What are your favorite and most memorable guns you’ve owned?

What are the best and coolest air soft guns that you own now, or have owned in the past?

I’ve owned a bunch of great air soft guns over the years. For me, there are two that stick out.

Favorite GBB: Knights Armament KAC PDW.

Favorite AEG: Real Sword Type 56.

The PDW was such a bad ass GBB. I got one back in 2010, they were hard to come by at the time but awesome I’m the CQB arena.

The Type 56 was amazing and probably the most realistic air soft gun I’ve ever seen to this day. One of my favorite features of the 56 was the ability to run 2 batteries at once and make it fire twice as fast. The only draw back was the weight, but it was a great gun for outdoor sessions.

Now back to the question at hand. What are the coolest air soft guns you’ve had in the past or do have now?

Mistakingcone99

My LCT G3, with cetme furniture that wooden beauty draws many eyes on the fields. Able to get people up to imprrssive range due to the hk diopter sight and front sight being so easy to use. And that slap. https://preview.redd.it/xmgqn5ie35pb1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=002bf05b336832a21567a9bb88c77950a0bbfb69

Tutes013

I second this. What a beaut

Thanagherion

Inhale a regular black lct g3 and absolutely agree

tstackspaper

Does your field attire match the gun? If so that’s cool AF.

Mistakingcone99

Im trying to find some spanish boscoso camo

theyst0lemyname

This is the correct answer. They were fairly available when I first started playing and I've always regretted not picking one up with the stock.

Tutes013

I owned an LCT PKP. God what a fucking menace. Uttelry brutal to play with. Same weight as a small child, insane durability and firepower. And it was just so damn loud. Combined with the menacing looks, it always got an audience. I loved that thing but it was time for me to move on after I got rid of all my Russian gear half a year ago. Just didn't feel comfortable playing it anymore.

ChrisbKreme062

Totally fair ditching the gear, shame about the gun. Must have been a blast though!

Tutes013

It was. But I'm buying an M240 by a partnering of Dave Custom Airsoft and Lambda Defense. Similair weight, size and performance. But this time, Dutch gear approved!

ChrisbKreme062

Holy shit thats killer

Tutes013

Killer for my wallet, yeah. https://www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk/dca-m240l-gpmg-aeg-pre-order Yeah I hate money.

[deleted]

I also had one of those KAC PDW and I had a tapped drum mag for it. Kept the foregrip on the side. Sadly I got scammed out of it to some dude back in 2019.

tstackspaper

Damn that sucks bro. You had the GBB version or the AEG? If it’s the ladder, I didn’t know they made GBB drum mags (or they didn’t back in the day that I knew of)

[deleted]

It was the GBB version and the RA Tech drum mag. I got mine from Evike. They make an AEG version now and I’m undecided if I want it.

tstackspaper

Yeah I remember I when I worked in the air soft industry about 10 years ago the first company I remember making the AEG version was WE. I never grabbed one because I had the GBB so it just didn’t make sense. Who knows, now that I’m thinking about getting back into it, I may grab one at some point 🤷🏽‍♂️

MaxiTheSmol

The G&G AK5C is probably the most memorable, even if it’s not even that fun to play with, over 10kg with the UBGL Very cool wall hanger though :)

tstackspaper

I always thought the AK5c was an interesting design and look. I bet you got a lot of questions about that one.

zakany-balazs

Type 89f everyone looks at it like wtf is that

nin9ty6

LET'S FUCKEN GO THAT'S MY BOY https://preview.redd.it/vbgx2sp7s7pb1.jpeg?width=2304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1099d4bd8a062ae600ac5b23bf918c3bf2337ecb

tstackspaper

Particularly the F version with the folding stock - deff my favorite model.

nin9ty6

https://preview.redd.it/bjfxfpwye8pb1.jpeg?width=2304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a86d114d96a814e83b78ac82493ce90f1f1ce2cf I had trouble at first cause the stock is shorter than I'm used to so it was much closer to receiver . I like how it looks with the bipod but it adds so much weight to the front so for games I have it off

zakany-balazs

love it

tstackspaper

The 89-F has the folding stock, right? That’s a pretty bad ass model. I could imagine people are always asking exactly what it is. What company?

zakany-balazs

Tokyo marui, the gbbr version

tstackspaper

Yeah that’s sick. TM is such an OG in the air soft realm.

zakany-balazs

works pretty well too. Here is some gameplay if you are interested https://youtu.be/ohrtwDjM06s?si=GQpV4I3_nHIiJSq8

tstackspaper

Is that your video?

