wake your psyche up, mob!
Hope we get another banger OP
We’re 2/2 so far with all time great OPs, hopefully we can go 3/3.
IT'S TIME TO JERK YOU OFF MOB
CAN YOU FEEL YOUR MASTURBATION!
Years later and i still can't unheard it
Coming down... :[
In this opening counting would stop at 69.
[Everyone should check out the official twitter](https://imgur.com/a/I5HyzBY), it's been doing absolutely weird things since July in it's countdown images. (poor PR person that had to make some of this stuff up)
Speaking of counting...
Season 1 OP: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw-5Lka7gPE)
Season 2 OP: [99.9](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epZaT8B31-g)
Season 3 OP: 99.99???
It will finally be 100, of course.
that'll be the changed OP for the finale
disclaimer: i have not read the manga so no idea how feasible this is
Well, the chapters of the manga were arranged with decimal point numbered chapters and whatnot specifically so the climax of the story was chapter 100. So it would be fitting.
> poor PR person that had to make some of this stuff up
I love how sometimes it'll just be the percentage bar or volume covers, and other times it's just a billion fingers that add up to the countdown number
And a barrage of twitter users confused during the beginning on what was going on + those seconds of betrayal when they posted the 100th image but no announcement yet.
Poor PR guy probably got a half dozen death threats in the seconds it took for him to post the Season 3 announcement
You can't forget the real MVP of the count, Onigawara and the Oni Rush. Really saved the intern from running out of content.
What's season 3 about? I totally thought it was completed
If im not mistaken, the remaining arc is the broccoli and the most awaited Mob's focused love story.
Plus a mini-arc with the paranormal club.
AKA the best arc.
tying up loose ends.
There's 2 main arcs and 3 minor arcs left (plus potentially some omake/previously excluded material* also being used depending on if they need to fill time based on how they've story-boarded things).
*Season 1 is missing a fan-favorite chapter, and it's highly likely they'll try to work it into the First major arc, since it fits thematically and is basically the last real chance they'll have to do it.
Got a few more arcs left to adapt.
100 days of build up was ***ABSOLUTELY*** worth the wait! There has been a large amount of the previous staff retweeting/ commenting on the posts along the way, so I am sure we will be seeing a lot of the staff returning!
Cannot wait for whenever this ends up dropping.
Quarter of a second faster /u/Lovro26, you can't be beat!
The only notable change is the director change-up, the previous one is still involved though.
IIRC, he is a huge Reigen fanboy, so I'm not surprised.
It might be my favorite anime of all time. I don't really re-watch much nowadays, but I've seen the current seasons probably 5-6 times now.
One of the best looking TV anime and the story is incredibly fun and touching. Absolutely would recommend.
one of my all time favorites, although I'll admit it took me a few episodes to get into it
I wasn't certainly enjoying it for the first five episodes. Episode 6 onwards, I never wanted to put it down
Same I think season 2 is way better. Not going to lie I dropped season 1 the first time but was so thankful I picked it back up
It’s the best anime
Is it good? 100%
But as with all the critically acclaimed anime, it may be not you cup of tea. So I'd say that you abide by the 3 episodes rule.
It isn’t 100% good
#It’s ???% good
Make it 5 I personally wasn't hooked until episode 5 of season 1, but now it's one of my favorite animes
Exactly the same here. Took me 5 episodes to get into it, but when I did get hooked, oh boy, the ride was great.
Catch up before the new season. Season 1 is very good, season 2 is even better. Great characters, great writing and the animation is beautiful(in my opinion).
It has 10/10 animation quality even with simplistic character design. It has a great story, some of the best and most lovable characters of any anime, it’s hilarious, and there are some amazing fight sequences: but one in particular in season 2 is a standout and might be the single best-animated fight I’ve ever seen. The dub very well done if you’re a slow reader like me.
Edit: it starts a little slow and I always recommend to watch at least the first 4 episodes before deciding to give up on it if you aren’t that into it.
