8mm Mauser if I had go guess. I can't really make out the headstamp.

Bassemand3105

That would make sense found it near bastogne

LittleLemonKenndy

Best guess.

[deleted]

I am also in the 8mm Mauser camp

Machine_xl

Definitely looks like 8mm Mauser clips

meemmen

It's got one bump in the middle, that's an FAL or M14 clip

Machine_xl

Yeah it could be

Chinlander

For slaying vampires

Bassemand3105

They look more brass irl

Time4SumPunch

Can’t really make out the headstamp, but I think I can see a 15 a 29, a C maybe 57? Not sure but they don’t look long enough for 30-06, and are on stripper clips so I’m also thinking 8mm Mauser 7.92x57

meemmen

7.62x51, that's an FAL/M14 stripper

ToxapeTV

The actual bullet is just too long, and the bottleneck isn’t that steep. Pretty sure it’s 8mm like everyone else is saying. https://images.app.goo.gl/DKHyyDgTTGM5EAer7

meemmen

I've got like 600 rounds of the stuff sitting my boxes rn, p sure I'd know if it was 8mm. The case looks too short, and the bullet too narrow relative to it.

ToxapeTV

Okay yeah looking at it again today I can see it’s NATO, ur right.

meemmen

I can definitely see how the round on the left could trip you up though, the shoulder on that one is weird

StepVanity

Take a few measurements and you'll likely figure it out.

GLG-twenty

Pretty sure it's 8mm Mauser Armor Piercing Tracer. If you can make out the headstamp or sealant color that should tell you what color they trace.

Bassemand3105

Only place I can see any colour is the primer and it's red

Bassemand3105

Also says 2 bullets say 37 P S 60 1 says 9 15 7ss Du 1 says S 38 P442 S with a star symbol 1 says G 4 18 S67 Hope this helps Also might be a bit off on some of the text on the bullets they are a bit old after all

GLG-twenty

Okay so after getting home and checking my little collection I misremebered. Primer sealant color is how you determine the bullet on the British made 8mm for the Besa MG. On the German rounds like you have here the 38 number is the manufacturing year, the P*** is the manufacturer code, so which factory it came from. The S or S* is the information code for which brass the case is made out of and the fourth number is the lot number. If I remember correctly standard AP 8mm is unmarked but Black Tip painted 8mm is AP Tracer. Mine came in the original box with gelb (yellow) on the box which means the Tracer color is yellow. So I don't know how you could tell Tracer color other than shooting it. https://stephentaylorhistorian.com/2020/06/19/german-ww2-7-92mm-headstamps-how-to-id-them-manufacturer-list/

Bassemand3105

HM thanks interesting I'm probably not going to shoot them tho The were found a few miles out from Bastogne

GLG-twenty

That's amazing!