Feisty_Gear

A double bell Kar 98k. It was the most impractical gun I had. Shell ejecting made it a collectors item rather than something you use in game. It was super fun though. Loading the shells in a was top novelty experience.

PettyPterodactyl

e&l ak74u preupgraded from begadi. ive had this gun for some time now. never broke down never fucked with me beautiful exterieor and shoots a like a laser

Blitzfire87

Mine hands down is my ICS M1 Garand. That rifle has been to hell and back in the rain and mud over the 7 years I’ve owned it, and it still kicks ass today.

datguyfromoverdere

TM SGR-12 - a semi tri shot with great range after upgrades is fun DT 4 HPA - Nothing better than a double barrel m4 PDRC HPA - Nothing better out there MDRX HPA - Abit of a project, best bullpup trigger. Took awhile to redo the main parts of the hopup to make it useable 8mm tri shot gas shot gun - Everyone always called their hits. WE Golden Desert Eagle - Yup.

Beef_turbo

Used to have the M14 EBR

theyst0lemyname

Memorable is a tie between my pts fpg, Tano Koba VP70 and Real Sword SVD. They're all great for different reasons. My favourite is my Classic Army M15a2 carbine. It was my first gun 18 years ago, had a few systema upgrades put in and served me for years until it got retired for newer stuff. A couple of years back I dug it out and turned it into a BHD delta carbine with a high speed gearbox capable of 30rps and a perun mosfet for near instant trigger response. https://preview.redd.it/52novolmk6pb1.jpeg?width=4608&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e91ecd0762012e95c93981a2639d18985bbee558

ALfirefighterEMT14

Oh! Nice rifle! Mines about the same save for camo bc all the fields here are forrests https://preview.redd.it/uiqa0y83zbpb1.jpeg?width=539&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78b9b918ab977bde43e2681982e2a1046999bf27

ShioriAK

Can always go back to a PDW they are still made and good performers, love mine 👍

tstackspaper

I was looking around and saw that they seem to be more readily available these days. Back when I had mine GBB rifles weren’t as common in general.

tstackspaper

Which one do you have now?

ShioriAK

10inch WE GBB one, it's good just expect some time later to upgrade the trigger group and loctite all the screws when you get one, that's really the only problem it has.

MitsuraKei

Used to own a Tanaka Type 38 a few years ago which I sadly had to sell due to some financial issues back then, still miss that gun till this day

pepepopo1008

wowawiwowa

A VFC AK74u with stock rail. Kinda rare

Revent10n

the type 56 is one of the last few guns I've got on my bucket list as a collector

tstackspaper

I remember back when I first got the Type 56 not many people in the air soft world even really knew about it or they just thought it was an expensive gun because of the price tag (in 2008 I think it was around $500) I’m about to try and hunt one down. Definitely the coolest most reliable/ durable gun I ever had. Worth every penny, and definitely a must have for collectors. Get one if you come across it, you won’t regret it.

New-Inspector-9628

This guy was my first purchase when I started getting serious in airsoft. It had shaped my play style and what I look for in future guns. Despite being 7 years old, it remains as my go-to gun.

tstackspaper

Oh yeah.. that’s seen ACTION.

randomtlaxn

Memorable: s&t M4 why it was just a shit gun Favorite my lct G3 or my elite force ctar they're just beautiful

TheSnomSquad

CYMA AK. First gun, and never felt outclassed. Still stock. Been through thick and thin.