Thank fucking Christ
Mob Psycho 100 is about to join the hallowed halls of great manga that will have a complete anime adaptation.
Bones and key staff returning. This is gonna be one of the greatest anime of all time 🤞
Takahiro should slot into the role pretty nicely, being a BONES regular they’ve directed episodes for a lot of their shows (Bungo Stray Dogs, Carol and Tuesday, Sk8 Infintity to name a few) they even directed EP.6 of Mob Psycho season 2.
Bones is about to pull another FMAB
Bones is perfection 🔥
*sweeps season 5 of BnHA under the rug*
*hides season 4 of BNHA in the closet*
I've heard Season 5 was bad but haven't watched it yet. But I honestly really loved Season 4 (not a manga reader though) so honestly I'm still looking forward to getting around to it
The general concencus from what I've seen is that neither season 4 nor 5 were *bad*, but they were not nearly as good as they were in the manga
I'm not sure exactly when it happened but at some point over the last few seasons I definitely started to find it a lot less thrilling. And I'm not a manga reader so it's definitely not being tainted by that. I think the climax of Endeavour v Nomu is the only couple of episodes in the last few years that really got my blood pumping.
Having said that, that concluding episode of that fight is maybe the best episode of anything I've watched in the past couple of years in terms of pure unadulterated hype and emotion. Extremely high highs and low lows, for me.
I'm anime only as well for my hero and s5 just felt so out of character. It was like 10 straight episodes of the characters repeating the exact same things and flashbacks
As someone who is anime only, it felt like a transitional season that needs to happen so they can make the following season great.
Bones is such an amazing studio. They have so many good anime under their name. Mob Psycho will go down as one of the best anime series ever made
Bones is just a great example of a company that is trying to make solid, quality anime without spamming the industry with rushed adaptations and pandering garbage. And AFAIK they're not working their staff to the point of insanity.
*cough* Boku no Hero Academia s5 *cough*
Mentioned this a few times but having to make a full MHA season every year is really probably starting to strain them. The reason the Mob Psycho seasons looks so good is because there's years between each season, so lots of preproduction.
*sweeps it under the rug*
I feel like the show has been getting progressively worse.
I remember that seasons 1 and 2 were great but I can't remember exactly at which point it started going wrong.
> but I can't remember exactly at which point it started going wrong.
When the first movie became a success
Not only complete, but an *amazing* one. If season 3 is as well produced as the other two, MOB is really going down in history.
On an age with seasonal Anime, its hard to be a classic but Mob definitely will be one of those series which is just really amazing.
I kind of disagree that the age of Seasonal anime doesn't have many classics. From anime that aired recently Attack on Titan, Fruits Basket, Odd Taxi, Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyuu, Kaguya Sama, Vinland Saga etc. are all classics or are on their way to be classics.
The general sentiment isnt that they arnt classics in quality, but that with saturation of so many more average shows there is less room for a series to become legendary in the fandom. IE becoming major talking points years and years later. I think Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan made it, but even AoT seems to lack the all encompassing phenomenon of the likes of Haruhi, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist and Fruits Basket.
I will accept, of course, that there are levels of classic that modern series can gain and exceptions like demon slayer and made in abyss that become cultural zeigheists (Community pillars).
If they also adapt Reigen then it will truly be complete.
Finally we will have the full adaptation of the superior One manga
As much as I loved Season 1 and the webcomic of One Punch Man, I think I have to agree with you. Mob is a masterpiece of One's style of writing, as demonstrated by all the nostalgia people have for moments of characters demonstrating their loyalty and growth on reposting clips. OPM hasnt had the same level a cohesive writing. Even the original webcomic went off the rails at times in the garou arc. And the manga has widened its story so much it becomes unwieldly. Amazing artistry still, Murata is a wizard with a pencil.
