Mfamos1

You should have made the trade already! Whatcha waiting on?!?

redjar006

Out of town on work dude definitely wants to do the trade he hit me up first lmao

Mfamos1

Jump on that bruh, hella in your favor!

redjar006

Yeah kinda figured lol

[deleted]

But with or without the optic?

redjar006

With optic, also 7 mags, and about 250 rounds he's giving me 500 rounds and 5 Circle 10 mags

[deleted]

Before you do the trade - shoot the gun and make sure nothing is aloof. Strip it and check internals and etc.

redjar006

Yeah gonna take it apart and check the internals and bore as well, it hasnt been shot much he says, has the upgraded Arsenal trigger, The way he talks is he'd rather have a reliable AR cause he doesn't like how heavy the Sam7 is with the SLR rail

[deleted]

Hmmmm. Could be personal preference. Here is what I will say. First rifle i shot was my AK. I enjoyed the crap out of it. Then i was given the chance to shoot someone's AR and I let him have the AK. I did not enjoy the AR as much as my AK. Call me crazy - but i felt more recoil on the AR than my AK. Also maybe just a perception thing but i thought the 556 was louder than the 762.....

redjar006

Yeah, I had an upgraded Wasr that I loved but wanted something alittle more compact so Traded it for a 12.25 Romanian Draco in 7.62x39. Really enjoy the AK platform and like the Charm of them compared to ARs just wasn't sure if I should sacrifice my AR for another AK haha

3PercentMoreInfinite

If it was a carbine length AR then it’s going to have sharp recoil that seems to be more intense than an AK. That’s because AKs are heavier and have more of a drawn out recoil response. If it was a mid-length or rifle-length AR then it should have felt like a .22LR.

PomegranatePro

Thats a $2000 AK with $250 in magazines and $150 in ammo going for upwards of $2000 on gun broker Thats a mutant ass AR you could probably build better and for well unde half the cost of the AK deal. This is an absolute steal. OP is robbing this man.

Speedhabit

You ask in this sub? C’mon man

PomegranatePro

It is like asking the wolves if they want to eat your cat or Wallstreet if they'd like your money. In this case it's an absolute steal though based on value alone you could flip that deal and buy a way better AR.

Quick-Highway-2460

I love both rifles but these days I think the trade is absolutely worth it. Aks are going to keep going up in value and a good Ar is gonna stay around that $1000 mark. I would personally trade.

ITaggie

KAC would die of laughter if I offered them $1k for a complete AR

Quick-Highway-2460

Kac isn't a good rifle though. Kac are way better than good lol. He isn't trading a kac.

unproffesionalbuilds

What does KAC do different then any other mil spec manufacturer? Asking out of ignorance as I have no idea, 3k for an AR seems ridiculous to me. But I’m not their targeted audience

Quick-Highway-2460

It's a lot of little things and a few big things. The short version is that they have amazing quality, they inspect things and make sure everything works and works well, good barrels, everything is just tops. Those are the little things. They actually have a proprietary bolt and chamber which makes the gun stronger and last longer where ARs have most breakages. So they have to make their own stuff and that stuff is also top quality. In short I would watch garand thumbs video on the rifle as I think he has two and they go into those details of why kac is so good. For me I think it's overkill with diminishing returns for the price, but they are an amazing rifle.

unproffesionalbuilds

Okay cool, if you’re fighting with a rifle day in and day out then a KAC is the choice it seems. But for the average consumer, it’s just not worth the dough. They look beautiful that’s for sure. I’ll give that video a watch thank you for taking the time to respond!

Quick-Highway-2460

Yeah I'd say that's about right. I think a bcm or Daniel defense is also a great choice and would have zero issues running one of those but if I got to choose an AR to fight with it would be a kac or LMT. Once again though we are talking diminishing returns for sure. For the price I would say bcm is the way to go. They are in my opinion the lowest top tier rifles you can buy. Top tier is still top tier.

PomegranatePro

An overpriced standard AR for $1000. A nice home build is $1000-1500 A plinkster $400-600

Quick-Highway-2460

Not over priced at all. While I agree you can build a great Ar for less, i would recommend most just get the$1000 bcm or whatever over building. Why? Mostly because I've seen more home built ARs have issues at classes then a company built Ar. My first Ar was built and it's a beast, I also had my brother who is professional armorer in NSW help me out. So I agree with you but I also disagree lol. In short while I think I could do a good job building an AR I would trust a Daniel Defense over myself. Especially for a tyrant killing gun or home defense gun.

PomegranatePro

I trust myself over the company. There are simply and easy function tests. You've got to be pretty smooth brained to mess it up and not notice either upon assembly or testing it at the range. There's only so much that can go wrong. Turn a couple screws, insert the disconnector spring, trigger, and hammer spring the right way and make sure the safety is tight. Ruger drilled my front sight post holes on my barrel crooked causing failure to feeds. If you want it done right you have to do it yourself. I'm not waiting to ship anything back and forth and shouldn't have to. We all pay a premium upcharge for supposed quality control. Ruger lost my trust and it's over. A low factory mistake rate sounds good until your that guy who bought the garbage...

Quick-Highway-2460

Then keep building and doing the most sir. 💪 Ruger makes plinker rifles so I would absolutely agree with you on that lol.

Thebale

That value is $2550 all new plus value of whatever ammo type it is. So subtract the used value to you and is that more than your AR? Plus AK cool factor.