InkblotDoggo

D-Boys shell-ejecting Kar98k is definitely my most memorable. Even though the gas system died ages ago, I still keep it. Sometimes, it's fun to just work the bolt and watch the shells go launching. Favorite? Probably my old beater of an M4. Basic CYMA M4 with a red dot themed after an ACOG, a verticle foregrip, a fake PEQ-15, and a light. That's it. That old girl remains my back-up to this day.

Cerebral-Hemorrhage

I made a G3kA4 by shortening the cocking tube, getting a real hk33 handguard, collapsible stock, and navy style grip. It was the best tuned aeg I had. There was also my King Arms Galil Sar. I gave it a really neat camo pattern that got alot of compliments. https://preview.redd.it/rnsaefkk3apb1.jpeg?width=437&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e74d5c3ff7932aa9049d7903958f608637b5a8f

Vast_Law1630

yo mine was a WE 1911 omg it was the best gun i’ve ever had i loved it… till i sold it. dumb discussion but i have this now and i’m happy need a barrel extension but looks good so far https://preview.redd.it/gfrzx8nrm5pb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08f7642672e4358b94a832a6574a405499897d86

tstackspaper

The WE 1911 was my main side both indoor and outdoor. I remember I used to carry one in the holster in the CQB when I worked as a referee too. What an amazing GBB. Never had any issues with it, not even leaky mags.

Vast_Law1630

never leaky mags on that gun i never field it tho only shot it in my backyard lol

BeagnothSaxe

I had a GHK PDW with all the spares plus the short and long front end (undo with the 2 large Allen key bolts underneath. A very good GBB, precursor to the G5 (many similarities). Over the years I have slimmed the ‘collection’ down - probably owned just about everything at some stage. Now have the 3 attached: Real Sword Type 97 (got box and everybody single spare inc GB shell and motor cage) - runs stock except small Gate mosfet, bucking and barrel. CYMA Bizon (completely overhauled the GB every part except the tappet arm, cutoff etc) - also changed barrel/Begadi hop etc. Well WE23-S minigun - stock. So good @40rps and decent 45m-50m range (decent accuracy too). https://preview.redd.it/nqzpzxlih6pb1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=3f8450c251b5651cc4143ffa26e2f34c2b6b3ed2

tstackspaper

Sick collection!! That RS 97 is awesome, I don’t know why I ever got one to go with the 56 I had.

Internal_Craft9103

I honestly don’t even love using it because it’s to small for my arms but my p90 is still my favourite I mean what’s not to like lol

tstackspaper

P90 goes hard in the CQB arena. It you mad have a sore shoulder at the end of the day, but definitely worth it.

The_HunterDestroyer

My replica: cyma CM508 https://preview.redd.it/ksih4h0927pb1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=131eba19ea9313db01c62166edffe71e96b7e20e

ReynoldsHouseOfShred

I bought a TM mp5 with the burst function and recoil. Amazing gun. Idk why i ever got rid of it

WisniAirsoft

Sword Cutlass from WE

NEVERVAXXING

Favorite previously owned - HPA P* jack M60 with a PVC barrel Favorite currently owned - GHK Block II Least favorite ever - WE Tech M4 (complete POS)

First_Revenge

Memorable was my tippmann M4. It was my first time getting a recoiling rifle and after that there was no going back. Everything else felt like a squirt gun tbh. Internals ran like a champ and i got 8 solid years out of it, the end came when the actual body of the gun itself cracked. I'd have kept it going, but the bigger problem is that tippmann itself seems to have abandoned the platform amidst its bankruptcy. If they ever get their spares situation sorted i'll happy run it again. Favorite though is the daytona m4 which i picked up after my tippmann finally gave up the ghost. Its more $$ and maintenance work than the tippmann is, but it's even more fun to shoot. I'm fairly confident i'll be able to get at least a decade worth of life out this thing.