OPM is never meant to be something serious anyway. In Saitama's words - it's just a hobby thing (and still is, even the Murata version). MP100 on the other is a proper manga, and as far as I know, ONE's only "real" manga unlike OPM and Makai no Ossan which are both webcomic.
to me mob is superior purely due to writing, one punch is funnier but mob has way more soul, every character has at least some depth
I'd argue MP100 is actually funnier than OPM as well. No one in OPM is funnier than Reigen.
The moment he did "digital exorcism" by photoshopping a picture, I knew I was gonna love that man
Reigen is one of the greatest characters in all of fiction.
And honestly I think OPM's humour started to wear off for me pretty quickly. Mob Psycho stayed both consistently funny as well as heartwarming throughout both seasons
In OPM you can clearly see One playing around with many of the concepts that would eventually be Mob. If he didn't write OPM first I doubt he would have such a clear vision for Mob's story.
And what a fucking adaptation it is!
I’d honestly call mob psycho 100 the stranger things of anime. You know how anybody between the ages of 12 and 80 can enjoy stranger things? Anybody between the ages of 12 and 80 (regardless of whether they have heard about anime or not) can enjoy mob psycho 100 too.
I would honestly call mob psycho 100 the best gateway to anime.
a complete adaptation. a complete, consistently well made adaptation, holy shit.
Feels like a dream. This is my favorite manga so having this adapted with so much love into it is just 😭
Does season three have enough content to make like a full season, and can i expect more good fights and stuff ?
A bit short, but personally I'm hoping for an episode or two of ONE-written or ONE-approved fillers, since there's already an ~~filler~~ intermission arc in the manga anyway.
The "intermission" arc is wholesome gold. So many smiles and laughs while reading it.
There's also the Reigen post-script to the series, which could add another episode or two if they're really that desperate for content.
Not a full season unless there’s some anime-only episodes. Can’t say if they’ll be better than Season 2’s but there should be some more good fights!
I could see it being a full season if they also adapt the spin-off with Reigen, which honestly could serve as a fairly decent epilogue in its own way.
It does have enough content for about 10 more episodes. As for fights, sorry to disappoint, but I don't think anything from the manga was as hype as those fights from season 2
True unless they add anime only scenes to the last arc, they could add some similar fighting scenes to it
There are plenty of spots for the animators to take creative liberties and go wild with sakuga.
There's definitely a few scenes where Bones can apply the Shimazaki brush-up. Even if there aren't as many fights per se, there's no doubt there's going to be amazing sakuga coming from the same animators.
content of season 3 is largely carried by the emotion and character development, even more so than s2 and 1
> can I expect good fights and stuff
There’s one big fight but honestly iirc S3 will be pretty light on action aside from that. It’s more about character resolution from Mob than any epic duels.
And even the one big fight isn’t like super hype, but I can’t say why without spoilers.
So I am worried it will actually end up disappointing the general anime audience.
The general anime audience that only cares abot MP100 for the fights may be underwhelmed. But the people that resonate with it emotionally are in for a real treat.
The ending several chapters are a very satisfying way to end Mob’s character arc, definitely cemented him as one of my favorite protagonists.
Having read/watched Assassination Classroom, I am really happy Mob will also get fully and faithfully adapted
Is this the final season?
Directed by - Takahiro Hasui
Executive Director - Yuzuru Tachikawa
Series Coordinator - Hiroshi Seko
Character Design - Yoshimichi Kameda
Sound Director - Kazuhiro Wakabayshi
Music - Kenji Kawai
Animation Production - BONES
I’m happy that Kenji Kawai is back for the music. He nailed it with the 2 previous seasons.
It wouldnt be the same without him
One of the staff I wish could be back is the Paint on Glass artist lady that was missing from season 2
She was in season 2 several times though. On top of my head she did stuff for episode 3 (stalker looking through wall), 5 (some of the Mogami backstory stuff) and 8 (nervous mob for the race)

The poster for this looks so good
Honestly there's not enough people talking about it. Mob Psycho has always gotten the most flack for its aesthetics, but that poster is straight up Aquatope stuff.