PomegranatePro

Thats what I'm saying!!! This is a steal. Even if you hated AKs flip it for an amazing home build AR.

bendybillsimp

If you don't make this trade, then I will.

Starlord-94

You should definitely take that trade

Its-JonDoe556

Once you go SAM7 you never go back.

MayOrMayNotBePie

Can confirm

1108dude

Can confirm as well

NotReqd

Even up?? Absolutely. Your franken AR ain't worth $1800. Dooo itttttt 💪💪💪

redjar006

Yeah thats kinda what I was figuring lol

PomegranatePro

Not even close. The visual turn off from mismatched colors would put the value down alone in my opinion Maybe $1200 if that's a surefire flashlight, an Eotech scope, and I could trade that key mod rail for a midwest industries mlock. To top it off the big ass A for aero looks like shit on the lower. They make nice stripped uppers though

NotReqd

I replied before he added pics

PomegranatePro

What is the AK guy thinking?

donnie_rulez

What's the scope? I assume it's going on the ar in the trade

redjar006

Primary arms Acss raptor 1-8x and yes

a_responsible_boi

Fucking yes dude what are you waiting for that's a schlappin deal right there

redjar006

Yeah, out of town for work, planning on meeting him asap

a_responsible_boi

Sweet! Make sure to post your new strap!

redjar006

Yessir, gonna add a +1 to my beginning AK collection lol

kzitekmpls

Yes!

mass9126

I'd do it. You can build another ar15. This ak is far more rare and collectible in comparison

BackgroundBig0

This is the correct answer, plus if you were to list your AR and the AK for sale, the AK would sell faster and for more. Most people to not pay much for home built ARs unless they want an AR exactly like the one you built.

Greywind_Abysswalker

Do it.

Stardust-0083

100%

secondhandsaleen

yes

meeasley

Send it Already !!!!!!!!

tango_down69

100%

Wyle-Killiams

I don’t know what upper you have sting on that Aero but honestly definitely make the trade. You can easily rebuild down the road. Know one knows what AKs will go for in the future.

redjar006

It's an early factory Colt 6960 combat unit Carbine upper with the slight purple anodizing so kinda Rare 🤷‍♂️ worth about 800 beans to the right person

Wyle-Killiams

That’s fair. Early Colt anything now a days is a nice find. I’ve actually been stopping myself for months from buying and old Colt 733 upper. If you don’t feel too attached to it I would probably still say it’s worth the SAM7-SF.

redjar006

Yeah think im gonna pull the trigger, literally

AyyPecks

Well if you already had that AR you already thought of ways you could upgrade it , trade it for the sam then just build a better AR

kaldoranz

I would. Good luck.

TheMawsJawzTM

Yes

Substantial_Owl3244

Get the arsenal. The sam7sf shoots like a dream and is soooooooo smooth.

wiggleee_worm

No sell. Only buy.

redjar006

No buy. Only Unethically source.

Stunning_Apartment49

Not even a question JUMP ON IT

alansmooth91

Depends …….. what did you build your AR with ? ( upon 2nd glance I see your pictures) fucking take that deal or you’re stupid ! Lol

redjar006

Haha dremel go brrrr

redjar006

JK, factory upper, but assembled, and staked lower all to spec by me

dadgotsball

No keep it

redjar006

Seem to be the only one not in favor lol

riverratroberto

I would definitely jump on that. No telling what the prices on some of the sought after AK patterns are gonna look like for the next few years and it’s easy enough to build another ar. If anything you could flip the sam for some profit.

Pist0lPetePr0fachi

Yes

AccordingWrap105

Tell him I'll trade two ar15s for it & pay freight cost

redjar006

Think im gonna take this one lol

AccordingWrap105

I would. Just considering the current value of ak platforms vs what it cost to build an Ar15

1SGDude

Yes ARs are easier to find and/or source to build another one

Daedalus-1066

It is your call, My personal belief is I would keep one on each platform when at a min.

VoodooChild68

Does a bear shit in the woods? Hope you made the trade by now

JD_Drums12

Get the Sam7-SF!!! Love mine!

SprayPretend1856

Why not both?

redjar006

Don't have $1800 plus to drop on a sam 7 right now cause Christmas 😂

SprayPretend1856

Then pay $900 and get a WASR. Don't get rid of your AR.

CaptianAcab4554

ARs are a diamond dozen. He can get a new one for less than a WASR any day if the week. Hell, he could just flip the SF and get a used SR15.

Waffles_4_Breakfast

I think you meant "dime a dozen".

CaptianAcab4554

Listen buddy it's a doggy dog world out there.

redjar006

Yeah, it doesn't take rocket appliances to figure that out

Technical-Clothes237

You know, I think he’s something of a coinisoor

redjar006

Had a wasr traded for a Draco lol

-HoosierBob-

“Full size Draco”….so a WASR?

redjar006

Essentially, but yanno the COOL wasr like imma load my clipsazinez, grab my Draco, then mag dump into trash. So The 12.25" one lmao

Bestrong47

What are the details of your ar make/model/upgrades ?

redjar006

Bestrong47

Yeah man do the the trade

redjar006

Yeah, as soon as im back from work!

Eichenlaub_ter

Answer is yes without any doubt

jcseks

Do it, do it. You can always but another Ar someday.
