Yes

Dagz1

This is your correct answer.

jd515

Great! Thanks.

Rlena25

I opted out of beta on my p6 yesterday and never received a downgrade patch. Hoping that they just roll us over to stable today. I was going to give the phone to my daughter, but I need to get the beta off first.

Hour-Opinion2497

It did on my 6a.

twatsforhands

Maybe

jd515

Oh.

twatsforhands

I'm waiting as well. We're supposed to be gety to stable < 50mb download today, but it may well be delayed. Just sit tight and don't install that 200mb+ system update.

KeyanFarlander

Hopefully. Do you trust Google and/or your carrier to actually push the update in a timely manner?

jd515

I'm on Voda UK and they're pretty good.

Shtnonm1985

Who knows there still ain't no images on there website for them yet and there usually up by now

leroyswa

The ota is live, but I'm still getting the downgrade ota

jd515

What's the best way to do this - restart, perhaps?

jd515

Tried that - didn't work. Weird.

Xcell_Miguel

I restarted and it still offered the downgrade, stayed on the update screen as I was searching reddit on PC and it refreshed and now it's downloading a 6.86 MB security update.

leroyswa

I had the same, but I didn't click in download and install, it started itself without me able to check if it was the correct one. I'm assuming it's the right one with less than 7mb. Did you already restart?

Xcell_Miguel

I just restarted, it was a long install as usual... March 5 security update, build number TQ2A.230305.008.E1 Camera app is still version 8.7 and no update in the Store, but the "Pixel Tips" app (I don't know if it's the English name) notified me that there was some news features, and it shows that the Camera app should have new Night mode settings, which I don't have yet.

leroyswa

Also tried that. No result

OkService3079

What if you accidentally started the downgrade update and have it paused? Will the stable update still show up?

lightrush

I did reboot before it got paused. Only to discover it was still installing post-reboot. Then I went to Google Play Services which owns the System update screen and cleared all of its data. Then when I opened the Software update settings it showed Preparing update but the update size was ~6MB which I presume is the stable OTA.

jd515

Thanks! I tried this and it worked.

lightrush

Mine hasn't finished yet though so I still don't know if I dun fucked up. E: It worked. Phew.

OkService3079

How big was the update size? It's saying 6.79mb for me and I still have the downgrade update paused. It might've actually overwritten that with the stable update for me.

lightrush

A bit over 6MB. Don't remember the exact number. Also I has to readd my credit card to Google Wallet and reactivate Google One backup after the update. That's due to clearing Google Play Services data.

OkService3079

Sweet thanks for telling me that. It does marche up with mine so I'm taking the risk. Still surprised it overwrote the downgrade update. Also I see that it might be a pain to rest all that up.

lightrush

I think I rebooted once after clearing Play Services data.

Competitive_Web_6012

Did you clear All Data or just the cache? It says all files, settings, accounts, databases will be deleted, is this fine?

psykoX88

Fucked my pixel watch, had to factory reset it and now won't pair with Fitbit app, also still only getting downgrade option with wipe... Be careful using this tip, may not work the same for everyone

leroyswa

I don't think so. I think you're f*cked then

Competitive_Web_6012

It's 3/21 6pm EST and I am on Verizon. Opted out and still waiting for TQ2A . System update still only gives me the beta downgrade option of size 253MB. What can I do? Delete Google Play Services Data? what data will that delete and will it restore from backup? TIA

jd515

That's what I did and I had no further issues. Best of luck!

UnlikelyMix1391

I'm in the same boat. Pixel 6 Pro Verizon. Downgrade OTA still showing. No sign of stable release. Not sure what the deal is. Tempted to try the Google Play Services clearing data approach.

Competitive_Web_6012

Tell me if your temptations lead you to this.

Competitive_Web_6012

i just did the delete all data from play services. restarted. says preparing my system update and comes back to the same downgrade screen. No TQ2A. Incidentally, still had my google accounts but only thing I lost are my cards in Google Wallet. ( maybe something else I did not discover yet), but phone is fine apart from that.