It's a super fitting poster for the final season that's for sure. A real beaut.
**TODAY IS A GREAT FUCKING DAY**
Thats another anime getting fully adapted.
I feel like we are starting to get more and more series getting fully adapted these days. Anime is no longer just a means of advertisement for the source material. I think we are going to get more and more series (that are complete, a lot of manga/LN series actually are not) getting fully adapted in the future which is awesome to see.
> I think we are going to get more and more series (that are complete, a lot of manga/LN series actually are not) getting fully adapted in the future which is awesome to see.
And we have Classroom of the Elite making a big announcement next week too 👀
There's a leaked that the Classroom of the Elite big announcement is just a 2nd year manga adaptation.
Oh? as someone who has read a lot of the Light Novels for that series that does excite me. Although, I was confident that this announcement was anime related because it came from the "Anime" twitter account. So hopefully CoTE gets another anime, however, that is a series that I do not see ending anytime soon, so a full adaptation is way too far away to even think about :P
Would you be able to link the classroom of the elite account that said they're having an announcement??
It'll be announced when the new issue of Monthly Comic Alive comes out on the 27th, might not even be anime related so don't get your hopes up.
>Thats another anime getting fully adapted
What other anime are getting fully adapted? Think the only one I'm aware of is Saiki. May have watched some others without realizing too
Gintama is fully adapted as far as I’m aware
only 1 chapter was skipped
Attack on Titan
not technically confirmed, but almost 100% demon slayer
Made a list of Manga/Novel in MAL top 100 with full adaptation
Jojo part 4
Legend of Galactic Heroes
Monogatari First Season
Monogatari Second Season
Monogatari Final Season
Banana Fish (changed a lot)
ReLife (skipped a lot)
oregairu (skipped a lot)
Your lie in April
Ashita no Joe
Monogatari hasn't adapted 2 whole seasons of the story though :(
Feel so happy for ONE. Both of his series OPM and Mob Psycho 100 are so damn popular.
And he deserves it all.
He creates solid stories that people enjoy.
And he's also an amazing at composition in his stories.
Sadly there is no news of OPM season 3.
Just 10 more years!
Right after the NGNL season 2 announcement from what I've heard
With Devil is a Part Timer getting a second season, anything is possible.
After season 2, I think people are happy about that. Maybe Bones can do OPM after they’re done with Mob
Probably because the manga, which the anime is adapting, is barely an arc ahead. I don’t think there’s enough to adapt.
There is a ridiculous amount of story to adapt IMO, its just that the arc is so long that an entire season wouldn't be enough to cover it if it sticks to season 1 pacing.
He’s a great storyteller with a fantastic flair and hilarious sense of humour. He deserves it completely
Still sad that One Punch Man season 2 dropped the ball so hard. But God damn Mob Psycho has been amazing quality from start to finish!!
Sure the animation wasn't as expressive as season 1 but I still enjoyed it and don't think it's the dumpster fire people try to make it out to be.
It went from one of the most amazingly animated first season to just above average second season. It's always the gap that hits people the hardest, so they overreact
the actual content was just as good imo, but the animation in S1 is just incredible man
I disagree respectfully. For me, a big part of One Punch Man's humor was derived from overly good animated scenes to express tension and how ridiculously strong Saitama is. Special effects and good animation can really showcase the raw power of a character. The 2nd season failed massively in that regard and I just couldn't enjoy it as much because of it.
An example would be when Garou jumped towards Saitama in the street, and Saitama casually kicked him away. In the anime, as I remember it, you didnt even see the impact of the kick. Just garou flying towards Saitama, quick cutaway and cut back to him flying away. That scene would have had me laughing hard if the impact was actually animated and in great detail too, cuz it would have caught me off guard. I do understand that this way works well too for most people, since it was a casual kick. Just not for me personally.
Wonder how they will top the S2 OP.
Hear me out… what about 99.99?
FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON FIGHT ON
Always good to see good boy. Also Tachikawa isn't the main director and is taking an executive role? Interesting.
Maybe he's planning on doing another original at NUT?
Death Parade was so good
Broccoli let's goooo
As someone who's read the manga, let me assure everyone that season 3 will be the best of the series. Beyond hyped that it's official, Mob Psycho will almost undoubtedly be my all-time favourite anime once this airs.
For me it already is.
I remember I read the manga years ago and the last few chapters have a seasons worth of content itself
That's great to hear.
As it is, Mob Psycho 100 S1-S2 is already a tie for my third favorite anime series ever (first being Cowboy Bebop, second being Gintama, Hibike! Euphonium being the other tied for third).
Wait of 100 days finally paid off.
I am getting good sleep tonight
Let's fucking goooooo
Mob Psycho 100 season 3 confirmed on my birthday <3
I'm so fucking hard right now
My boy Reigen is back!
Yessir! The GOAT
THANK GOD IT'S SEASON 3 AND NOT A MOVIE
I totally thought the WB logo meant it'd be a movie lol. I can't wait. Now the question is should I rewatch now or rewatch before it comes out. Trick question, I'll rewatch twice easily.
Big same. I was VERY worried about it being a movie.
**Mob! Mob! Whatever you want!**
**Mob! Mob! Whenever you want!**
**Mob! Mob! Wherever you want!**
**Move! Move! Just like mob!**
The count up idea was fun.
Huh? Where's my gacha game?
Anyways, I'm fucking excited, I've been waiting for this one.
oh god oh frick
Return Of The King
The best boys are coming back to us when we needed them most
I’m only kind of kidding when I say anime is saved.
THERE IS A GOD!
AND HIS NAME IS DIMPLE
You mean Psycho Helmet?
I worship no false idols, only the bedimpled snot himself.
*Looks at noose*
Not today, old friend.
The mob is alive, the mob is high😭😭😭. This is gonna be amazing
So excited for this. Season 2 was probably my favourite single season of any anime I've watched in awhile. Ready for the animation to go absolutely wild again
kept you waiting huh
My happiness is immeasurable and my day is made !!!
I'm at 100% let's go
Hope they also do the Reigen spinoff.
how high will they count this season?
All things are possible in Reiwa. In this case A FULL ADAPTATION FOR MOB! I wonder if it’s a full 12 with some original episodes or a shorten season to wrap up to the final chapter. Hoping for the later so that can just go full on budget glory with every episode.
I think this might have just stolen the Chainsaw Man hype for biggest show of 2022 for me.
See ya guys, gonna be busy rewatching every episode of the series.
1 Mob Psycho announcement cause more noise than Tokyo Revengers ever did
Oh boy the amount of attention Mob is getting in this trailer excites me.
Say it with me lads:
FIGHT ON! FIGHT ON! FIGHT ON!
Season 2 was near flawless, both seasons are masterclass in anime.
I just started season 1 yesterday so this is perfect timing!
You are in for quite a ride!
Yeah I’ve been able to watch quite a lot among all the work I still have to do since I have covid and can’t really leave my room so I’m on episode 8 and it’s really good.
Hope you get well soon!
PLEASE oh PLEASE make Mob Choir make the opening for S3!!!
Yes! I'm so hyped to see this series return!
This for sure is gonna be the most awaited anime for the next few years. LEZZZZ GOOOO
I've been watching the twitter countdown since around the 85% mark ans I'm glad that there was an announcement at the end. I knew it was countdowning for something big though.
I am relieved that it was a season and not a film. Don't get me wrong, a film would be good but with films not being released till months later in the UK, I probably wouldn't be able to see it for a while. And since it would probably be the last season (according to manga readers) I wouldn't want to wait a while and possibly be spoiled. It similar to why I didn't want a attack on Titan film for the end.
I'm hyped for this though.
[This is me right now](https://media0.giphy.com/media/jIXcTEmU5RCpO/giphy-downsized-large.gif)