Stale_Render

My Predator Tactical Iron Shrike. Loved that 1911 it was all metal. Had a compensator to balance the weight from the magwell. Got so good with tac reloads with that gun. The kick was great https://preview.redd.it/f97z4cyb68pb1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3464e3c9e68ec76f4ffb9a571dba851b9278df79

tstackspaper

I really like those co2 style mags, they’re great for the field.

GreenMan165

I really think my Cyma Bizon is pretty neat overall, sold a couple and keep coming back because it's neat and weird, with a standard gearbox. I also have an SRC MP40 that's neat but... has been a bit problematic for sure. Coolest that I used to own was probably an AGM Sten, people at fields used to gush over it and I keep occasionally wishing I had one again. My LCT AMD-65 was neat, ZB30 from AY was cool, the AGM STG44 still kind of calls out to me. Probably my most memorable gun I don't have anymore was my AY 1918 BAR, the magazines gave me a hell of a time, taking the buttplate off to swap batteries was painful but it was a dream gun. I regret selling it at times for sure.

Sufficient_King5234

I own 2 guns total and I ordered my 3rd it’s being delivered they are all very cheap and unoriginal guns lol

6mmTVairsoft

* Minigun with a high speed motor....

tstackspaper

Did you have that really good classic army one? That one was so cool I remember I used to work for a air soft company and the did an OP one time where there was an assortment of games that had a juggernaut running around with the mini gun.

GhostC10_Deleted

My favorite right now is my MG36, it's been a pain to get running but now that I have, it's so much fun. I put a tightbore 550mm barrel in it, Maple Leaf bucking and nub so far, and laying down continuous accurate fire feels amazing.

tstackspaper

Why was it such a pain to get up and running? 🤔

GhostC10_Deleted

It came with a dogshit seal and terrible accuracy due to it's 6.08 barrel and garbage stock bucking, so I swapped those out. Also had to swap the muzzle device since the barrel was slightly too long for the old one. The fuse that came with it died, even tho it looked perfectly intact, so I had to swap that out. Then I had to get a new spring rest after I lost the stock one, which nobody sells. I had to get one that was close and grind it down until it fit in the QC slots. Finally, the stock spring brought it above 400 with all those changes, so I had to go thru spare springs testing them until one got me to 350ish. I called it good there.

tstackspaper

That’s dope as fuck 😂 I don’t think I ever saw the AA12 in person but it looks like tons of fun.

AxillaryRexor

I highly recommend it, just impossible to get worked on by anyone lol

SurgiCarl

Back in 2007 I owned a JG M16A2. It wasn’t much to look at but it packed a punch out of the box. I miss that thing.

Thexwolf99

So a bit late to the party but it's my GHK AK-74, not fully built yet, but it's a good time.

tstackspaper

GHK? That’s a GBB model right? Maybe late but at least fashionably late 😎

Thexwolf99

Yep GBB with a hard recoil kit, gets a lot of attention in the CQB field I go to because of how loud it is.

blue_sword456

I've got a shortie AS-02 Striker that I've stickerbombed and named "DICKSMASHR" (didn't have enough room for the E). It's a favorite among my friends :)

tstackspaper

😂😂

TheLongestDelonge

Lancer m4s. Used to love them. They were cheap, easy to mod, and some of the only guns I could afford.

ALfirefighterEMT14

My M81 esque camo'd Gary Gordon clone I did from a WE XM177 GBBR, thing is absolutely ripped, all RA Tech insides, the buffer springs are all heavy recoil, and half the mags are HPA tapped too Second most memorable one is the G36C I have stripped apart to put in an XM8 body, that thing slapped hard af too https://preview.redd.it/clp3k30uybpb1.jpeg?width=539&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2a81e1a4ed4a436c25e1f3d6e476d895c155c46

I only have 2 guns and a pistol so I’d say all of them. DE M904C VFC MP7 AEG AAP-01 https://preview.redd.it/a80ewb881lpb1.png?width=2766&format=png&auto=webp&s=4574bdc6e0809e11befd1cab1e085e534682822f
