Vantage should get a 100% damage increase if that happens. Echo is on a 2 minute cooldown, but vantage gets to wreak havoc

She just goes from a 5 round sniper that does 50/100 damage per shot to a bottomless semi-auto kraber that does double damage, gains the ability to hover infinitely with perfect accuracy with her gun out, and has no bullet drop or damage falloff on any gun, and has an active scan on the entire lobby for that 2 minutes. The simple answer to stop it from happening is to simply not shoot the bat, easy counter play if you ask me

It’s a basically 100% uptime tactical as it is now in a game where movement is a premium skill. Also crypto’s drone doesn’t give you wallhacks it needs LOS

Crypto's drone actually gives a person information of where the enemy is, and can be used to damage you from a remote location. Echo is just vibing up in the sky and may or may not be used to boost up (depending on when you notice them). That's probably why it works that way. You can't shoot Loba's bracelet either.

Cryptos drone CAN: Pick up banners Respawn teammates Scan beacons Scan banners in the area to see how many squads are around Gives info with LoS Can EMP for free damage Can distract people Echo CAN: Sit there until you hold a button for a period of time and then continue sitting there until next time.

It would be useless if you could destroy it. Crypto’s drone serves a purpose so you can destroy it because it can scan you and also damage you. The bat just shows you exactly where the vantage is going to go other then that it serves literally no other purpose, being able to kill it would kill vantages tactical. It would be like being able to destroy lobas bracelet mid throw. Which would be cool, but it would break Loba lol.

Honestly that’s probably why they gave that ability to Vantage to be able to move Echo like that, to see how it does in a sense of balancing. But moving Echo around and moving Hack around are two different things as echo is for movement and Hack is for spotting enemies so I bet they won’t give that same kind of quick controls for Hack as they might think Crypto will be too strong.

Would be kind of insane to be able to direct a second pair of eyes while moving yourself. intel is king, and people hate wallhacks. Making it easier to scan people with the drone at no cost will effectively increase how often you are "wallhacked" in fights.

Except Crypto’s “wallhacks” are VERY different to Seer’s or Bloodhound’s. Crypto needs his drone to have Line Of Sight to get that scan off, putting Hack (who is very loud, being hit, and has 50 health) directly in harm’s way Big risk n reward

Crypto is already highly picked in algs. Personally other than the bugs crypto has, I solo que to masters every season with him just fine. Not against the idea of giving him a non drone related passive.

Past the weird drone deploying and the bugs, the only thing I'd really want is to ADS and check nearby squads like how Seer and Vantage are able to use their passive. Bring Crypto in line with his fellow recons.

Its not at all the same thing. Crypto can grab banners, scout, provide info, res people, and unleashes his ult. Echo literally provides a jump location and thats it. I think its fine as is.
