Depends entirely on the person, but if it was a 100% blind choice, and I didn't know whether I was recommending something to a kid/teenager/adult, I'd go with **Spirited Away**.
Your Name is the safest answer. They tried to convince me with a ghibli movie (the one with the young girl who turns into a old lady) and i literally fell asleep. Thank god i didn't give up after that
Depends on what the other person likes thought. Cant think of a standalone that would make some hooked in anime. For me if i want to show people how great som anime can be i chose AoT since the starting episodes are really interesting to getbyou hooked and if you want to thinkit about a movie you have at least 4 episodes of time.
Akira is probably the most likely to appeal to a non anime watcher as long as they don’t hate action films.
Not saying Akira is just action before people try come for me.
The problem with showing Akira first is that the art style from the 80's can be a turn off to people. Not saying it isn't good, but 80s art can be rough for a casual/beginner watcher.
A silent voice, I’ve shown this movie to like ten of my family and friends and every single one has loved it so far.
Perfect Blue, if I don't think they'll mind a serious one like that.
Grave of the fireflies A Silent Voice Perfect Blue Tokyo Godfathers One of these depending on what mood the person in question wants to watch.

Interesting point; it’s actually one of my favourite art styles but I guess it could be off putting for teens
My first anime was 5 centimeters per second and that got me hooked lol
Demon Slayer movie: Mugen Train
Spirited away, duh
I'd probably just fuck with them and make them watch End of Evangelion with no context.
Your name. It was the reason why I started watching anime.
Depends on the person.
