's very powerful while it's active, and her S2 has the benefit of working on non-healable units due to how it also reduces incoming elemental damage. As nice as her S1 can be I've come to prefer her S2 unless it's a map that clearly has a moderate level of consistent incoming elemental damage that can be blocked by 1-2 ops.
I've read that Pozyomka powercrept Schwarz, so i'm hesitating investing into her (Schwarz), is it still worth it?
How hard are you going to roll for Pozy? I think the case for dropping Schwarz becomes stronger the more likely you'll actually get Pozy.
Still worth it. Schwarz is still the better choice against boss since she's easier to use and has better skill cycle compared to Pozy.
Yes she is.
Not only is Poz five or so months away, her existence does not make Schwarz any better or any worse than she was a year ago.
I see, that's true, it's just that i don't have many ressources right now so thought it was better to wait, thanks!
Are Blitz and Frost's talent improvements worth it? I already got the Defender and Specialists tokens from the cc shop, and need to find one more Specialist token for Frost's +atk.
IMO they're the only ops worth using 5-star tokens on anyway, since it seems doubtful the R6 collab will rerun. As long as you don't buy the token with gold certs I think it's not a bad idea.
Having the extra traps to start with is pretty good for Frost. Trappers love the extra breathing room starting with max traps will give you. For Blitz however, 160% to 165% against stunned is kinda w/e.
What skill do you generally master on Fiammetta, S2 or S3?
She's a valid M6 candidate. Fiammetta's main strenght is consistent AoE dps, she's good at clearing waves.
With that in mind, her S2 is a lot better at that job and actually synergizes with her second talent, although it's a boring skill and a fairly replaceable role.
Her S3 is more intresting, but if you don't hit in the bullseye the dps is not good, it's potentially lower than her base attacks, the range restriction is fairly severe. That being said, it is a very unique range and when things line up it's a good skill; even when thing don't line up perfectly, if you're willing to put in extra effort in positioning, it's not unusable.
Personally I would do S2 first and then S3.
S2 for general use.
Edit: anyone want to offer another opinion, or just downvote me like children?
I just noticed that the furniture theme we get from IS#2 is missing a few pieces to be completed. Are we going to get those later in the event?
Let's say I have more than enough Op raised and enough module unlocked, the only thing worth left in the red cert are Breeze/Berry for yellow cert and 6* token right, nothing else will come in the future? Do the token rotate or only Defender and Caster are available?
The red cert shop will probably rotate again eventually. It has only done so twice in over 3 years, and the last time was pretty recent with Near Light.
Honeyberry to e2 or wait for Chestnut ?
Chestnut is garbage. Tried borrowing him for IS on CN and man, he's terrible.
Chestnut does not seem to be very good. His S2 has a really long cooldown and super restrictive range, and S1 is basically just Mulberry's S1, but worse.
Seeing as Chestnut is garbage, Honeyberry.
As a relatively new player with a serious lack of Guard units, should I buy Bibeak from the permanent CC shop or buy mats to boost my Skadi up from E050? Scene could also make a good addition to my roster, but I have a few summoner-types as is, including an E050 Ling I'm sleeping on.
As a fellow relatively new player, I'd say prioritize the limited materials from the CC event shop first. If those are cleared out then feel free to start using the permanent shop.
Just want to add Bibeak scales very well with investment. Masteries are good for both skills (although her S1 is usually forgotten) and her Module is pretty damn good too.
I would definitely grab Bibeak; while she's known mostly for her s2's stun spam, her s1 is actually a top-tier sustained dps skill. Just be warned that, as a dualstrike, she has low damage per hit and thus doesn't do so well against armored enemies. A highly invested Bibeak can overcome that between better dph, the secondary projectile from her s1 dealing Arts damage, and simply having so much dps that she can afford to lose some of it; but since you're talking about e0 units she'll need to be used alongside some source of Arts damage if the enemies have any kind of armor.
Thank you for the thorough rundown! For clarity, I mentioned E0 units as ones I own but I don't use any under E1, especially as I'm up to 4-10 in the story and need my main squad to be pretty beefy. I have one or two casters and some defense debuffers (pramanix, namely) in E1 who I can use to supplement.
>should I buy Bibeak from the permanent CC shop or buy mats to boost my Skadi up from E050
If you are just at this point in the game then I'd say Just wait.
Why? because there are 3☆ guards that are generally easy to accuire via recruitment and headhunting.
I think I have all the 3-star guards from recruitment and Headhunting, possibly the 4's too. The only one I use regularly is Frostleaf, sometimes Melantha if I need to airdrop a bad time onto an enemy.
You're sleeping on Midnight, Arene, Cutter, Popular, Shaw and Estelle. Though there's no need to raise them all, especially for where you are, they're most of the good 3 and 4 star guards you're overlooking.
I have popukar at E1-15 or so, but yeah I have been sleeping on them, admittedly. The archetype just wasn't the most interesting to me, and it seemed like I could accomplish most things by using other units in more interesting ways. I should bring some of them up though.
In the early game you will probably find it handy to have a duelist guard like Melantha. She is a pretty strong duelist guard dealing high single target damage and having a large HP pool. Midnight is also pretty good for supplementing arts dps.
3-stars cost much less to promote and level which lets you get a decently powerful unit on your roster so you can unlock stages sooner. You don't need chips or materials for E1.
Duelist guards are primarily used for taking down casters because arts damage ignores def so having a high hp pool lets them soak quite a bit of damage. Usually enough to take down a caster by themselves. Well of course they have the drawback of only blocking one target but sometimes you want to keep just that one enemy from getting to your front line. Skadi is usually overkill for the duelist role and she costs quite a bit to level being a 6-star, Melantha is usually enough for dueling enemies.
As far as resource efficiency, you have ling. For a new account, Ling gives you a whole squad of very powerful ground operators to use. Leveling Ling is essentially leveling 2 very powerful 4-block AoE guards and a super popukar, all of which have an AoE arts damage skill all for the price of one operator. She can carry most maps with just a handful of supporting operators.
I do use Melantha on occasion, but not often. I'll level her a little more and try using her more, especially since hard-hitting casters are kind of what's holding me up in story stages here at 4-10. Thank you for the tips!
What you say about Ling makes sense. I've left her at E0 so long just because I got the impression that without E2/S3 she wasn't as worthwhile to invest in compared to others, but when you put it that way it seems kind of silly to neglect such a powerful and versatile unit lol.
Ling is one of those units that performs best when maxed out but she is pretty powerful already even without her module(which lets her have more and cheaper dragons). You just need to bring enough dp generation to overcome the higher dp cost.
For 4-10 having a fast redeploy like Gravel can really help with stalling the boss. Melantha is also a decent choice for stalling frostnova. A borrowed Exusiai or Sliverash will make short work of that stage though.
Good to know! And thanks for the tip, I always bring Project Red for the panic stun, but I'll bring Gravel in too probably. I wanna give this stage my best before I resort to trivializing it with support units.
Gravel will be better for stalling, she has a larger HP pool. But Project Red will do more damage to frostnova using skill 1 in the window of time before she gets frozen. Alternating the two along with a sniper support might also work.
Bibeak is quite good, though her job is pretty different from Skadi. Skadi is meant to go in, hit things really hard, and get out. Bibeak is a frontliner with either really solid DPS with S1 or spammable stuns with S2. She's worth getting.
Bibeak is probably the best pick. Skadi isn't very good as a guard unless you already have a decently built up team, Ling is mostly an upgrade to Scene when using S1. But I'd say to still get some of the more valuable materials first before going for an op in the CC store.
